I'm not sure, she is pretty unpredictable! No man likes to try to start a fight with her, she can hold her own! Oh, you have reinforced female stereotypes? Not anymore! Raine Sheila Irving just beat the hell out of you! Let that be the last time you say 'hit like a girl'!

She can deal with it, though. I can take a punch.

Oh, my little Vonafei (or Kaejai, if it's a boy) is about to become a mature dragon! I'm so sad...!

Shelby Palmer 08-13-2011 07:35 AM

As a thought, can Mayao bleed in that form? Or would nothing happen?

Dexter Morgan 08-13-2011 07:36 AM

Hm.... No, no blood. It's really very difficult to even leave a mark on the wax his doll form is made of, as well, because it's so strong.

Shelby Palmer 08-13-2011 07:38 AM

I see. Those facts were really from my own curiosity, but I'm sure it will be useful to know.

Dexter Morgan 08-13-2011 07:40 AM

Oh, it certainly will. I was thinking on it myself, since... Yes, it would be hard to figure out. I mean, it would feel to him as though it's skin, it's bendable and flexible like skin is, and the inside of the body seems more realistic like a human or his demon's body. Perhaps the layers of wax protects his skeletal structure and organ makeup?

Shelby Palmer 08-13-2011 07:45 AM

Hmmm... The inside of the doll's body could change because there's now a demon inhabiting the body. I think either of those could work, but keeping the doll's wax exterior is what's keeping the choker on him.

Dexter Morgan 08-13-2011 07:48 AM

Yes, it's true. The inside of the body, and perhaps some of the outside as well, would alter for the demon to be able to live as he did in his true form, but with a bit of a tougher skin.

Also, I really got Mayao worked up!

Shelby Palmer 08-13-2011 07:55 AM

Yeah you did! I don't know if you read my post, but since Alexis is on the outs with her brother and mother, she added that bit about them being allergic to pollen!

Dexter Morgan 08-13-2011 07:56 AM

I read that part, but coaxing along with Mayao's angry, straightforward personality, he decided to degrade her father and ignore that little comment completely. He will probably bring it up a little later, when things are settled.

Shelby Palmer 08-13-2011 08:06 AM

And I think we're heading to a more settled part. Because I couldn't think of anything else for them to say in the meeting. Mayao made it clear that he really couldn't do much, and he would cause them no harm. So Alexis took that as the end of the meeting, regardless of what the others thought. Though she's leaving the final decision up to Mayao.

Dexter Morgan 08-13-2011 08:07 AM

Certainly, I'm replying now. I always use a Word document to write replies, most of the time.

Shelby Palmer 08-13-2011 08:09 AM

I needed to be able to see the earlier posts, so I started using the quick reply so I could look up at it and make sure I didn't forget anything.

Dexter Morgan 08-13-2011 08:13 AM

I have the page halfed, and the document halfed as well so I can see one and the other easily. Although I have to scroll a bit more, yes, but it's right there! Almost done with mine, Mayao decided to get his talking all out right in this moment.

Shelby Palmer 08-13-2011 08:16 AM

OH! I'm excited! Now's a good time for him to speak to the group as a whole, too!

Dexter Morgan 08-13-2011 08:19 AM

Indeed he did speak to the group. Mainly to Randall, although it's concerning everyone else.

Shelby Palmer 08-13-2011 08:21 AM

Oh, Mayao, you make my character's attempts at being nice so hard!!! Now she has to run to catch up to a doll, which shouldn't be that hard, but still!

Dexter Morgan 08-13-2011 08:24 AM

Well, Mayao just woke up in the twenty-first century! He is in a female body, his powers are altered, and he was spoken to as though he was no more than a dog. Really, you would have reacted the same way, if not much more violent! Mayao is digging into the deep reserve of self control he has not to destroy Randall, despite wanting someone to at least like him, despite his being a demon as well.

Shelby Palmer 08-13-2011 08:32 AM

I undesrtand! It's just hard! But I'll get it and he can be as awful to the family as he wants or feels neccessary. And yes, he's got some control, doesn't he?
Now I've got the picture of a really angry doll in my head...

Dexter Morgan 08-13-2011 09:20 PM

Certainly. But the dignity of the demon runs deep. He only kills when necessary, not just because he wants to show others he can.
I've got an image of a doll having a temper tantrum in my mind. It's comical..

Shelby Palmer 08-13-2011 10:48 PM

Well, a dignified demon indeed! He's going to be an interesting character to interact with! A cut above other demons from the sound of it.
I'm still excited to draw that scene out, of him summoning the hummingbirds! And if I get a tablet and download SAI, I could make a strip of it! That would be funny!

Dexter Morgan 08-14-2011 01:40 AM

I love making my characters interesting and fun to interact with. A strong demon, but it's never gone to his head!
I'm just running it over in my head, and I have to wonder if it would be the same way I'm imagining it. I have the idea to include it in our RP, like small scenes drawn out in between pages or chapters, something like that. But that would call for a lot from you, so I'm quashing the idea. I can just add that one image to the end of the post that referred to it, and give random outside readers a nice thing to look at and laugh with!

Shelby Palmer 08-14-2011 05:38 AM

Ah, I don't mind. I'd just have to get the tablet... Actually, I have a friend who has one. Perhaps he'll let me borrow it again. It was his mothers and she never used it. So if I can get that and then get a better graphics card for my computer, I'd probably be able to do some pictures.

And I'm at a loss as to what should happen next...

Dexter Morgan 08-14-2011 05:43 AM

It would be nice, but not if you don't want to. I do love your drawings, though!

Hm.. Perhaps the family decided to make Mayao their maid, since he is now in a doll's body and wears a maid's outfit, and they might, slowly, become less icy toward one another. My thoughts, though!

Shelby Palmer 08-14-2011 05:50 AM

Ha! I pictured Mayao with a little feather duster!!

That's not a bad thought though... They'd need to make him look as natural in the household as possible. And having him interacting with the family would at least give them the time to see that he isn't a bloodthirsty, evil demon as they thought. So with that, I may have Alexis thrust a duster at him the next day. I would let him get a nights rest and get his barings before making him my maid, anyway.

Dexter Morgan 08-14-2011 05:55 AM

Heh, I just imagined him in the entryway scrubbing the floors and crying for being so angry he is beyond words.

But you are kinder than I am! I would have had him start immediately, to throw him into a bit more confusion. Still, a night's rest would be best for the demon.
