Personality: Anika is the basic shy teenager, but loves to have fun. Anika is very nervous and shy around new people she meets, but when she gets comfortable with them, Anika will cheer up and become bright and fun.
Bio: Anika grew up the normal life, if you call training to use magical powers normal. When Anika was ten, her training to be able to control the magical arts began. Her powers leaned more towards fire and ice. A mitch-matched combo. With her powers, her 'watchers' began testing her more and more, which left little time for her normal life.

Personality At first glance many would think that Kaori is a calm, almost emotionless demon who shields his feelings behind a blank face. But to those who know him, despite his emotionless face they know he is very hot headed and sarcastic and nice to very few. Many fellow demons remember him as a kind kid who only worked to please his familys standards but as far as he is concerned that boy has been long dead.
Bio Kaori's family had been one of the rising demon familys. Few in number they managed to reach the point where what they did mattered and who they hated, every other demon hated too. Unfortunately being so well-known it wasnt long till demon hunters got information about them. It was in the middle of the night when the attack happened. Kaori had been out training privately in order to surpass his older brother and when he heard the screams and fighting he arrived back to his house too late. Not one member of his family was left alive and the house was slowly burning to the ground. It was then and there that Kaori swore to avenge them and has ever since been working to gain that goal.

The morning awoke to a large room, pure white as little snow drops. The female in the bed stirred awake, taking in the bright room. Some day, she needed a darker colored room.

The woman shuffled out of her bed, tripping a bit across the hardwood floor. Was today going to be a good day? Well, it was just the beginning. The female zipped and zapped between outfits, before pulling on a long white shirt and a small gray skirt. Whatever, it worked.

The girl shuffled down to the breakfast hall, finding everyone not at the table. An empty seat sat, with food around it on the oak table. "Breakfast alone again..." She muttered, taking a seat in the chair.

After breakfast, the female hurried off to school, a drag. Being the last one up, met walking wouldn't be fun. The girl walked a few blocks before stopping at one of the corners. Where was her friends, she'd never know.

"Oh, Anika!"

The sudden shout cause her to shiver, before turning around. There they were. All three of them. Oh joy. The girls walked in chatter towards the school, which made it more fun. That must have been the only reason Anika went to school.

It had been a typical morning for Kaori. After being thrown out of yet another pub for getting into yet another brawl he spent the night in the dingy apartment that he had been forced to call home for many years now. A necklace with a strange symbol on it clincked against his neck as he began the ritual of getting the alcohol out of his system, often involving him dunking his head into cold water and then hot water till his senses were clear again. This was his life.

In the corner of the 2 room apartment sat a sword, the only thing besides the necklace he had been able to recover that night so long ago. Frowning Kaori walked towards it, his hair hanging limp and dripping in his face as he slid the metal out of its sheath and examined it. It hungered for blood almost as much as he did, and very soon he knew it would get it. Putting the sword back kaori changed clothes and dried his hair with one of the few towels he owned before stepping outside again.

Leaning on the railing, Kaori watched with narrowed eyes as a girl paused at the corner of the path, seeming confused for a second till others called out her name. Kaori couldnt help but let out a slight growl. If it wasnt for those girls hed have taken her right then and there. But he could wait. After all he already had for this long, whats a few hours till class let out? kaori watched with narrowed eyes as the four of them left before walking down the steps back to the first floor. Yes he could wait just a few more hours.

(( That was so cool. Kind stalkerish, but pretty awesome! XD. ))

Anika shuffled between her classes, only to have the day end swiftly. Strange for a school day. Anika began walking home, her friends following beside her and behind her. There mindless chatter seemed annoying enough, but they just always had to bring in something about boys. What was so great about them? They were immature, and annoying. At least when they turned into their twenties, boys would grow up a little.

Anika waved goodbye to her friends as they departed their own ways. Only a few more blocks until she got home. Anika sighed. Sometimes she wished for something exciting to happen in her life. But, that only usually happened in fairy tales and whatnot.

Kaori was already in position when the girl appeared again on the path. Resting in a bush just off the path, at the sight of her saying her goodbyes, he immediently stood up and made us way to an area along the street she would have to cross with walls high up on either side preventing anyone except those leaning over to see them.

When she approached he leaned against the wall and tried to make himself seem less intimidating as he found most people felt he was. Normally he was fond of the lack of interaction and appreciated them avoiding him. But this time he hoped to talk before she tried to run off.

