I work at a gas station, and then at a museum. I won't tell you which is which, or which one is out of town. :P -giggles- So you have to think about that one.

I can't see anyone working at a gas station that's out of town. So it must be the museum that's out of town and the gas station that's closer by.

No they don't. Thankfully though it's just down the street, and I can walk.

And as soon as I get a car I can exploit the 10 cent/gallon gas discount....

Ah deductive reasoning, how I luffles thee. I actually was a bit serious about selling you my Grand Am, but you don't want it now. It's the size of a 2 foot by 2 foot square cube. I doubt they left much to it...

I bet if you look around, you could find a cheap buy somewhere, like a $200 ride that'll get you where you need to go while you save for a better set of wheels... Make sure that if you buy from someone other than a dealer, ask (demand) what is wrong with it and be assertive about that. Make sure you don't get ripped off by a nice sounding guy that just doesn't care. ^_^

And yes, that's a story from the past creeping up and speaking it's lesson about buying from people that aren't actual car dealers. Make sure you know what's wrong, why they're selling it, and try to haggle the price lower. Often times it's a perfectly good car they just want to be rid of, but there are the lemons that people want to get rid of without saying that it's not worth having.

Fortunately, I have my mother to lean back on, and a group of friends that I can ask to check out the car I'm buying before I buy it, so I think I'm set. But then again... You can never be too careful...

Don't forget to snag a CarFaqs if you can... They really are useful to have on used cars.

Believe it or not, I'm really not dead. Just figured that since it's taking me forever to actually get online, it would be mean to make promises of posting if I can't actually post... Ya know? Besides, with the internet company tearing up all the phone lines in the county, no one that's still on dialup can get online easily anymore...

Interesting enough, they screwed up the lines in the county bad enough that Verizon is undoing everything the internet provider did and redoing it properly. So in a few weeks, we might be having faster internet. It'd still be dialup, but it might be DSL speed.

Until then, it's cruddy net service for awhile...

You poor thing... ALl that happened to me was I lost power for a week. Well, three days really. But it felt like a week. I never noticed before how crucial power is to everyday life...

Anyways I thought I'd let you guys know that I'm gonna be completely cut off from all electroncs for about a week starting Sunday. SO I won't be able to post during that time. SO if I suddenly dissapear, that's why.

I think Jesse McCartney is better than Justin Beiber ever will be. If you've played Kingdom Hearts 2, then you'll know Jesse McCartney as Roxas. He's also a singer that does hip hop style music far better than that 16 year brat from Canada... And if you've been following the news surrounding the brat, you'd know that the kid is a bit of a diva too. He's always complaining everything is not to his liking and that since he's Justin Beiber, he deserves to have everything perfect. It's sad really...

And now that I'm back, the first thing I do is break my computer... :gonk:

I didn't actually break it. I just did something funky to it so that the desktop dissapeared but somehow I can still use my apps... I'd say I accidentally shut down my OS, but that wouldn't explain how I can still use applications like Napster and Internet Explorer.

lol. right click on the desktop and go to the sortby menu. There should be a hide all icons button and if you've accidently hidden your icons that should bring it all back.

If that's not the problem let me know and I'll try to help you more.

I just rebooted the computer and now everything's back. But thanks for the idea. I'll deffinently try that next time. ^_^
