When he snagged her and ran to the room, he was wolf. He changed back to human upon entering the room because his ribs were broken and as a wolf with broken ribs, he made for an easy target, or that's his thinking at least, so he went human.

I had thought the plasma sword would've cut the collar off, just from being that near it, it did burn her flesh and it is a radiated plasma stuff of uber destruction.

There is no actual physical blade. It's all plasma. Don't ask me how they did it, ask the creators of Gundam Wing. Thats where the sword came from. There is no actual blade. What hits you, what burns you, is the blade. The green stuff is what the blade is.

It's a mixture of Heero Yuy's Wing Zero sword and Duo Maxwell's DeathSythe scythe. DeathScythe had the green bladed plasma scythe that Duo could make more powerful with a command, and Wing Zero had a blue energy sword. Combine the two, and you get a plasma sword with a power button and an intensity button.

And no, the plasma itself didn't touch the collar. Derrick didn't want to burn the chick's face off, he was hoping she'd just stop the attack and slink away. Give him time, he'll do a proper arc attack and aim for her neck at the same time.

its hard to do a good battle, but luckily im battling with you,not many people know what they're ddoing when they battle.... its hard to take them seriously

I just use the moves I know how to do in real life. *shrug* I wouldn't be able to do weird complex ninja-like moves, since I can't move like that, so I don't know how they move like that. Hence why their sword attacks are simple and easily blocked, if they were human. The only thing they could have to their advantage is allergies and plasma heat...

Hope your girl doesn't try to block the sword with her hands and arms...

edit: and i dont know any karate moves that i can do myself(working on it) but i have watched plenty of shows and the like where the explain the technique behind it as well as show the move... some of them look really hard... though plausible