One hand in his pocket, he got off the wall as she got close enough for him to see her face clearly. Hidden within his pocket was a towel soaked in chloroform in the slight case she did try to get past him and not come with him willingly. The sword on his back hit the wall, causing sparks to shoot off suddenly but he seemed to not notice as something of a smile appeared on his face as he faced the girl. "Hey there."

The young female walked down the path, only to be stopped by a man with dark black hair. Gorgeous. See, why couldn't her friends talk about guys like that? She sighed softly, and glanced at his face. He wasn't familiar, that was for sure. Anika shifted her leg backwards, ready to run if needed. Strangers were danger, that was for sure.

Anika glanced at him from top to bottom, her eyes staring at the sword. Why was that on his back? The Anime Convention was over a month ago. Was he a joker? Anika popped out of her slight day dream and shook her head softly. "Hello..." Her voice was low, as she spoke to him.

((Lol now that post made me laugh. Stranger Danger xDD))

Kaori walked towards her slowly so as to not give her alarm to run. "I had seen you around before..." Oh god was that smile on his face killing him. He would have chopped her down right then if he didnt need the money. "...And I thought I would introduce myself." He ended, stopping a few feet in front of her, taking his hand out of his pocket and leaving the towel in. It didnt seem like she was ready to run just yet.

Even despite Kaori's obvious hatred of her, he found at least she wasnt sore on the eyes. If she was he probably would have given into the temptation of cutting her. "Im Kaori" He said with a slight bow. Sure the bow was a symbol of humility but he knew by shaking her hand his very skin would crawl and he would want to vomit in disgust for touching her. It was not enough to say he hated her and her whole damn family, he just flat out loathed them and prayed for a long painful death for the lot of them.

(( I know. Stranger Danger. Some friends and I began shouting that at the mall. We got kicked out for shouting. XD. ))

Anika tensed up as he came closer, automatically making her step back. She'd never seen this man before, ever. "That's very nice of you.." She spoke in a tone that could really say, 'I could care less.' Anika took another step back. Being a stranger, introducing his name, something was wrong with this man. By the way he looked, he looked about in his twenties. He smelled bad, that was for sure. Wait, this would look bad.

The young female took another step back from him, almost four feet away. This man was a pervert or a drunk. Either way, Anika would need to get out of there. "Nice name. Gotta run." Anika began running in the other direction, away from him and the direction of her house. She wasn't allowed to do anything to him, so she took the sissy's way out. Man, if she was allowed to do the forbidden, she would have.

((Haha that sounds like fun though If it ever happened to me Id probably be embarressed/scared to death -is a wuss- xD ))

Kaori had realized her intentions before the girl had even started running. Preparing himself for the run, he jabbed his hand back into his pocket and kept on with the fake charade, stepping forward for every step backwards she took. "What? You dont want to introduce yourself?"

It seemed even before Kaori got the question out, she had no intention to hear it as after seeming to size him up the girl took off running and Kaori growled again. God damn girl just had to make things difficult and after he tried so hard to be nice!

He immediently took off after her, one step of his matching two of hers due to his longer legs. In a matter of a few seconds Kaori had caught up with her and grabbed her arm, yanking her back before taking out the towel. "I didnt want to do this brat." He muttured into her ear as he continued to grip her arm and placed the towel over her mouth and nose. "But you asked for it"

(( -pats your head.- Don't worry. You don't have to do it. But if you do, stay away from the food court. Those damn security guards just had to have those donuts at the moment! XD. ))

The girl shivered slightly as she heard his feet behind her. Usually, someone like that wouldn't chase after their target, but I guess this was different. Anika perked her speed up, though failing. At the moment she began to slow down, her arm was caught. A slight pain rummaged through her arm, before something covering her mouth.

This was it, Anika knew it. The pervert had poured some type of substance, maybe chloroform on to the towel, and had placed to her face, covering her nose and mouth. His voice, why was it so soothing? It wasn't right. Her mouth began to scream, though it was muffled and made it worse. Anika halted her breathing for a minute, finding it not working. A slight dazed confusion took over her, sending the ground below in a spin. Anika huffed a breath of carbon dioxide out of her mouth, before shutting her eyelids and falling into a unconscious state.

Damn, there was no denying that the girl was definietly a fighter as Kaori was forced to literally force the towel against her face instead of the gentle just holding there he had previously been doing. Either way. The first step was done now.

