Kay, so... I was thinking of starting a vocaloid RP. Preferably with mostly made up vocaloids. We'd be working under the assumption that they are real robots and such, not just a program. A few of the original vocaloids [be they v1 or v2] is perfectly fine. I'll personally have a made up vocaloid and I would like to personally reserve Luka Megurine as mine to play since I really like her XD;

I'd need people to roleplay as vocaloids, vocaloid owners, and those who will obtain a vocaloid at some point in the RP.

My idea is that vocaloid popularly became so big that it went beyond just the program and vocaloids began being produced as real singing robots. Not mass/duplicate produced by any means though. Though I don't want people playing the owner of their own vocaloid creatin I'd like to pretend that each vocaloid has been made to the preference of the one that orders it.

There would be... kind of like Vocaloid parties? Where owners get together and get their vocaloids to sing together or to show off and try to prove that their vocaloid is 'better' in some way, so there would be some competition between owners.

The catch about the vocaloids though is that they are not just robots and that the people who began creating them had found a way to take souls out of children [or people in general] and put them inside the vocaloid body. Immortilizing them and having the child act as a sort of... life source for the vocaloid.

The question is, will the owners find out about this? If they do will they try to do anything to stop it? As another twist we may even already have owners who are aware of this who maybe wanting to immortalize their child/ren by putting them inside of a vocaloid body, making them part of the scheme.

Aaah, I see! So the vocaloids, are they used for a program or a gaming site? Or something else? (Sorry, I wanna learn as much about them as I can xD)

They're a program that anyone can use to create songs basically. [provided they can afford one since the v2 vocaloids run for about 200 each.]Basically, each one has a word bank provided by an actual person. My favorite of the V2, Luka Megurine has both an English and Japanese voice bank [most of the Japanese vocaloids only have the Japanese voice bank] Professionals have also used vocaloids to make music as well [but plenty of your every day people have as well so it's interesting.] So they technically aren't 'used' for anything other than creating a vocal to go with music but I suppose it could be used in any way... if correct rights were given and such.

Just one thing... how would you go about making vocaloids into an RP? They sound really cool and stuff, but they're basically NPC's, right?

Well, my hope for the RP is that they would inherit the personality of the person or child whose soul they have inside of them. So they could do more than sing, they'd have real emotions and reactions to things. Making them sort of... humanoid like? I want for when their owner finds out [or admits to knowing depending on the character] about the whole human soul thing, I want them to have a reaction to that. I don't see them as empty, emotionless things.
