Yeah. It'd be nice if this thread was moving more. I'm definitely going to post on here once more before the event is over to get some last minute gold. There's still quite a few event commons I'd like to get before it's over.

Hm... I've only ever played a demo of a Castlevania so I don't know too much about it. Hopefully everyone's still interested in playing. It's kinda sad when people back down from things but I understand that people get busy with school and stuff. V_V

well, as I have said in my recruitment thread, all that's really needed is a basic knowledge of the plot behind Castlevania. A dark castle that usually appears once every 100 years, though that's not so much the case in the actual games, it tends to appear a lot more often than that. Anyway, the main point is for a 'hero', either a vampire slayer, or just a hero of some kind to go in and travel through the castle, defeating the monsters to make their way to the throne room to destroy Dracula, the Lord of the Night, and destroy the castle again. That's the plot, really. Generally the 'hero' is a member of the Belmont clan, descendents of Leon Belmont, the first of his clan to start hunting vampires.

Anyway, I need to see if the rest are still interested. They really seemed to like the idea before, so... currently, there is only one spot open for players. Akira was interested before, but she told me in person that she won't be able to get online for a while, let alone be able to join in, so I had to take her name off the list.

I played the trial of Castlevania Lords of Shadow I think. It was one of the two new games and the one that was more of a roleplaying game rather than a platformer. There was a woman he was trying to save or something I think but that's all I could draw from it. I guess the plot is easy enough but I'd rather let people who are more interested in the games play, especially if there aren't any slots. ^^; It'd still be nice to check out the tread if you make it though, just to see what it's all about anyway.

Do you remember who we're waiting on for the Yu Yu Hakusho one? That hasn't moved in forever. T_ T

I think we were waiting on a combination of Faiyth and Akira, but Akira's not able to get online, too much family stuff and real life stuff happening for her to get a chance to get online, even for a minute, so once again, she tossed control of her characters to me if we move, but I've been wanting to wait for Faiyth, since she's playing Yusuke and he needs to make a comment about Shadow's offer to help Genkai... >.>

Oh, yeah, that's where we ended off. I dunno, I find it hard to believe it hasn't died yet at the pace it's been going at. I mean, I don't want it to, I just wish it could go somewhere once in a while. T_ T

Yeah, I wish it could move along more as well, but if it makes you feel any better, the one I created only had me and Saravi in it, Faiyth added her character but was almost never around to post, so we had to wait up a lot. And after a while, I think she stopped posting there, said she was too far behind, and it hasn't moved in ages (months really) I was the last to post and Saravi never got back to it. >.<

I've just been getting annoyed because it seems like none of my roleplays are going anywhere. The Yu Yu Hakusho one is really slow. Then this girl I'm in a 1x1 with keeps posting in other threads but not mine. Another has agreed with me that we'll go at a slow pace, and another is on indefinite hiatus because the guy isn't coming back to Mene until the semester is over. Someone tried to start another 1x1 with me but wanted to be like a superman character with too many special qualities for my liking so I turned them down. T_ T

Well that's a real pain. So far I actually only have one 1x1 roleplay, and that's a Yu Yu based one with Saravi, my character is an OC who is actually supposed to be Kuronue reborn, but in a female body. Yeah, that's a fun twist. I kinda miss having a good one on one roleplay. I don't have any others, and any that I did have, my partners were either too slow, or I just didn't feel comfortable in that roleplay, and we'd end up quitting on each other. >.<

There's one 1x1 that I considered quitting because I really just don't like the other person's character but I think it's getting a little better so I'm going to stick it out. I just get annoyed when people post on other threads like... 10 times in a row but then don't come post on the one you're waiting on them for. If she keeps doing it I'm going to try to say something about it but I see she's posted in other places that she's having family issues so I don't want to bother her. But still, it's rude I feel. Ideally I'd like to post on a 1x1 at least once per day. The Kuronue 1x1 you mentioned sounds interesting, is it still going or did it kind of fade out too?

Well, it sort of drifted in the dust because I left Saravi waiting, that was when life started kicking my ass and I forgot all about it. I spent some time away from here, and when I came back on, well, I didn't even remember it was there. I only just posted there again, so I should let her know about that, but I thought it was an interesting idea. She's playing both Kurama and Hiei, so they're together, and my character is just sorta there...

Yeah, I think I looked at it once when you guys first started it but didn't know what was going on. I think she wanted to play Hiei and Kurama together again because she was doing that in Faiyth's RP until I took over Kurama. She mentioned afterward that she liked playing the two of them.