When the girl fell limp, he threw her over his shoulder carelessly and began to tread his way back to his apartment, not seeming to care if anyone saw him now. When Kaori finally got inside he tossed her onto the bed, pulling out some rope and immediently tying it around her chest and arms before taking smaller pieces and tying her wrists and ankles together. "That oughta hold you." Kaori said when he finally finished, standing up and wiping his hands on his shirt as if to get the feel of her skin off his. He didnt seem to care enough to set her in a comfortable position or make sure her clothes covered everything as he hastily began scribbling the ransom note. He had 5 minutes at most to get the note to her house before the girl woke up so he had to hurry.

Rushing out of the house he locked the door from the outside and placed a nearby porch chair under the knob before jumping over the edge instead of bothering running down all the stairs and took off at incredible demon-like speed towards her precious mansion to place the note in the mailbox before anyone could notice him.

The young girl opened her eyes, finding her head spinning. Having no idea where you were was never a good idea. Anika noticed the rope around her chest, and tried to wiggle her fingers. The dazed feeling began moving away. This was a time to use it, because she was in danger, right?

The young girl pushed herself and sat upright. Arms, legs, hands, chest, the normal body parts were tied up. She sighed softly. "Not very good workman ship.." Anika suddenly felt something in her hand. A piece of ice, sharp enough to cut through the rope. After a few seconds of shimmying and grunts, Anika got her hands and arms free. Next, was the legs.

When Anika was free, she clutched the ice. Might need it for later. Her eyes scanned the small apartment, before laying her pale green eyes on the door. Most likely, the door would be guarded or locked. Anika shook her head. To many action movies, she'd watched. The girl moved to the door, and tugged on the handle. Locked.

Anika shivered and took the ice pick in her hands. One swing. Another swing. Nothing. She hit the handle a few more times, nothing. She was trapped, useless in her escapes.

It was a hard task, trying to blend in with your surrondings at the same time moving quickly due to the lack of time. But somehow Kaori did it and managed to make his way back too without being noticed.

Jumping a few steps at a time Kaori reached the door in time to hear the banging from the other side and he sighed. Great he had to fight her again. Kicking the chair towards the metal stairs Kaori unlocked the door and thew it open in order to come face to face with the girl. "If I were you Id get back on that bed." He hissed at her, pushing her with one hand while closing the door with his other. "Unless you really want me to break some bones."

The sudden force startled her, forcing her to take a step back. To late, he had already grabbed her. He moved fast, no way he could be human. Anika shifted away from him, letting herself free from his grip. "I'm not getting back on that bed.." She growled at him, letting her hands trail behind her back.

A second later, she reviled her hands and held two large ice picks in her hands, the same sharp angles. "You can't make me..." She said, glaring at him with her pale eyes. "Demon..."

Kaori wouldve laughed, if he still remembered how, at her pitiful attempt to make a stand against him. the way she had hissed Demon at him made him wonder at which insult she was hiding under the word. Kaori stood still a moment longer, The hand that had closed the door, placed the key in the doorknob and a slight click gave signal to it being locked again.

"Put the toothpicks down and I wont harm you." Yet. Kaori spoke as if he truly did not mean the girl harm the lie evident only to him as he took two steps towards her. "Dont be stupid princess, and try to fight me when you know youll lose." He muttured lightly, one hand held out as if to calm her while the other did the opposite and reached for the sword on his back.

After all, If she wanted a fight who was he to deny her?

Anika swiftly studied her area, looking at the open spots. She took a few steps back as he approached, leaving her back near a window. Her ears perked up as he spoke once more, her mind catching one word in particular. "Princess?!" She said in an annoyed-high pitched tone. "I ought to break something in this house for that..." She muttered, glaring at him once more.

"But, since you're so keen in grabbing that sword, I don't think I'll lower my weapons.." She spoke quickly glaring and shifting her gaze between his eyes and the sword. "Before I lower my items, lower your weapon."

((Alright, I should be on still when you get back. Dont know what time my dad will feel like forcing me to get off xD))

Kaori's eyebrow twitched. Break? Besides the fact that there was practically nothing in the room that could be moved let alone broken the very thought of her ruining one of his few belongings made him even angrier. Control it. He reminded himself taking a few deep breaths as if to calm down though his brow still twitched incessently.

"Have it your way." He said, pushing the sword back into his sheath with more force then neccesary, the metallic twing giving him enough satisfaction to calm down again before standing in front of her impatiently. Obviously the girl was one of those magic users, as it was spring and Kaori knew his A/c did not work that well or fast. "Now, back on the bed." He growled taking a few menacing steps towards her, his knuckles cracking as he flexed them. Kaori may had put his weapon away but he was still a threatening sight to behold between his fists, muscles and tattoos.

