Well, it's mainly they look human and get a power but lose a sense type of thing but I suppose there can be some leway. Maybe some of them have odd eye and/or hair colors type of thing but that's it

Oh, I've seen that movie ^^ I don't remember too much of it (probably due to too much rum) but I understand the premise. Though might I suggest a more tangible enemy? Like the fog can infect/possess animals and/or people and warp them, for example. Just my opinion though, as I prefer to be able to fight what is attacking me ^^'
Hm.... can there be more than one with the same sense taken away? I have always wanted to make a blind character but I saw Pap-chan had mentioned that first and I wouldn't want to take it away from her if she wanted it. |
I would have enjoyed playing an arachnid... XD But I guess that's a bit out of the question, huh?

@kage: Lol honestly it's not that memorable of a movie, nor does it have really all that good characters or anything, but I liked the setting. And hmm.....How about both? since they can at least infect the dead corpses and warp then physically and mentally <.<
@Pandora: Yeah, sorry xD it is a semi covert team the people dont know about and it's not like they mixed in animal dna, they just messed with a few bits on the human side which harnessed the power of the brain and natural electrical impulses and such to produce odd results. things like odd hair and eye color in this modern day though could easily go unnoticed edit: the ghosts would still only be able to move in the fog without a body so inside buildings would be safe. |
Kage- I'm sure it'd be alright if your chara was blind too, just as long as the powers aren't the same.
Hmmm, maybe the fog was created by the scientists themselves to test out their experiments upon the isolated island? >< Blargh, I just reminded myself of Claymore. |

I haven't decided what XD. or what clues they'll be or anything >.< at least making mine ale to receive 'second sight' from her powers with the right combo I can use her to stear it in the right direction if clues don't work but I still need to know what i'm steering towards lol |

I say skip kol's part until your ready xD and just let things flow naturally. and yeah I think he'd fit as a spy type character.
And well I think i put taht badly. What i meant was they should be based around something that can half way be argued is somewhat connected to humans natural impulses. Humans naturally have electric impulses through their body so electric/lightening powers could be argued for example. xD. Mine can amplify one sense by making her brain shut down another one, until the amplified one becomes strong enough to be nearly a sixth sense or even release the mental energy in a physical manifestation of the energy(that takes giving up at least two and takes up giving more for it to be truly powerful). and I figure just the dead or inanimate objects since there's no soul in them to resist XD. |

Alright, so my would character having something like the ability to tap into electromagnetic pulses work? Everything, both animate and non gives off a electric signature, and he would be able to "see" everything around him, including what others cannot. This would also extend to spirits, as they often detected by reading electrical disturbances in the air via expensive gauge/meter. |

You know those infrared imaging things they use to see the different temperatures of things? Like if something's cold it's blue, and if something's hot it's red?? I could have a character who can see things like that ... Maybe. |

She really likes the concept and has been wanting to get back into proper roleplaying. She's a bit rusty but I think with a bit of practice she'll be able to keep up with us no problem ^^ edit: I thought we could only go off things humans are already capable of, or am I still misunderstanding? |
No Xd You didn't misunderstand xD. But well if she really wants the concept it's okay. She can always argue that it's manipulating her own body heat to produce it and moving the ability to feel heat through skin to the eyes and such. It just has to be at least thinly connected to it xd.

Hmm it'd also up the anty so to speak because without being able to feel it'd be easy for her to burn herself/even push out enough of her body heat to freeze to death easily .
