The Official OOC Thread

This is where you go to discuss plot ideas, character biographies, and read the summary of the RP. This first post is just going to be the basic information about All My Mene Children.

All My Mene Children Information

All My Mene Children is set in the world of Menewsha. Menewsha is a bustling place with a huge population. Characters from the soap have a wide variety of jobs and personalities. For the sake of Yumeh, all NPCs (Mr. Mayor, Vicktoria Valentine, and such) will rarely make an appearance on the "show." As with most soap operas you see on television, AMMC is about romance, drama, and some action.

Rules

*Follow Menewsha's rules.
*Keep it PG-13. If there is going to be some sexing, I prefer to keep it behind the curtain. When a scene like that happens, please post "Commercial Break" for that and just continue on the post after the scene.
*Please be somewhat literate. I don't expect perfect grammar or spelling but I do want to be able to understand what is posted. No leet speak.

Detailed Appearance: She is tall, with curly auburn hair just past her shoulders and big green eyes. She has quite pale skin, with a few freckles on her face. She is not very curvy and has a very flat stomach. She has her ears and nose pierced. She normally wears skirts and tank tops. She has a scar just under her left ear after an car accident as a child and she has a tattoo on her lower back of a celtic design.
Mini Biography: Born as the only child of a wealthy business man and his wife, Cassidy has lived the life that most girls dream of. Not only was she blessed with good looks but whatever it was she wanted she got. She flew through school in a haze of parties and cheerleading while miraculously getting good grades. Guys often fell for her but she has never had a proper relationship, not one with meaning anyway. She left home at eighteen and got an apartment of her own, one her dad paid for of course. She didn't really know what she wanted to do, so after a few years working in a clothes shop she decided to take a college course in hairdressing and beauty.

She is of average weight and medium build with lightly tanned skin, she has the word “sinner” tattooed on her right wrist and the phrase “ I’m so sick of all these people but I’m scared to be alone and if this life has taught me anything I forgot it long ago” on her left arm.
Mini Biography: Jordyn comes from a Military background and is a 6th generation soldier, as a child and teenager growing up she never had much friends and was labelled a “Goth’ which she was, and was called a "freak" because her eyes are two different colours her father left her mother, and her mother committed suicide when she was five, she lived with her Aunt Endora before she ran away when she was 16, she was sent into a mental asylum went she was 12 because she claimed she “heard” voices. Jordyn is living in a flat provided by the Military. Her rank is Corporal.

Detailed Appearance: Lily has long flowing blonde hair and deep blue eyes. By maintaining the same strict diet her mother had her on as a child, she has stayed at the same weight of 120 pounds since the age of 18. There are no tattoos or skin blemishes and her looks put most fashion models to shame.
Mini Biography: As a child, her mother entered her into all beauty pageants held within 100 miles of them. Winning the vast majority of these caused a few problems with her parents' marriage and had Lily grow up to be spoiled. At the age of eight was when her father left Lily and her mother. This was the turning point for when Lily had decided that men were worthless. Growing up alone with her mother, Lily was taken advantage of by many of her mother's boyfriends. As soon as she became of legal age, she moved far away. Now, she runs the local cafe.

Character Name: Delilah Mendez
Age/ Gender: 25/Female
Detailed Appearance: Delilah, although her last name is spanish, is pale as the moon. She has large, green eyes and light brown hair. She's not skinny, but not really fat, you could call her curvy. She has a butterfly tattoo on her ankle, and a jagged scar on her wrist, that's usually hidden by a hemp bracelet littered with different types of charms: a heart, unicorn, and music note are two of her favorites. She wears what she can get, but it's usually jeans and a t-shirt or a sweatshirt if she's cold.
Mini Biography:At 18 Megumi was a kind, considerate girl. Everyone knew her in class as the hyper, go-getter who dreamed of being a singer. She had many friends, and was content with how her life was going. An abusive boyfriend and a broken condom later she's a disgrace to her parents and the talk of the town she lived at. She left the town, a broken and pregnant woman trying to earn ends meet to keep her and her unborn child from starving. That's when she met him; Amado Mendez. He accepted her and her child into his home. He was financially sound, a soldier in the army and not too much older than her. It didn't take long for her to fall in love and soon marry. Unfortunately, he died in the war and she's once again alone, with a 6 year old son(named Amano, after her love) and a broken heart. She works at a local cafe behind the counter.

(Amano is slightly tanner than Delilah, and unfortunately looks like her abusive ex more than she'd ever want him to. He has Delilah's hair, but his eyes are an icey blue, and he already has the same facial features. She loves him the same anyway)

Now a year on he is getting bored with the family life and has had a strain of one night stands with women from the bar behind his wife's back.

Jamies rank is Sergeant he likes to read the rules to Jordyn and acts superior towards her, Jame is a prankster and is good friends with Jordyn

His outfits consist of jeans and long sleeved shirts, most likely button down.
Mini Biography: When Damien was in High school, he already knew that he liked both genders. He had a girlfriend, but was seeing someone on the side, someone that he dearly loved, someone who happened to be his math teacher. He thought that their love was meant to be, and once he graduated they'd be together forever. Unfortunately, one day he came home early from a friends house to see his so-called true love on top of his mother. Things went downhill for him after that. He started to cut himself and take drugs while his mom and his once-lover continued to hang out. When he graduated, he quickly left the house and got a dorm in college, where he resides now. Ever since he got away from the house, his mood has picked up, at least enough to be sociable, but he promised himself that he'd never trust a human being again with his heart.

XD If this was Days of Our Lives, I'd totally join. :P

Well, we can use some of the plots of that show. All My Mene Children doesn't have to be anything like All My Children. I want it to be a hodge podge of all the soaps out there.

I'm getting right on making my characters. Yesterday's announcement of how Mene is doing kinda of put a damper on my mood to do anything productive.

I got one character up. Might just stick with that one for now since my keyboard is once again acting up. >.<; Nothing goes right for me lately.

I know. I offered some ideas, or expanded on some that I liked, but not many seemed interested in it.

I put a few ideas in too, but most of mine got missed. I may make a site feedback thread about some of it. Mene is my internet home and the very last thing I want would be for it to die :cry:

I imagine soap opera plots are pretty generic throughout the world aren't they? So it doesn't matter that I haven't seen All My Children or Days Of Our Lives?

I agree. This place is my home away from home. I have too many friends that I wouldn't be able to talk to otherwise if Mene died.

Same here. There are so many lovely people that I would end up losing contact with. And Mene is by far the best avatar site that I have been on so I wouldn't feel right going elsewhere. Though Mene won't give up without a fight *huggles Mene*

That's good because about the only soap I still watch is Eastenders, and Casualty if you count a hospital drama as one. :)

Eastenders... Did Jesse Spencer star on that? I haven't seen either but I used to watch House that Jesse stars on and I thought I read he was on a soap at one time.
