haha it's okay. I'm actually really glad I have a job now. A 4 month summer break without one is sooo boring. DX Of course, it would be great if the kids I babysit had the slightest bit of respect. They're such brats to me.

Kids tend to be like that. D: How disrespectful are they?

They won't listen to anything I say, even if it's as much as "It's lunch time!" And when I tell them to get off computer, they call the mom and ask for more time. They both lie like crazy, too, and have nasty attitudes. The younger one steals his dad's money and cheats on every game he plays and the older one has this nasttyyy look he gives me whenever I walk in the room. T_T It was sooo much easier when I could just tell kids they needed to do pushups or make their class 100x harder (I taught Tae Kwon Do for a short time..>.<) They hate me even more since I'm really strict about the rules--they're 7 and 11 and hate me because I don't let them eat sugar all day and curse. =/ When I watch the older one interact with his dad, too, I'm like "wtf?" He's always threatening him...

Oh well. 'Tis just the beginning of week 2. Eventually, I'm gonna get them outside where they have no phone access or other electronics. >D

Drag them by their ears to the park, and lock down the computers and stuff. Make sure they have no access to stuff. Do the parents like you enough so you can scold them if you need to?

I guess? The dad just tells me to beat them up...but I'm very against hitting other people's kids. I'm definitely dragging them to the park, though. I just seriously hate the whole "I don't like how you're running things so I'll just call my mom and disrupt her work a bajillion times and get her to go my way instead" attitude. I grew up with those kinds of kids, already. It should be okay, though. I'm just a temporary babysitter until they go on vacation and I go away to college. I'm sure if they're able to endure another 2 weeks of me, any other babysitter they get will seem like a god to them.

The way I see it, I've been very easy on them so far. I know I could full well pound some sense into them and just march in and turn off their games and go full drill sergeant on them--the kids I taught know full well how easily I could do that. I just prefer not to. BUT! If they're not gonna take the easy route and just be good little kids that have fun and play nice....:twisted: They think I'm evil already...they won't know what's comin' for them.

Drill sergant works- my aunt works at a daycare, and when they moved places, they estimated the times wrong, so she had to open "Camp Amy" for about two weeks to all the babies, and she knows that sometimes the only way to do it is to be meeeaaaan. I plan on babysitting sometime soon, and those kids'll probably think I'm the devil after a week. XD
