On private roleplays, I prefer to post paragraph introductions. I'll be working on that right now. It might take a while since I'm doing my homework. |
J.ul.l.i.e.t.t.a~N.i.k.o.l.a.u.s The red head sighed as she brushed her hair out of her eyes and looked around, Julietta was the daughter of the ruling family which reigned over the vampires, and she was out hunting now. Her emerald green eyes flashed towardsa spot hidden by a trees but the scent told her it was nothing more than a squirrel. The pale young woman stopped running and looked around, frowning as she closed her eyes and leaned against the trunk of a tree. She was tempted to head home, as her hunt so far had been unsuccessful. Still she hadn't yet left the vampire territory so maybe she would find more after leaving the boundaries. Opening her eyes she crossed the invisible boundary line and walked down the dirt path which led to a small village. Barely a mile away, the village was perfect place, full of humans, and at such a close range. Sometimes she had wondered if it had been placed there for the vampires. Her methods for hunting were sly, using her looks to get what she wanted. Her general targets were men aged from seventeen to thirty, unless their blood held a certain undesirable appeal. As she entered the village she looked around and frowned, all of its inhabitants were indoors. A wise idea, but was it really wise enough? If worse came to worst she could just pick a lock and slip into a house. Entering a bar, she ordered a glass of wine and looked around, her eyes falling upon the TV set that could barely be heard over the din. It was a sporting event in any case, nothing that really caught her attention. When her drink arrived, she paid and her eyes scanned the bar, looking for her victim. |
[All right. ^^; I'll start as my second character in the morning most likely, I don't know how much longer I have on now.] |
ADRIEN MONTREUIL
Firing, he watched with vague amusement as the figure collapsed, bursting into dust. The girl had been a good sport, toying with him by playing hide and seek, almost, almost making her a hard one. Too bad she lingered on one spot for too long, he would have had so much fun with her. Momentarily twirling the ebony black gun around his fingers, he ran the other hand through his blond hair, smirking. This had been way, way too easy, and if Adrien were to be completely honest, he was bored out of his mind. Withdrawing his guns, the man stepped out of the alley, sticking his hands into his pocket and walking lazily down the street. The night air was crisp and cool, heavy with fog. They liked to hunt in this weather. And by they, he meant vampires. God, he hated them, just the thought of them made him want to rip them apart, limb by limb. Of course, his guns did a fine job at that, Noire and Blanc. Taking a turn down the cobblestone path, he paid particular attention to where they had assigned him to a mission this time. It was a quiet, staid village, but oddly it had had deaths all over the place. And the Hunter Society was correct, there was a vampire there. A bit glad that he had completed the assignment, Adrien pushed open the door to the bar for a little celebratory drink. Taking a seat a few feet away from a particularly wasted looking man, he ordered a martini. Just sitting there and wondering when his pay was going to come, he found his eyes lingering on the woman with a glass of wine. Almost instinct, his hand wandered over to the guns hidden behind his coat, but refrained from doing so Apparently that lady wasn’t the only one terrorizing the village. Martini forgotten, Adrien sauntered over with a smile. “Mind if I sit down?” My, my, have you gone soft my dear? |
CHARLES AND CHARLENÉ AMHERST
“Will you shut up already?” the older of the twins snapped, whipping her head back in an annoyed motion as she crouched in the undergrowth. “I’m trying to find us a target! I told you not to tag along, you’re not experienced enough, runt,” Charlené hissed, storm gray eyes flaring up with anger. Brushing back her light brown hair, the girl stood up properly, rolling her eyes at her brother. Defensively, Charles snapped back, “It’s not my fault you can’t seduce properly! How hard it to walk up to some random man and start fawning over him then sink your teeth into his neck?” Growling, Charles also stood up. Despite being described as a runt, he was just as tall as his sister; both of them were thin and lanky. However, that was just as far as their similarities went, although they were twins. In contrast to his sister’s light, almost angelic features, Charles was dark, black hair sticking up in various strange angles. His amber eyes narrowed down at his sister. Clenching her fists, Charlené rolled her eyes. “You try even talking to those men, they’re all hideous. All drunk at night, toppling over each other, they’re filthy. Beasts,” she replied, giving a snort. Just as she was talking a young man—very young, a teenager by his scent— tottered in their view. He was clearly drunk, stumbling all over the place. “Now that, I can work with,” she said. Walking over to the boy, she put an arm around him, smiling. Taking a moment to whisper in his ear, he laughed giddily, ready for a kiss. Licking his neck gently, she could feel his pulse beneath the skin, and without hesitant, Charlené bit down. There were no screams as the scent of blood filled the air. “Hey, leave some for me!” Charles shouted, and once again Charlené rolled her eyes, dragging the still warm body into the shadows. |
Julietta smiled when the hunter approached her and asked to sit down.
