SO...I've been throwing this idea around in my head for a while, but unfortunately...for any number of reasons, my roleplays never last, be it someone getting writers' block, limited interest (often tied together when I'm the blocked one, which is why I don't do 1x1s...>.<;) or just about anything else that could kill a roleplay. I'm going to try and change my luck with this one; the idea is close enough to complete that I COULD start now, though I'll be refining it a bit in this thread if I can, and I'll be waiting until I have at least
five people, including myself.
Anyway, the story:
The first annual Shake Something Up concert was just a small town event, put on by a few local acts who had been deemed "too controversial" to ever make it. No one ever expected it to draws a particularly large crowd...so everyone was quite surprised when nearly five thousand people actually showed up. Nearly everyone in town went, whether out of support or curiosity...and many even invited friends or relatives from out of town. Everyone involved was absolutely overwhelmed by the turnout...
Including security.
As the third act reached the climax of their third song, the pleasant and exciting atmosphere was shattered by gunfire. The sound of shattering glass was heard, and everything went dark. Security personnel rushed to the scene with flashlights, to find that the lights had all been shot out...and people were hurt. It looked like no one had died YET...but one thing was for sure, it wasn't safe. And in the dark, it would be next to impossible to find the gunman...or men.
Depending on how well this goes, this MAY be a short thing that ends when everyone gets out...or it may continue on to the next days, if someone gets away. ;) I'll be puppetting the first gunman; he is a still nameless character of mine, and I may also have a few in there that will be used as NPCs. You can play just about anyone you want - an attacker, an audience member, one of the acts, someone staffing the event, whatever. However, I will make ot known that this is set in (a fictional location in) the real world - which mans NO magic, NO supernatural creatures, none of that. Sorry.
I'll be reserving the next four posts so it won't be a problem to convert this into the OOC thread if/when I start this. After that, feel free to post.
