WHAT WE'VE GOT AT THE MOMENT:

• We were once in a fairy tale or fairytales. We were given a task. We failed to complete the task there so we were sent to a different realm/world with many levels/lands to complete it there. We cannot remember what the task was, or any memories from our fairytale life.
• We get sent to a random land to complete a task there. Each character will have there own smaller separate task in each world, but will require other's help as well. Once the smaller task is completed, they will gain a bit more of there memory, and get transported to another land.
• When each character has remembered everything of their previous life, that is when everyone gets to complete the main group task.
• I have two characters which one helps you to remember, whilst the other one is trying to stop you from remembering
• When you complete the task, you will be sent back to your original fairytale.

Anything else to add that I've missed?

Well I honestly am not feeling extremely creative right now because it's hotter then heck here, but I would love to hear if we are all from one story, or different stories.

No. Said fairy tales. Coming from one means that's there are very few characters id like to have a selection.

Making up our own fairy tales sounds fun. And if we do that, all our original characters could come from the same fairy tale and have their stories interrelate.
I don't really know how to explain it, but it would be like having a dozen or so main fairy tale characters in one giant fairy tale. Every individual story would connect to make the main story, which of course, would involve everyone. So every decision that's made effects everyone else.

Then again, using original fairy tales would be A LOT easier. It just seems too simple if we do that..

I'd say since some people want to use already main fairytale characters, that we let them use them, and then the ones that want to make up their own can make up their own :yes:
And then we figure out how they all connect XD

Well I just think a connection at childhood until late teens would make them tight knit even though they are in lands far far away. Maybe they get together every once in a while and chat and talk about the balance between the good and evil in their lands, ect? Progression of faritytales, children the princesses bear, ect.

Sorry if I am out of place, but are the characters aware that they are characters?
Like do they have self awareness of them being written by a writer?
That is kinda what it seems like from your wording so then maybe they were all written together but eventually put into their own stories kinda thing?

So the connection could be their creator?

That's kinda what I was saying. Derrrp der der. Only minus the writer thing. Fairytales are almost never by the same writer which makes that highly unlikely.interesting but still unlikely. Next.

I like any idea proposed that lets me make my own character - and a character with self awareness would be crazy fun to play mixed with a personality like that of "Sklyar" :yes:

But if someone wants to play an original it poses an issue dontcha think? I mean creating new fairytales is good with said new guys idea but what of those who just want the classics? Connection by writer would be ineffective to them. Makes the plot worthless to them as well

That kinda makes no sense for an original idea, it seems better to have original characters with original personality's, back storys....etc.

So? Id still want to base my character off Cinderella or sleeping beauty so if its all the same writer.... it just wont make sense to me. Especially since I have a love for classics. Then again I could just let you guys plan it out and I will just drop in and chat every now and again.