"Of course not." She said calmly, taking a sip of her wine and watching him carefully out of the corner of her eye, though she didn't make it obvious. From his scent she guessed that he was a hunter, however she couldn't be entirely sure so she wasn't going to hurry and judge him. "I'm Julietta." She added nonchalantly, brushing a strand of hair out of her eyes and closed her eyes for a moment before reopening her eyes and smiling slightly. "I've never seen you around before, are you new in these parts?" She asked him. "We get used to seeing the same people in this village, so it always catches the interest of the people here when somebody new is spotted." Taking another sip of her wine, she turned to face him completely. Well, she was ready to lay out the bait but now she needed to see if it wasn't even worth her time to eye him. After all, was the food of commoners really meant for royalty? No, her father had raised her to believe that. |
As the blond walked down the street, her bright blue eyes trained on some unknown point ahead of her. This woman was in the tiny village on business, her for occupational matters and nothing more. Walking down the street she closed her eyes and sighed, reopening them she frowned as she looked around. The night air was cool which meant the vampires should be out. She'd always hated them, and the strangest part was, she was one of them. And it was a miracle she hadn't found a hunter to simply end her life yet. She hadn't wanted to be turned, but no - the lovely Queen of the vampires had turned her over four hundred years ago. Because she was dying apparently. Well Victoria Lee had been perfectly fine with that, after all her husband and two children had already succumbed to the Great Plague of London in 1665. She had welcomed it, eager for a chance to find her family in the afterlife, but the bloodsucker had ruined that opportunity.
Now the vampiress hunted others of her kind, and only when she had wiped out the rest would she end her life. She'd despised them ever since she was a little girl, her grandparents constantly telling her of their evils over the years. They elderly couple would be ashamed to see her now, not only had she been turned, she had lost herself over the years. The blond had gradually begun to lose her sanity over the years, and it showed, especially when she was in a hunt. Unlike other vampires though, she did not feed off humans, she fed off animals, not the tastiest thing in the world but necessary. As she passed an alleyway the scent of human blood caught her off guard and a quiet growl escaped her. A mix of disgust and desire made her turn down the alleyway where she found not one - but two vampires. It seemed today would be her lucky day. |
Plopping down in the seat next to her, Adrien rested his head on his knuckles, giving her a lazy half-glance. “Julietta, pretty name. Never heard of it before.” The bartender walked over, a bit confused that he had suddenly decided to change his spot. “Daiquiri,” he spoke, eyes flickering onto the pig-faced man. Nodding, the bartender immediately went to work. “Name’s Donovan,” he lied to her, mind silently cursing the bar for being so full. He could have taken her out right then and there. “Just passing by, on a business trip for the company,” he replied, raising the daiquiri to his lips. Returning her smile, Adrien continued, “Bastards won’t pay for the transportation or lodging.” With that, he downed the daiquiri.
Putting the now empty cocktail glass down, he could feel the atmosphere suddenly thicken. Sticking his hands in his pockets, he could feel the cold metal of his guns pressing again him. If this vampire chose him as her next target, she was in for big surprise. “But enough about me, what’s a girl like you doing here in the middle of the night?” Ready, set, go! The same has just begun. |
Kicking the corpse away, Charles was complaining to his sister. Yet again. “Will you shut up already? I’m sick of your stupid whining,” Charlené snapped, irritated that she had to do all the work this night they went to hunt. As far as she was concerned, her brother could just die off the face of the Earth. Leaning her head against the hard brick wall, she let out an exasperated groan. “Charlené ?” She heard him say, and growled back, “What?”
“Hunter,” he replied, and at that moment, his amber eyes glinted with what seemed like malice. “Or is she a vampire? Pity, pity, pity,” Charles said, shaking his head. “Such a pretty face too. How’s it like, my dear, to kill off your own kind, practically your flesh and blood?” Charlené looked up, seeing the woman stand there at the alleyway. Soon the air was filled with mocking laughter. Flicking her hair back, Charlené grinned. “I’m bored, let’s play,” she said, jumping and landing onto the roof of a house, watching her brother follow suit. |
[/ "Well..." She began, a smirk playing at lips, "This girl got bored so she decided to go and find something to do, after all its no fun being home alone withtwo old folks who can't admit that they're old." Looking around the bar, she brushed her hair behind her shoulders and turned her gaze back on him. "Sounds like you''re having a great time. Business, huh?"
