Emerald of the Lake

There is a silver lake with an emerald castle floating above it, the lake always glassy smooth. Among the locals it is considered a bad omen and a sign of danger if the water is ever disturbed, whether from within the depths of the lake itself or by anyone upon its surface. Legends says that a sacred monster, left over from the beginning of time dwells at the bottom of the lake, to disturb it would to bring doom upon yourself and all the lands. Radiating out from the lake is a meadow filled with lushe green grasses and wild flowers, the slowly turning winds of the meadow help to carry people safely down from the castle to the land below. Beyond the meadow is a dark dense foggy wood, known to be inhabitated by all hords of ferocious and terrible creatures, none have been to navigate the wood in over half a centurary so none of the people of the lake now know what resides beyond.

Bio: Nami has lived in the forest most of her life because the villagers were afraid of her and her powers. She’s a young witch who has water and nature abilities. She is a very quiet and shy person and doesn’t trust others easily. Lately she has been coming out of the forest more often and has caused stress to the villagers

ok so in an effort to get people to join i am going to post my first in character post, that way you guys can kind of see how the story is set up.

Brishen crept therough the forest quietly, her bare feet made hardly a crunch on the cold damp leaves of the forest floor. She was often used to hunting in these woods, but she had never been this deep into them before. This area was dangerous, haunted by beings and creatures not entirely of this world. As such her bow was in hand, an arrow notched ready to fire at an instant, her breathing was quiet and steady, it helped her to tune into all the motions around her. She crept forward, not knowing that she had now traveled so far into the forest that she had almost reached the Emerald of the Lake.

Asah was sitting in the trees, she held out her arm for her raven servant to land upon it. "What news," she whispered in an evil hiss. "A traveler, young and fair, she hails from the land beyond the forest." Asah giggled gleefully, "I knew that there was lands beyond these retched woods, now at least when i take over the kingdom i know there is more to conquer." she chuckled maliciously. The raven snapped at her ear, "My queen, we could use this girl to overthrow your sister, she is new to our lands, she will not know of the dangers of the lake, use her to wake the monster, use her to help you conquer the world..." Asah smiled and petted the Raven's head, "Indeed, my loyal pet, indeed...." she hissed. She slid from the trees and crept through the shadows, she came slong side the young maiden and slipped through the trees unseen, "Hello, my darling..."

Oh i forgot to mention, if you would like a pet, that is also acceptable, just a ref pic and a name is needed for pets, and any special notes if they have powers or something.

Noor followed her little pet fox ,Angel, as she walked through her side of the kingdom."Angel, where are you going" Noor asked. " I don't know" Angel answered in a cheerful voice as Noor picked her up. "Noor I'm bored" Angel said. "let's take a walk in the forest" Noor said " How bout we don't and say we did" Angel said quietly. "scardy cat"Noor said laughing "I'm a fox not a cat thank you very much" Angel said as Noor made her way towards the forest.

Brishen pulled her arrow taunt and spun around, she blinked in shock for a moment, she hadn't expected to see another person. "He-hello," she stuttered, "Where, where did you come from?" she asked nervously.

"The Emerald Kingdom dear child, dont be afraid, im human just like you," she giggled, only a hint of her evil tone evident in it.

"Oh, that place still exists? Wow, I'll have to tell my people when i get home, we thought you guys were all extinct," she smiled nervously.

Asah's eyebrow made a slight twitch "Indeed."

Steven was running but she was jumping tree to tree trying to find her destination....the emerald Kingdom...she stopped and stood on one of the branches looking where she is at now..."this place....it looks unfamiliar...but i feel like i know it".she told herself
As her white cat stopped next to her, on the branched and hopped onto her shoulder."you might want to be on foot from the path that leads you ahead"Celeste Warned Steven.

Brishen lowered her arrow, "So um, can I help you?" she asked rather confused as to why Asah had come up to her.

Asah smiled, "Yes dear, you can be my guest back to the kingdom, it's been so long since anyone has traveled into these woods we ourselves werent even sure that life still existed beyond. So come, ad tell me all about your lands." she gave an evil grin.

Steven jumped down from the tree branch onto the ground on her feet.and stood up and started walking as she could see that she was getting closer to her destination."are we almost there Celeste?"she asked the white Cat named Celeste Celeste nodded as she hopped off of Steven's shoulders and onto the dirted ground."yes...we're almost there".she said as they were finally reaching the kingdom

Brishen sighed, "well i guess i could do that," she made an odd smile and moved to Asah's side. "Lead the way," she said.

