Hihi. About 8 years ago I started a comic called MOONSHINE which involved fairies in a forest in a town called Moonshine. I created a few sketches but it never went farther then that due t lack of inspiration. I have typed up very roughly details entailing to the story (from what I can remember) with some details about their dwelling, lifestyle, hobbies, etc.

I would love very much to make this into an RP.

Please look over the information I have come up with and feel free to post questions/comments as that will help me perfect it as much as possible.

Before this actually starts I will be working on making a town map and a map for the surroundings of the town. I guess you could say the town is more of a village.. heh heh...

MOONSHINE

Forest
Fairies-more of a grungy type; not so light, holy, and illuminating
a ritual of a chosen fairy
chosen once every 100 years
chosen by poll/standing in community; not by birth rite

ritual- chosen fairy (male/female) would have to climb to the top of the redwood in the center of their town. would have to stay a-top (379 FEET) for 7 days and 7 nights praying to the moon god/dess (a fairy in their culture). Then he/she must jump from the tree and 'fly to the moon' to take their place as the new god/dess.
The last one to do this plummeted to their death 100 years ago. Many of the elders and adults, most dead now, believe the wrong one was chosen. Many of the younger fairies don't remember this event.

not small; the size of humans
have wings but generally small wings. not capable of flying too high or too long due to their size and body mass. THe only time any one is known to actually fly is during the ritual. It is said that fairy that is chosen is endowed with the god/dess power (a boon if you will)
clothing consists of woven cloth and found items
~dead animal hides=leather
~berries/plants=dye

living in..
live amongst red wood trees
info on red wood trees--
-15 feet wide
30feet in diameter
dirt removed from their town location
roots are used as roofs
smaller roots used and constructs to make doors/roofs
dry grass used to make roof water proof

Year...
medieval times
human contact limited.
one human spotted by guards maybe once every 150 years.
human caputerd in trap and knocked out in the dark, set free oppsite of where they were.
Never once did a human try to go back fearful of what would happen
Once a (170 years ago) gallant knight escaped from trap and killed 2 guards. the 3rd guard ran off into the woods; the knight followed. both were never seen again. Not many know full detail. Just that they were never seen again.
--not to say no human RPers allowed. Just don't expect to be warmly welcomed by a fairy whos age is 25+--

finances of Moonshine...
BARTER SYSTEM. Tis a small town of 85 inhabitants of all ages. Some have more to barter with then others so naturally some will be better off then others. Not sure how this will be decided when the RP actually begins..

Hobbies of the fairies...
drinking moonshine--duh
partaking in nightly festivities that consisted of drinking, music, dancing, and a feast of some sort
younger fairies enjoy what youngins generally enjoy-games, pranks, swimming, lounging around
Teen fairies will generally be more focused on rivalry, adventures, courtship, hunting, and hanging about. They will have more responsibilities
adults will be more focused on tending to shoppes, clothing making, pottery making, taking care of children, hunting, gathering resources and information, guiding teens and youngins