Yeah, she really does like playing both of them. She plays both of them in my Group Yu Yu Rp as well, but she also plays Yusuke there, so it's not just the two of them. But I still love the idea of Kuronue being reborn, especiall in a female body, I thought of so many comical reactions to it. She doesn't remember her past life as a demon, so when (s)he remembers, I can think of so many hilarious scenarios.

I liked Kuronue. I wish we could have seen more of him somehow. T_ T I think he was only mentioned in the movie right? I can't remember him being in the series at all... Wait, maybe, I think I do remember a few of Kurama's flashbacks having him in it actually. Did you ever see the movie? It's called Poltergeist.

Yeah, I've seen the movie, and that's the only one that really shows anything about him. And with what little information they give us, it's still not enough. Some people say he's a bat demon, and others say he's a Chimera, so which is it? He's got wings, but I say it's cooler if he's a Chimera, that makes him more unique. And they don't give you a good look at his personality, just the personality of that jerk who impersonated him and pissed off Kurama. I laugh at that demon's pitiful attempts and his death was unmistakably laughable as well... ^ ^

Yeah, definitely. I guess it's the mystery that makes him so unique though... Too bad we only got to see his impersonation like you said though. It's tough to imagine being Kurama. He's so old he must have so many interesting memories of things. And we only ever get to see the tip of the iceberg...

Yeah, well, I have to go for tonight. I really wish I still had a laptop.

I really do need to save up money to get myself a laptop... since my old one doesn't work anymore, I can only use the computer at home, and I'm subject to getting off when my mother wants to go to bed. Not cool, and not fun. I was awake for at least three more hours after I got off the computer. Time that would have been well spent here on Mene, and working on the setup for my Castlevania roleplay. If I don't hear from any of my people by the end of the weekend, I'll send out PMs to themasking if they're still interested. And then I can determine whether or not more slots will be open for people.

Yeah, I was going to suggest that you try to save up for one but didn't want to in case money was really tight for you. Computers are getting really quite cheap! The laptop I have right now is really great and I think it was only $500? But you can get smaller netbooks for cheaper yet and since they're smaller they're nice and portable.

I'll probably post on the OC thread for this roleplay this evening. Technically Friday is the weekend right? I'm not not sure if I'll have time to post on Saturday before the end of the event because I have to babysit earlier in the day.

lol, yeah, there's an Acer mini laptop in Walmart that costs about $287 or something like that. So I need to save up for it, but curse my bones, I keep spending my money on games and stuff. I don't mind buying groceries now and then, and helping mom with bills and stuff, and gas too, but damnit, I need to save money too. If we were living in a cheaper apartment, we'd have less room for our stuff, but we could get by a lot easier and I wouldn't need to help mom out so much, money wise. I'd still do chores, as I do now, but I wouldn't really NEED to help her pay for bills and food, and gas.

Yeah, I've been buying some groceries for my mom because she's injured and off of work. There isn't anything I need to save up for at the moment besides my student loan repayment bill that are starting this month. Do you have wifi in your apartment? If you didn't you'd probably have to add on a bit of money to what you're saving to go towards that as well... In the end it's mostly a willpower thing, saving money. You have to ask yourself, do I want this more? Or this? Try to think about that the next time you're looking at a game. ^^;

yeah, I'll definitely be thinking about that next time. From now on, any money I have that I'm not using will be geared towards saving for a laptop. Since the Acer is so cheap it shouldn't take too long to save up for it, and both my friend Eric and my counselor has said that Acer laptops are among the best. He's had his for a few years and he's online a lot and downloads a lot of stuff, but it's never given him any problems, so I find that to be really good. I REALLY need a laptop so I can stop being told to get off the computer at a certain time.

There are a lot of things that I still want to get though. Some old Castlevania games that I haven't played in a long time, one of which requires me to get a Nintedo64 in order to play it. I have the game and the system on a wishlist on Amazon.com so I can always go and check. The price for the system, used, is about $33 which is pretty good. Anyway, I'm kinda bored, but I'm still working on my setup. >.<

Yeah, my mom's desktop is an Acer and we haven't had any problems with it apart from the fact that no matter what you do the time is never correct. But that's probably more of a Windows problem.

There's a bunch of stuff I'd like too but I usually try to save my money. I have games that I haven't played yet so there's no sense buying new ones until I finish the other ones first. ^^; I haven't even been playing many lately anyway because I've been spending so much time on Mene. Besides, I'm going to throw all my extra money at paying back my loans faster than they want me to. It's better than letting interest accrue and make the total that I have to pay like two times more than what I borrowed. >.<

Anyway, I'm sorry but I'm going to have to leave you with your boredom. I have to take my mom to the chiropractor and probably won't be on again until later tonight. Good luck with the setup for you roleplay.
