LYINGLY LIES!!!! Immuna go for a bit.
|
Okay, later Mimi!
|
Konban wa, Minna-san. How is everyone today?
|
Hi Kage!! I'm doing good, just got some books to read from the library. Most of them ones I've already read before, lol.
How are you doing? |
Ah, that reminds me, I have to finish the Drizzt book before we have to return it. I'm going much better today, though I'm still not exactly.... stable, if you know what I mean.
|
Yeah I do. *hug* Sorry for making you have to answer the same question twice, lol. That was an accident!
Still the same book as last time we talked about it? |
Hahah, it's alright.
I'm reading the second book of the Icewind Dale trilogy. I'm going to have to return it before I finish, I'm sure, but I want to at least finish the section I'm on. |
Can't you renew it? Or have you done that too many times already? You could always bring it in, return it, then take it out again right away. I've done that once or twice already.
I don't think I've read it yet ... No I haven't now that I try and remember. lol |
We've done it too many times already, but yes, I'm planning on returning it, then checking it back out after a day or two when we go back ^^ Though I may read Time Enough for Love first.
They are good, though kind of saddening because according to all the reviews and chat I've read about the books that came after them, the Icewind Dale and the Legend of Drizzt books are the only good ones. The characters change drastically afterwards, especially one of my favorites: Wulfgar. Apparently the author decided he had to fall into the dumb, war-hungry barbarian stereotype after all the wonderful character development he goes through in the Icewind Dale books that made him the exact opposite of it. ><' I'll still attempt to read the next trilogy, as I am sure a lot of what I read is exaggerated, but I'm much less enthusiastic about them now. :/ |
Hmm what should my girl 'Mira and kinda/sorta Kol's sister look like? >.>
|
Time Enough for Love? What is that about?
Hmm, bad reviews or not it's always best to make up your own opinion about books. Those reviewers might not have the same things they look for novel wise. >< |
Staria: Hm... why don't you give her a more worldly heritage? Most of us have characters that pretty much look European, so how about something other than that? Indonesian, perhaps?
Pap-chan: Time Enough for Love is an amazing book by Robert Heinlein that tells the life story of Lazarus Long, a human that was given a long life due to experimentation in a series of novellas. It has a lot of wonderful life lessons in it and is just as a whole an intriguing set of tales. And I know, which is why I'm still going to try and read them. |
I think I might just have to order that in, it sounds rather intriguing. Long, the character's got a fitting last name.
Oh, did you end up reading that pm I sent you Kage? I did mean to tell you more, I just wanted to know what you thought about that first section. |
Done with Beauty Pop! Onto Host Club!
|
Hmm It has been a while since I played anything not European *puts Indonesian into the search bar to get some pictures of indonisan women* O.O pretty <3. Maybe like this woman but with big blue-green, ocean colored eyes http://www.exposure-magz.com/wp-cont...eb_Cover-1.jpg . She looks all sexy and mature so it could be the opposite of what clueless 'Mira is XD.
edit: and host club? |
Kage- nvm about the pm I mean ..
mimi- I still need to read it! >< Well I got the first few chappies anyway. Ria- Pretty, and lol sounds like she'll be a fun character. Maybe just a little like Shay? |
Well maybe a little xD but not as shy. I'm thinking she'll be social awkward but more doesn't' know what to do awkward and doesn't always say the most socially acceptable and is generally in her own little world then painfully shy.
|
hehe It's gonna be interesting to see how things end up.
|
Oh Pap, you should! XD It was hard for me to stop reading it.
|
Yup xD. She's going to be a little quirky but ultimately sweet and easy going.
Hmm I'm debating on her weapons XD. I want her to have a small emergency knife in her boot but I'm not sure about her main weapon. Part of me wants to go with twin, small calibur, hand pistols since her power makes dual wielding actually possible and practical. (for those with human limitations trying to aim two pistols at the same time and such makes it so it's just not worth the hassle). the other part of me wants to give her a quirky trick umbrella with a sword inside like a trick cane but I'm not sure i can imagine her getting up close and personal with her enemy like that >.< |
O gosh, the trick sword sounds like Karlin's type of thing! The dual pistols would be cool.
Mimi- I just need to dig the link up, I'll read it tomorrow |
Lol yeah both options are cool is the problem i'm having lol. I think dual wield pistols are more her style and with her abilities she'd be one of the few who could accurately wield such weapons. but I'm not sure a forensic specilists should have two weapons even if it's just two of the standard issue side arms
|
Hm... I see no problem with her having two guns and with the fact that she loses more of her senses to enhance one, close combat is a bad idea so I'd say stick with firearms. Also, the picture is beautiful! You always make drop-dead gorgeous characters with personalities that don't match, lol.
|
Lol Not always XD.... sometimes their personalities match. >.>
|
Heheh, yea, the few and far-between in the crowd of beautiful, shy ones, lol.