After ordering another glass of wine, she watched him carefully. It seemed like he was on to her, well she never really had bothered to hide her identity. One pale hand casually touched his shoulder, as she looked at him. "Have you heard about the rumors? The ones concerning what lies very near this village, not even half-way through the forest?" She didn't bother to wait for his reply, "They say that there are vampires! Can you believe that?" She closed her eyes before looking at him once more, "I used to believe in them, but then I realized, if they were real, they'd most likely be extinct by now." She paused, "Quite a few people believe in them, because of all the murders as of late, but frankly, I believe it's some psychotic serial killer whose set on making the murders look like the work of some mythical being." |
The huntress growled as she jumped onto the roof. "Now, what makes you think thst I'm a hunter?" She asked, her eyes gleaming. "I'm insulted." As she looked up at the sky, Victoria frowned. The moon was barely visible in the clouds and she sighed. Looking at the night sky was one of her many joys in life, there was nothing more relaxing to her.
The two were clearly siblings judging by their bickering at one another. Well this shouldn't be too hard; it would just be one less to track down later. |
“Yeah, a blast,” he rolled his eyes in slight annoyance. That vampire he destroyed before wasn’t even remotely fun. Adrien could hardly have called her a challenge now he thought of it. Turning his attention to her fully, he studied her face. She was pretty, like they all were, green eyes and red hair. If you were professional like he was you could spot them from the crowd like that.
Mentally twitching as she touched him, he conjured a smile onto his face. He laughed a bit as she mentioned vampires. What was she trying to do now? “Vampires? Who believes in those anymore?” Watching the bartender bring him another daiquiri, Adrien smirked. “Some killer, imitating vampires, must take some skill, doesn’t it?” Closing his eyes, Adrien sighed. “Well, whoever’s doing that needs to be stopped. Why have’t you guys done anything about it?” ooc// Sorry that my post was, lacking. I'm really tired right now. >.< Apparently the only way I earn gold is by the big font. Ugh. |
[Thats all right, my post would be longer, however I've been suffering from writer's block. >.>]
"We haven't been able to catch him." She said, a hint of irritation in her voice. "Or her. Whoever it is always seems to disappear, and the police are beginning to think that its more than once person." She shrugged and looked at him, "It'll probably all be cleared up pretty soon," Changing the subject, she asked, "So, what kind of work do you do?" |
“You smell like one,” Charles replied bluntly, “Clearly you weren’t born a vampire so you don’t know anything, my dear.” Grinning and putting an arm around Charlené—she grumbled and attempted to push him away— he said, “We were.” Elbowing him in the stomach, the brunette cleared her throat slightly.
“Stop it, you idiot,” she murmured under her breath. Licking the blood off the corner of her lips, she smiled, a smile that mimicked that of her brother’s, she barked, “Stop toying with us. Are you going to kill us or not? I’m bored out of my mind.” Gray eyes flashing against the dim moonlight, Charlené’s smile could only grow wider. |
“Oh, I see,” he said, nodding slowly. There, she just admitted that there were more vampires. Great, just great. Making a mental note to demand more pay once the job was done, he listened as she shot him the next question he had to answer.
Taking a sip from the daiquiri, his eyebrow quirked up when she mentioned his job. “Me? Bodyguard. Need to go to Lyresius and babysit this kid who apparently is the heir to a million dollar corporation and is being targeted for assassination by his uncles.” Smirking, he was actually telling the truth. He was going to protect some brat from something, but certainly not jealous uncles. |
Without a word, the huntress pulled a gun out of her back pocket and aimed at the sister. "No problem for me." She said before pulling the trigger. The one thing she hated about only having a gun with her at the moment was, vampires could easily outrun a bullet with their enhanced speed, and she was sure these two were only toying with her. If only she had a couple of stakes with a silver core on her.
Julietta smiled, "I see." That seemed to be a common phrase when speaking to somebody for the first time. Draining the rest of her wine, she stood up and looked at him, "Well, I'll be going for the night, I do need to get home sometime, unless you care to escort me....?" She paused, "Of course, I really don't want to take away any of your time if you're in a hurry." |
Separating, the bullet sped right past the pair and disappeared into the night. “Aw, that was highly disappointing,” the dark-haired twin said, his eyes studying the huntress. “It’s going to take more than that to kill us. I told you, we were born this way,” he spoke, and was promptly whacked across the head by his sister.