Asah smiled evilly, "Of course my dear," she lead her through the woods and into the meadow just bellow the castle.

Mayana giggled. She was having so much fun running on top of the water. It was such a pritty day well pritty in her eyes. She ran toward the shore and hopped onto the sand. turring around and kneeling down she began to call Kotka. "Kotka... Kotka... Come on! Were not saposed to be out here. Lets go!" she said rushing him. She turrned around and headed for the green edges of the forest and toward her fav' tree. It was an old climby tree that had grown in such a way that it was easy for both her and Kotka to climb.

Kotka grinned a big toothed puppy grin at Mayana. "Im comming! Im comming!" she said as mayana ran off toward the woods. She followed her jumping through the pritty flowers in bloom. She ran up the tree and hopped onto Mayana's lap and began licking her face. "I love you!" she said and grinned at her again.

As Noor got outside she heard her little sister Mayana talking to Kotka. She put Angel down and walked over to the tree they were talking in."Mayana what are you doing?" She asked as she sat down under the tree. Angel sat in Noors lap and cuddled with her. Noor hugged her little pet while looking towards the lake.

As steven and Celeste reached the kingdom she wondered if they're would be guards trying to kill her and Celeste.
"we're here....steven".Celeste told steven as they approuched the Kingdom

Asah's eyebrow twitched slightly at the sound of her sisters voice, "Oh Noor, how lovely to run into you," she gritted through her teeth.

Brishen looked over towards the tree and just stood there kind of awkwardly, "Um...hi," she gave a nervous smile.

Angel growled at Asah. "hi, who are you?" Noor asked the girl in a sweet voice. Angel headed for Asah but Noor picked her up before she could get to her. " Angel be nice" " You should be saying that to Asah" Angel replied still growling.

Brishen leaned on her bow, "Brishen, you can call me Brice though, if im not being to forward may i ask who you and your adorable frined is?" she smiled.

Asah rolled her eyes and made a face at Noor.

"I'm Noor and this little cutie is my pet Angel" Noor said smiling. She watched as Angel made her way to brice. "hi" She said looking up at her.

Brice smiled and leaned down, "Hello," she smiled and scratched behind her ears, "Id give you a treat but im afraid i was in the woods looking for food myself, so i dont have naything," she smiled but continued to pet her.

Asah looked at her sister, "Wheres the midget?"

"I don't know" Noor answered "and shes not a midget"
"It's ok, I'm not hungry anyway" Angel said

Brice smiled, "Guess that works out then huh?" she petted ehr head some more.

Asah rolled her eyes, "Well leave her then, we need to go show our guest around the castle," she smirked and turned on ehr heel

Brice looked at angel, "Is she always that bipolar?"

"Please come into our home Brice"Noor said as she followed Asah"she's not bipolar, shes just evil" Angel said glancing at Asah.

"Really she seemed kind of nice in the woods, all be it a bit creepy, but..." she giggled and followed the two sisters. "Wait, um how do we get all the way up there?" she pointed at the castle.

Mayana was going to awnser Noor but Asah walked up. the scary lady! she thought and hid further back into the tree's leafy protection dragging Kotka along with her. "shhhh! Kotka. Quiet" she wispered. She heard them talking to each other. She heard something about a guest. Ohhhh! I wanna meet them! Mabey they can teach me something new she said before they could walk to far away she jumped out and ran after her sisters. "Wait up Noor!" she called. She had pick up Kotka and Kotka was fussing and trying to get out of Mayana's arms. "Okay Kotka. Down you go" she said setting her pet down.

Kotka wiggled to get free. "I dont like being picked up." she said and then Mayana put her down. "thank you." she said and ran up to Mayana's sisters with Mayana.

As Noor heard her name she saw her little run towards them. "Where were you, nevermind" Noor said before she could answer "Mayana meet our guest Brice, Brice meet out little sister Mayana" She smilied at both of them

Brice smiled, "Nice to meet you Mayana," she smiled and held out her hand. "Where were you hiding?"

Mayana smilled back at the guest. "Nice to meet you to Brice. I was in my tree. The one Noor was at the base of." she said holdin her hands behind her and twirling back and forth. She grabed Brice's hand. "Its been a long time since I met anyone new. Could you teach me something cool?" she said kind of impulseivly almost like a little girl. "Sorry." she said and blushed knowing her older sister Asah would scold her for that."Im kind of impulsive. My family thinks I still act like a little girl just with more complex feelings and more responsibility." she said.

Kotka pawed at Mayana's leg telling her it would be okay.
