War of the Subspecies OOC
 

This is my first time making one of these, but here it goes. :)

I'm putting up this thread so people who have an interest, or people in the roleplay can ask questions. I think it's a bit easier than having to pm me and what not. It's also here so we can discuss ideas for the story development and plotline. I may also put a poll or two up here when we need to make a vote or something similar.

Here are the profiles:

Affiliation: Human (at present)
Powers: Tali can copy powers, and physical characteristics like power and stamina, and retain them depending on how long she copies them. She also has an uncanny ability for sensing danger. It's one-hundred percent foolproof.
Weapons: She is trained in the use of knives, but also small firearms, such as pistols. On her person, she carries three knives and a .9 mm pistol with extra ammunition.
Bio: Tali has been genetically crafted by a genius human scientist as a failsafe against mutant aggression. Basically, she was specifically created to defeat any mutant if they went to war with the human people. To ensure she didn't turn on the humans, she was purposely given a growth defect that ensured she never grew any bigger than a six-year old physically. She was given to a lady who took on the role of her mother, though there was no relation between them. They grew quite close, despite the ruthless training she went through to gain control her powers, though she never got any practice copying another person's power.

Tali doesn't like how the mutants are treated, as she is one, but the scientists and humans who take care of her have raised her with the belief that it was how things had to be. She knows absolutely nothing about her origins, and revealing them to her is the major goal of the mutants. They hope that by doing so, they can convince her to come over to their side.
Personality: She is a kind soul, though she often comes off as ruthless to those who see only her skills. Loyalty runs through her veins, and she always puts a hundred and twenty percent behind everything she does. She absolutely loves her friends and family, and would do anything for any of them. It turns out she's also a tomboy, preferring to wear boy's clothing instead of the girly outfits her mom picks out for her.

Affiliation: Mutant
Powers: He has a manipulation over space, allowing him to create portals at will, and he can manipulate energy to fire off energy blasts.
Weapons: He possesses a large katana that he excels at using, as well as an AK-47.
Bio: Jacob was born to two of the stronger mutants from the past generation, but ironically, he is just as strong as them, not stronger. He quickly became the leader of a small faction of mutants living in abandoned warehouses in New York, and, after gaining the backing of more factions across the country, he led them to the U.N., where he demanded the use of a small island. They granted it to him, a bit uneasy at all the mutants outside.

By a unanimous decision, he was made the leader of the new mutant island, where he began building training centers and other facilities to accommodate mutants, as well as sending out recruiting parties to countries all over the world. He is against the war that appears to be brewing between the mutants and the humans, but doesn't see any other way for the humans to end their harsh treatment of mutants.
Personality: Jacob is a charismatic individual who sincerely cares about his people. They can see quite easily that he cares for them and for his nation through his drive to end hostilities between the mutants and humans. He prefers diplomacy to violence, but will do what needs to be done to keep his people from the cruel treatment the humans dish out on them.

That was when she met Jacob, who completely won her over, and convinced her, as well as the majority of the community to support him in his endeavor of securing a island for mutants. She's been with him ever since.
Personality: Dani is a very aggressive person, easily excitable no matter the situation. She is generally reclusive, though she does enjoy the company of her friends. She is also reknowned for using her powers for the benefits of others, often healing them, though it's hard for her to do so without the proper knowledge, and even boosting their abilities. All of this works together to make her an amiable person to pretty much everyone.

So, I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas for plot/storyline later on in the thread. :D I do plan on having Tali meet up with the Island Mutants, so do you guys have any ideas on how that could come about? I have a few, but I'd like to hear your input first. :)

Before I give my input for the poll, what are the different levels of mutants?

I don't know Gothika. I think you may be tied with Daemon. She is part devil after all. ;)

On another note, how's everyone liking the roleplay so far? Don't be afraid to add ideas! :) I'm more than willing to hear them!

To answer your question:
Delta is the weakest, they're the people who's limit is lighting candles and such.
Gamma is a little higher than that, they are able to fight well, but their power may be limited, sort of like a handicap. It'd be almost like Toad from X-men.
Beta is the average, and most plentiful level of mutant.
Alpha is upper-end. They could pretty much screw your day up pretty bad. Strong telekinesis would be a good example.
Omega is the highest you can go, so far. They are the mutants whose powers seem limitless. For example, the ability to control reality at will is Omega-level material.

Yes, that helps greatly. Also, what would you class my character as?

I'd say either Beta or low-Alpha. With practice, it could probably be raised up to a full Alpha, but it's iffy. It really depends on whether what you put in her power description is her limit or not. :D Hope it helped.

What do you mean about secondary Mutations? Like second powers in the profile?

Secondary mutations would be the appearance of new powers that branch off of your old powers, and possibly change your physical features. Like Beast from X-men for example. :)

Could it also be like Nightcrawler? I know way too much about this subject, but I know that because he is Mistique's son (amd so a 2nd gen mutant), and he's all blue and furry, and can teleport, as well as walk into any shadow and walk out of any other shasow.

Ahhh, alright. I had a feeling it was that, but I had to be sure before I voted. We should make a list with the characters. Filing them into categories. Just to help thing along.

The rest we'll have to vote on. They're a little less easy to place. :) Just put up a list of the mutants you think fit where, like so:

Alpha: Jacob, Katherine*, Bielle, Malcolm,
Beta: Alexander, Zenl, Ally, Matt, Viktoria, Holly*, Daemon*
Gamma: N/A
Delta: Kenji

*Can be higher or lower depending on potential. A known limitation would make them lower, while if they didn't have one, they'd be higher.*

I'd say that Daemon could be Alpha, if she learned how to control her fire better. As it is, she gets scared of it if she makes it too big, and that is what causes her major limitation. That, and the whole going out of control thing when she gets too angry or scared.