His head snapped up when she announced that she was leaving, with a smile smile, Adrien replied, “But of course, I insist on escorting you. It’s dark and there might be a psychotic serial killer roaming around waiting for his next victim.” Standing up, he paid the bartender and said to Julietta, “Shall we go, the?” |
Victoria stifled a giggle, even though they were vampires, there was no doubt that the two were entertaining, the brother particularly. Pocketing the gun, she looked at them, there was no need to waste anymore bullets. She'd target the, when she was better equiped, as dismemberment was definitely not her style, even though it was an effective way of killing vampires.
"Say...." She began quietly, in a tone that often reminded people of a young mother speaking affectionately to her children, "How about this, I won't kill you now." She told them, "But maybe one day, when I'm rested and better prepared, we'll have a fair match?" She brushed her waist-length blond hair behind her shoulders and looked at the two expectantly. And she did not need another reminder that they were born vampires. Julietta nodded, "I hope you know, we'll have to walk through the forest to reach my home...." She said quietly. "My parents wanted to live somewhere peaceful away from the main population, even though its a small town, and away from technology for the most part.." She blushed slightly as though she were really embarrassed by her parents, though it was merely part of her act, she needed to be convincing after all. Stepping out of the bar, she turned to look at him. |
Charles opened his mouth to say something, but was abruptly cut off by his sister. “You, shut up. I’m doing the talking,” with that said, the brunette responded, “If you say so. Meh. Hunters are getting too easy these days.” Turning around, Charlené jumped onto the next roof, glaring at the back of Charles’ head. Taking the time to stand up and cross her arms, she rolled her eyes again, with a sigh, yelled, “Hurry up runt! Stop flirting!” Fading under the dim starlight, there was no trace of the girl as she disappeared.
Eyeing to make sure that Charlené had surely gone, his amber eyes fell onto the huntress, his expression unreadable. “Looking forward to the rematch, hunter. Been a while since we’ve disposed of a traitor,” he stated matter-of-fact, the tone of his voice changing drastically from the teasing, light-hearted tone before. Following the footsteps of his sister, he too disappeared. Walking behind her, he nodded. “S’okay, just as long as you get home safely.” Adrien’s eyes looked down the dimly lighted street, and up to the night sky above him. The moon had disappeared, leaving on stars dotting a black canvas. Even though the light was dim, he could tell that she flushed pink. “Lead the way,” he said, gesturing down the road. |
Julietta nodded and started to head down the street, her gaze still on him out of the corner of her eye. So, now she needed to decide, was she going to try and toy with him for awhile, play a game of cat and mouse, or get rid of him quickly. Unlike the past few hunters who had come into the area, this one seemed serious. Though her parents had sent her to keep an eye on things and to dispose of the hunters as quickly as possible, she couldn't help except to brighten at the idea of toying with him.
She felt a pang of guilt though. Her younger sister, Kathryn had been born human, and the girl had grown up with a hatred towards vampires because she had seen her father feeding. After that, the eleven year old girl had run off, and they hadn't been able to track her down. She'd probably be sixteen or seventeen by now. Well, the whole point of thinking about her sister was that even though Kathryn wasn't around she was still Julietta's conscience. She was silent as they entered the forest, as she debated whether or not she should. After arriving at her house, a large Victorian style mansion, she looked at "Donovan," and smiled shyly. "Thanks for walking me." She said quietly, before pressing her lips to his. What Kathryn didn't know wouldn't hurt her. |
Taking light steps behind her, he followed, hand finding Blanc and gripped on tight to the ivory white gun. Noire wouldn’t do so well in this situation, being so close ranged to the target. The vampire seemed to be deep in thought at the moment, walking ahead of him. As they trekked deeper and deeper into the forest, he could feel the darkness grow. This was definitely vampire territory.
Adrien looked up once she thanked him, ready to draw out his gun and shoot her in the head. Unexpectedly, her lips crashed against his. Eyes widening, it took him a split second to regain his senses as he drew out Blanc, grabbing Julietta by the neck and holding on tight. “You knew all along, didn’t you?” he whispered into her ear, pressing the cold metal of Blanc against her forehead. “You could have taken me out right when we left the bar, vampire,” he spat out the word vampire like it was a vulgar swearword. “What changed your mind and made you kiss me?” |
