Okay, everyone just take a deep breath and relax.

Sin, apparently Silver thought your complaints about the drawing were an invitation to help you improve upon it with some suggestions. A lot of people will do that; say they don't like something and be wanting some help on how to make it better. I'm not saying that's what you wanted, but that seems to be what Silver thought.

Silver, it would seem you misconstrued what Sin's purpose was in posting the picture and just came to the wrong conclusion. While this is understandable, please try to take more care about these things. Someone could get offended, and that seems to be the situation here. I too could use a little of that advice, since I came to the same conclusion.

Now I feel all parties could have done something better to prevent this situation, but as it's already said and done, there's really no point in dwelling. Feelings were not meant to be hurt and intentions were misinterpreted. I think the best to be done now is just learn from it and not let it spiral into a huge conflict. That's just my personal opinion.

*nods* and lol Kierys, my Co Chief of security is hilarious.. >.>.. xD either that or you're good at writing humorous stuff. I had to stifle myself from laughing because people are sleeping here in the house xD

Kierys 08-20-2009 07:50 AM

Yeah, I've played that character before and he's actually a lot of fun. I had to make him a tad more serious for this particular game and situation, but he'll lighten up a lot when things ease up a bit. But I have moments of good writing when I can be funny. Not often, but sometimes. *Winks*

Sinspiration 08-20-2009 07:53 AM

Well then I hope these moments occur often because that's good reading.. xD Sure cheered me up anyhew :3

Sin, I would like to say that I like both your drawings fairly well, and I have no intention of telling you what to improve. I had to learn how to draw on my own, and no one ever told me to change anything, so I don't feel like I possess the right to tell anyone else what to do. But I would like you all to take a look at something I drew.

Link
I drew this picture not even a year ago, and I still am not comfortable with the way it looks. First things first, he's too thin, and I'm not very good at drawing hands, so I try to keep them in simple positions. It took me a few Chibi drawings before I could draw him in a normal sized drawing, but I still feel as though I haven't accomplished what I wanted to.

Any artist, anywhere, who has ever drawn or painted anything, is never fully satisfied with their own work. Especially if you are a perfectionist with you artwork, then it never looks right to that one person. I, myself, am never satisfied with my artwork, but I always have to finish the picture before I try altering it, because I'm always afraid of messing up the picture.

I am not looking for anyone to critique my picture, and I would appreciate it if you would not. I don't need anyone telling me how it could be improved. It's been a whole year since I finished this picture, so there's not really anything I can do to change it at this point.

The point I am trying to get across is that no artist is ever fully satisfied with their own artwork. They always look back on it and find that there is one thing that bothers them about their work, no matter what the one thing is. Other people may find it decent and possibly, depending on the work, a masterpiece, but the artist may not see it that way.

And that is all I have to say on the matter.... Thank you.

Silverbeam 08-20-2009 03:08 PM

... 0.o....

you know critics are good things.....

*run's away and hides*

Martel Irasia 08-20-2009 03:34 PM

Certainly, I never said that critiquing was bad. It's fairly good, if the person asks for advice on how to make it better. Otherwise, it's best not to assume that the person wants you to comment on it.

Saiytanya 08-20-2009 03:38 PM

o.o....When the Leaders away.....

looks like some interesting things have happened.... how unfortunate.... *passes cookies around* Be happy ALL! Happiness is next to Godliness! or is that cleanliness. *shrugs* meh, who cares? Happiness!

Martel Irasia 08-20-2009 03:41 PM

Martel Irasia 08-20-2009 04:09 PM

SilverKnightHawk 08-20-2009 04:49 PM

Quick Question: Are the passengers waking up on there own or does a member of the staff have to wake them up?

Sinspiration 08-20-2009 05:00 PM

I do believe everyone is being systematically woken but the majority of the passengers are probably still snoozing while the security and engineers secure and fix up the place I believe.

Saiytanya 08-20-2009 05:01 PM

Technically they're supposed to wait until the staff wakes them, but some have jumped the gun.

SilverKnightHawk 08-20-2009 05:06 PM

I'll wait :) This rp is too fun to rush!

everydaymonster 08-20-2009 05:09 PM

D: I've been waiting, but I'm thinking about writing up the post anyways and just posting it when Kabel is woken up. >> I just don't know how I want the post to work. >>

Oh if anyone has xfire feel free to message me at everydaymonster. I believe I have my AIM list on mene also. ^^

Saiytanya 08-20-2009 05:30 PM

I got a JOB! They want me to start today! *runs off to make some money!*

SilverKnightHawk 08-20-2009 05:33 PM

YAY! Money is always good *nods head*

Sinspiration 08-20-2009 05:53 PM

Anyway.. This has been an unpleasant reminder of exactly why I dont like showing my stuff publicly. : /

SilverKnightHawk 08-20-2009 05:58 PM

Sin, I don't know if it brings back the unpleasant topic before mentioned, but your really good at drawing people. Whenever I try, they end up either looking like twigs, or amorphous blobs of goo. =3

Sinspiration 08-20-2009 06:15 PM

lol, if I showed you some of my older works you'd be surprised how awful they were... I've worked long and hard to get as good as I am, I really dont like it when people start taking a hammer to my hobby, even unintentionally.

I also didnt like the whole 'I've taken formal classes' thing Silverbeam mentioned. I've seen people who never took classes out-do those who have like its nothing. As it stands I'm proud to be an autodidact artist and I'll continue to improve on my own steam.

Edit: I mean if I'm producing stuff like -
This
All through teaching myself and only looking at tutorials for help, I think im doing damn well for myself. So I do get pretty sensitive about my work.

SilverKnightHawk 08-20-2009 06:22 PM

You're really good at drawing. So your a self taught artist?

Sinspiration 08-20-2009 06:25 PM

Since I was a kid, yup, I did try to take art classes but the most I got from them was old classic style painting and sculpting, that bored the crap outta me to no end. They didnt concentrate on anatomy as much as they should have and they sure as heck didnt teach this kinda artistry, I've always been fascinated with anime and manga buuut its not taught as a traditional art round here.

SilverKnightHawk 08-20-2009 06:33 PM

That stinks, but I'm glad you like anime, life is so much more fun with manga around.:)

Sinspiration 08-20-2009 06:35 PM

Indeed it is.
