Last time I saw DBZ, it was like movie 5 or something... Whatever Million Power Warriors (Japanese Title. I don't know the English title) was... and that was last year some time... Though, I do have all the movies, they're just... subbed... With cruddy quality...

*tries not to sing the drunk Gohan song and fails*

Kry 04-01-2010 06:07 AM

DBZ is one of the few animes I like in English better than the original Japanese language. I don't really care fore most of the movies cause they were just a way to milk more money for the franchise and only two or three of the movies actually tie into the actual story lines.

DBGT is a disgrace to all DB and DBZ and that movie.. that live action movie. Oh Gods. Such a montrosity. So many much horribleness.

Poor poor Akira Toriyama.

They practically tied that man up and forced him to make DBGT. He wanted to stop after Frieza but decided okay. He'd keep going and end it with the Cell Saga. Buut no. Greedy company just had to force him to make GT. At least GT isn't as bad as that live action movie. -shudders and convulses-

Chryssta 04-01-2010 06:11 AM

He didn't do GT. He left before then. He said that if they wanted GT, they do it themselves.

I've blocked out seeing that damn movie... Gawd, one of my friends thought that would make a good 'movie night' thing... I'm so thrilled there was alcohol. It make the movie so much better...

Oh, and I can't reply to Stone tonight... I'm torn between Gaia and Mene, and I can't get in Kiyoshi's 'bow down and take it' attitude right now...

Kry 04-01-2010 06:33 AM

I dunno..I was pretty sure he did GT. -shrugs- I'll go look some stuff up about it later.

I regret just seeing previews for that movie. You're too addicted to Gaia. Must fully convert you to the mene side of the force. It's like the dark side, wherein it has cookies. -holds out cookies-

Chryssta 04-01-2010 06:38 AM

*steals cookie and runs back to Gaia*

But I can't leave Gaia. Gaia has my shop, and my guild and my best friend joined Gaia because of me, and is now a mod there... And I just made a quest thread too. ^_^ I'm one of those clingy things just dangling on the edges of Gaia. (I also dumped about $50 into Gaia in March...)

Kry 04-01-2010 06:51 AM

But gaia kinda sucks. I mean. you could still go back to it every now and again.

I'm just saying you should let mene and me monopolize most of your non-working time. -snickers a bit.- There'll be many more cookies if you dooo. -waves another cookie at you.-

Chryssta 04-01-2010 07:11 AM

*nibbling cookie to prolong it* But I was loyal to Gaia for many years... And 5 years is a long time... Hmm, maybe I shouldn't admit to not having a life for that long... >.>

I'm gonna be busy going places today and I only found this sliver of time to be able to post anything. I'm not sure if I'll be able to get on later afternoon/tonight but if I don't it'll be probably cause I'm still out :) I'll try to get on as soon as I get back but I make no promises. No need to wait for my turn to post if you guys are already having them leave, just say Kyla got on and is hanging on for dear life  She isn't really afraid of getting killed by the speed that they're going, more like she doesn't want to lose a leg or something. She puts being able to still do work first before much else, kind of the opposite of me actually

Chryssta 04-01-2010 04:16 PM

I'm on fore less than a minute here... Got a 'wedding' to attend in an hour or so here... it's in 'quotes' cuz its at the court house... Then there's food later on afterwards... Chinese food, ironically enough, given what we were talking about earlier... Crap, hope I have the cash for that...

diamond_archemedes 04-01-2010 11:12 PM

Ugh... Church... Almost makes me hate holy week...

Anyway if I don't post in a while that's because I'm in church and can't get on. Just to give you guys a heads-up.
I'll post now, but Maunday Thursday is in a little while so I might have to go soon.

MintyRey 04-01-2010 11:15 PM

Yup, that's Holy Week for you :) Busy busy. But all for a good cause, eh?

And so the fight for the seat begins, hehehe
Just kidding. If Mekia really wants it, Kyla'll ride with Mai. She doesn't really have much of a reason to want to ride with Johnny other than she 'might' be able to deal with his need for speef the second time around. But Mai won't be any different I suppose :XP She's missing her 1 day car already.

diamond_archemedes 04-02-2010 01:38 AM

Absolutely...

I think it would be fun to drag out the fight for a little bit, just so Mekia can finally tease someone. But if that's too OOC, than don't even worry about it. Let's just see how it goes...

Kry 04-02-2010 03:22 AM

o.O What the heck is a holy week?

diamond_archemedes 04-02-2010 04:49 PM

It's the last week of the church season of Lent. It starts with Palm Sunday, then ends on Easter, with Maunday Thursday and Good Friday in the middle. Normally the only non-Sunday service I'd go to would be Good Friday, but this year Mom's a pastor so there's little choice over the matter.

Kry 04-02-2010 05:00 PM

Interesting. None of the churches I've ever been had a holy week.

diamond_archemedes 04-02-2010 05:26 PM

I'm not sure about any of the others, but of the protestants that I know of I know that Assembly of God doesn't do holy week, or Lenten services, for that matter. Neither do Baptists. I'm not sure about Methodists, but from my understanding they're the same as Lutherans only without a set worship service. Lutheran's do worship Holy Week, along with Lenten services, which is basically another service every Wednesday night done in Lent and I think Advent. And then as far as I know Catholics do this too.

There are other Churches of the Christian Faith that I know of, but I don't know anything about their worshipping habits.

Kry 04-02-2010 05:31 PM

Ah. I see. Grrr. this egg hunt is making me nutty. I've found 12 so far.

diamond_archemedes 04-02-2010 05:48 PM

12?!?!?! I've only found 3. And I'm not sure how I managed that...

Kry 04-02-2010 05:56 PM

Awh. Just look around EVERYWHERE even in the games. -hugs- I'm sure you'll get them. Some of the clues are easy-ish but then again. Some clues are easy for others to figure out while harder for some to figure out.

diamond_archemedes 04-02-2010 06:01 PM

Games? As in the games forumn or the arcade??

This is weird yet fun... I think I'm following one clue, when really I've just completed another. I wish I could see which one's I've completed... Maybe there's a correlation that I'm missing...

Kry 04-02-2010 06:06 PM

The one's you've completed disappear from the clue list. and when I said games I meant the arcade-ish ones.

Chryssta 04-02-2010 06:24 PM

I found 4 eggs... mostly by accident...

I think I should have clarified earlier. The wedding was in front of the Justice of Peace, not an actual preacher or anything. No church ceremony. Just $80 at the county court house... My best friend and her (now) husband have been dating for more than 11 years, and they decided it was time enough, so they just eloped. They'll have the proper ceremony and reception this summer.

emiko_firecaster 04-03-2010 01:57 AM

ive found twelve... ... thanks for the tip on the games i needed that one

Chryssta 04-03-2010 02:51 AM

I now have 23/29 eggs. Mostly from Kry helping me out earlier.
