I am...so pissed off...How can art thieves be so hard headed. This guy has been uploading random images from Japan, so others get to see them. =/ He says it's ok! Because, he'll upload his own art later, and he hasn't taken any credit for them! I of course gave him a lecture. =w= Explaining how frustrating that kind of thing is...and how it's art theft, even if he doesn't give credit, because he never got freaking permission. D< Wanna know one of his freaking excuses? "OOoh~ I got the images from Japan? I don't think they use this site." Wtf? For one, yes, people from Japan use DA. And...vnwripgnwp That has nothing to do with anything! Who cares if they won't see it! It's art theft DAMMIT. -HeadDesk- Ohey and on a brighter note! I found the craziest Labyrinth fanfic. If you aren't bothered by a fair amount of sex, it's really interesting. I can't stop reading. It's years in the future, when Sarah is all grown up. She has become a phsychiatrist (totally spelt that wrong I'm sure). And she ends up seeing Jareth again, cuz he's meddling in some childs life, and everyone thinks the child is crazy. owo |
Some people just don't understand. One of the foreign exchange students that we had my senior year, the one from Thailand, he simply could not understand copyright law at all, no matter how many times our teacher tried to explain it.
Besides that, art thieves who simply refuse to listen are probably just doing it for either attention or because they think they are invincible against the law. If I see an art thief, I just report them, especially if others have already told them they are art thieves. Ugh. How could you? FanFiction.net? Lunaescence is way better! Mostly because a lot of people who write on FF.net need help with their grammar and punctuation or make... super... Mary-Sue OCs or characters majorly OOC... Most of the ones I have found on there, anyhow. Girls Next Door is a spin-off/side story of Roommates. I read all of GND first, I love it. XD Still reading Roommates, cause I spent 6 hours reading GND and decided I needed to do something more productive with my life for the day than sitting around reading comics. lol |
awww, I'm hurt XD I use fanfiction.net for my stories too. Though i will admit straight out, many of my character's end up mary-sues and I have no idea why...well actually I just think they do. People tell me they aren't but...eh. As for OOC...I have to agree, unless you're the original author one will never be able to get the character's right >.> at least give us fanfiction.net users some credit for at least trying?

Probably This story is based off the ogirinal. There are most certianly no mary sues. O.o I found it threw deviant art. The writing is simply awesome. What are those stories about. o.o @Aoi I've never really gone on fanfiction before. xD But if there are more stories like this labyrinth one, I'll be visiting often. |
mm...I don't know much about Labyrinth, no truthfully, I've never even heard of it, but every once in a while there's a worthwhile author/authoress. Not many though...but the ones I do find have such interesting stories XD though I'm not sure if you'd actually be interested in those...good luck finding some good writer's then ^^

I'll admit that I have read a few good ones on FF.net, and they are certainly better than ones one would usually find on Quizilla, but Luna is a site made specifically for quality fan-fics and you have a 50/50 chance of getting a quality one on FF.net. >.>
That, and I personally prefer Luna's search system and the fact that they actually have a search tag for reader-inserts. XD FF.net needs to upgrade their search engine so that its easier to find stories that I like. One thing I do like about FF.net is that they have a wider variety of categories. I can't find any stories for most Harvets Moon games, or any for Tamora Pierce books or a few TV shows such as Leverage on Luna. :? Cat, they're Labyrinth/Opera Ghost crossovers with a few other things added in. About Sarah and... Christine/ Jareth and... Eric becoming roommates in a more modern setting. I think I prefer GND better. XD They often refer to their respective stories. |

OMG. Yes. I refuse to go on Quizilla anymore. Their new system is absolutely horrible. Not to mention, all the good authors who were on there don't go on there anymore because Quizilla either deleted them or they are upset with the way quizzes/stories show up now. Oh, and then there is how they have a word limit for quizzes now, so those authors who used the quiz setting for their stories to make them a little more... like the reader can have some thoughts of their own? they lost a lot of their writing, cause the new system deleted the words.
If you don't like reader-insert so much, you might have a hard time finding stories that you'll like. Majority of the stories on Luna are reader-insert. Or used to be. I don't know what half of the cannon-based stories are anymore, so I don't read those. XD *Is slow with anime/manga/shows/movies.* |
lol I don't mind reader-inserts, I normally read OC stories anyway, and I've read a few reader inserts on another site. It was pretty cool, the coding that the owners did made it so that you could put in whatever names you wanted and those would be the names used in the story.
