Current direction we're looking in is inspired by this song (here are the lyrics).
The idea currently circling my mine is one of two star-crossed lovers from other worlds. They can't meet due to rules and laws. If they were, the world might fall apart. But their love for one another is too great so they defy the gods and meet up. Sure enough, the world starts to collapse. Bad things happen. Civilizations crumble. Time is all mixed up. Our two heroes, the Stargazers, must use their powers to travel time and space and restore the balance. Just how will they do this? Why, even they don't know....
I was wondering the same thing! I see a couple different options. They could use balloons to send the letters to the sky and "magically" the heavens pull them from their atmosphere and send them across the galaxy. Could use the internet (same chat site... omg, roleplay site, XD). Could do the communicating with aliens via radio waves and such and they both happen to connect. Or maybe they dream talk to one another. Like when they close their eyes, their minds somehow connect and they can talk. Maybe it's not dreaming, but daydreaming?

That they're daydreaming and the connect to each others minds. They could be "together" in their day dreams and finally they agree that they need to actually be together.
Oh shoot this is going to be so good!
Do we want one of them to be from earth? Or do we want to make up two worlds that they can be from. We can always make them visit Earth as they go around trying to sew up time. XD
And will these two have "other" powers, besides their ability to communicate via forms of dreaming?
Another great question! Ummm... maybe both? We can each throw out ideas for our character's world and the other can offer input and ask questions. Maybe we each think of 3 ideas for a world? I wouldn't want us to both make a world only to find out it's nearly identical to the other's. I've had that happen before. 'twas no fun. XD

I think I'm going to base my planet's ideas off these two images. I want to use the guy on the right as my character. ^_^
Hahahah that would probably end up happening! Ok so let's make up three ideas each and then we can help each other pick the best one and tweak it! I love that first picture! Simply stunning
A pretty depressing place it is here. There is very limited technologies. The light source is fire. Carts and wagons are all human (or animal) drawn. This place would be equivalent to living during the Great Depression. If you have money, you can get by perfectly. If you don't, you have to do what you can to survive. The planet is rather cold, never really getting warmer than 50F. The planet usually has snow for 9 months out of the 12. The 3 months of no snow are the months of farming and harvest.
The people of Optin are people of cold and ice, usually. That being said, these people have developed powers that allow them to not freeze to death. Ice powers, to be exact. The extent of the powers is dependent on luck, though. The majority of people only have the ability to not freeze to death. Others, the lucky few, can actually control and manipulate ice. Others can create wings and fly with their ice. And some have the ability to fly via the wind and create frost and ice. Depending on your lineage, you might be lucky enough to have the 'special' powers.
Nazzinivia
Think Nazi Germany. They have lights and other technologies, but these people specialize in fighting and warfare so they didn't spend time getting TVs and computers. They are a very rough group of people who don't rely on anything but the land around them. Native Americans crossed with Nazi soldier would be a great example for describing these people.
As far as powers goes, the Nazzins are like super soldiers. They have increased speed, strength, and endurance. At least one part of their body is replaced by robotics. Whether it is an eye, leg, arm, etc., it doesn't matter. This addition to the body gives them more abilities, which are completely related to the replaced limb. If an eye was replaced, vision would be enhanced, for example.
Nithlium
Very agricultural. A lot of farming and irrigation technologies. No tractors or anything, but they do have planes, ships, and wagons for trade purposes. They've also built reservoirs, damns, and hydrolysis-related technologies to help with the farming. They would have electricity, but no TV. Think Mennonite , but with advanced farming tools.
Regarding powers, these people can summon animal guardians and protectors. Each person can summon one animal. These animals, depending on the bond with their partner, can sometimes breathe fire, move the wind, or throw up shields. The possibilities are completely dependent on the bond. The stronger the bond, the stronger the summon's powers.
Alshmere
Ancient Rome would match this planet. There isn't much technology here, but the technology they do have came from other planets, though the people here tend to look down on modern advancements. They like being simple and rudimentary.
At first glance, one might call them human. But, upon further examination, a pair of wings would be discovered. Alshmerians are people of flight and feathers. They've abilities to use alongside flight, such as enhanced sight and endurance, both of which help keep these winged-people flying longer and farther.
Ok I don't have names for mine yet but here's some. ((BTW your mind amazes me lol)) I'm seriously brain dead...
World 1-
(Think of the new movie Oz)
This world is a place of magic, where most of it's inhabitants are witches or sorceresses. The world is filled with rolling green hills, black forests, castles and magical lands. Most things are powered by magic and the technology is not that advanced. Think cottages, farmers, old school shops. Some animals can talk and dolls can have life.
World 2-
This world is very dark. Old Victorian age type of goth. The sun never rises and things go bump in the night. This world is dangerous and the people have learned to survive it in. They're fighters and sneaky, they know how to adapt very well. Each is gifted with a power, usually dark in nature to help them survive. Control over shadows, a way to incapacitate someone with their minds. There are certain areas in this world that has sunshine and beautiful scenery, they're just hidden away and hard to find. They are also guarded by beasts.
That's all I got for now. I really like World 2! I might go with that one.

I like world 2 the best too! I love the idea of a dark and grungy place! And I have no idea what place I like more. XD I might have stolen the names/descriptions of the place from... Don't Let Your Hope Fade. I was feeling lazy. I tried to guess at powers. XD

Hahahaha well...I like the Nazz one and the first one! I think the Nazz one would be really interesting. But you know how much I love my ice. I dunno lol
To Earth they shall go! Which is why Earth is the most destroyed and needs to be fixed ASAP! And I suppose the disruption starts when they use their powers before the public. Then, BAM, the world starts to distort and twist and slowly things begin to go haywire. They fall unconscious for a few hours and when they come to, everything's in ruins.

Hahaha if I got into the city city I will. I might just stop at a herb shop or two. Maybe hit a bookstore and then come back after I eat something. I haven't decided yet! But I'll snap some pics!