Anika flinched a bit, glancing at his open spot. She could attack him, but that might end her life. Would she really do that? Anika growled slightly, shaking her head. "You can't kill me anyway..." She mutter, reviling a small smirk. "Whatever your twisted scheme is, you apparently need me in it. Kill me off, and you get nothing." She left one of the ice crystals disappear, leaving just one. "Plus, I won't give in that easily to your game..."

The young girl turned and swiftly launched the ice pick at the window, shattering the glass. Within a moment, Anika jumped out the window, and landing with a loud 'thunk' on the ground. She didn't even look back at the window, since she continued running. He was fast, but was he able to fit through such a small window?

Kaori smirked at her naiveness. Obviously the girl didnt realize the money was just supposed to be a bonus, that her life was really what he ached for. Kaori was just about to point this out when the girl broke his only god damn window and jumped out of it.

"Shit!" Kaori whirled around and jammed his key in the door, half unlocking it and half just plain out forcing the damn door open. Finally it gave in to his will and Kaori ran to the edge of the railing, his small eyes moving rapidly as he tried to locate her. When he did, Kaori lifted himself onto the railing and from there jumped almost to the other side of the road, drawing his sword as he flew. The girl had already gained a good distance from him and this time Kaori did not care to be seen as he forced his legs to move faster then he had ever done before.

"You asked for this princess." He called out to her as he quickly cut the distance between them by more then half.

The young girl continued to run, getting to her home was the best place to be. Problem was, that Anika wasn't the best in gym class. She tried to pick her speed up a little, but something caught her eye.

The shock the went through her body tingled at every corner as she saw him practically fly from the apartment complex. This was defiantly not her day. Anika threw another ice pick at him, knowing it would do no good. "I'm not a princess!" She let her tongue shout out, as she threw another ice crystal, only larger and sharper. 'Only another block...' She thought, as Anika went around a corner and burst out into the open street. Sidewalks were bad. The young girl shifted her hands a bit as she continued to run. Ice wouldn't work with him, but would fire?

Anika turned around, though still running backwards. She placed her hands together and a sudden ball of fire bounced back and forth in her palms. "Eat it!" She yelled at him and threw the large spinning ball of fire at him. That would slow him down. Anika smiled as she turned and ran towards her house.

"Only half a block to go!"

It was quite simple to avoid the ice pick as it came at Kaori, the smirk still on his otherwise blank face. He let the arm with the sword fall back so it wind pressure wouldnt hold him back as anger flashed in his eyes. If she got home, security around the damn girl would probably be increased and he'd have to find another way to capture her or someone else.

"A Princess has everything handed to her." Kaori called back, pulling the sword in front of him as she slowed down in order to turn around and face him. He couldnt help but let out an exasperated sigh as the girl remained in the middle of the street where everyone could see them. Obviously if he captured her he'd have to take her to another area completely.

Kaori's eyes widened as he noticed the flame in her hand. Yes there was definietly something messed up with this girl. Sword still in front of him, he held it across his front in order to either block it or hit it back at her. Instead it managed to miss the sword and grazed his shoulder. Kaori would have screamed out in pain if he wasnt still aware of his surrondings and also for the fact he had no breath to lose in a scream. Instead he clenched his teeth together and while his free hand gripped his shoulder began to overtake the girl. "Your going to pay for that princess"

The girl huffed and puffed as she slightly slowed down, though still running. Her head was still slightly dizzy, which didn't help at all. Anika picked her speed up, but it didn't work.

"I-I...don't have everything..." She tried to shout at him and only got half her words out. Anika turned around once more, and put her hands in the same position for another fireball. "Second...helping..." She panted, throwing the ball of fire at him once more. She watched as the fireball flew threw the air, but didn't see where it landed.

Anika fell onto her knees, using her hands to support her front side. Rest. That was what she needed. Anika panted softly as she glanced at the blurred male. She blinked a few times as she puffed out the carbon dioxide. Anika was dead, she knew it well.

This time Kaori was able to avoid the fire ball, the flames dissapating when he struck it with his sword. "Oh you dont?" He asked sarcastically as if not believing one word of it.

Kaori slowed down as the girl collapsed. Really she was making this too easy. Stopping in front of her, he reached down and lifted the girl by her thin neck. "Now if you dont mind coming with me quietly." He said before tossing the still barely conscience girl on his shoulder and hurrying out of the road, past the sidewalk and towards the trees to block him from view. "Your a pain in the ass you know that?"
