Planning and OOC thread.

So following on from the Fantasy/dystopia idea, I was thinking about some sort of league of elite magical soldiers doing the dirty work of the totallitarian dictator, and then maybe a group of them is sent into a more distant part of the empire as "peacekeepers" and governers, and see what happens from there?

I have a bitch of a character I would like to try using for this, if you don't mind.
I'd have to tweak her a bit to get her to work, but she's one of my oldest DnD characters. Cleric Aasimar. I would just make her a normal mage instead of a divine-touched being. Oh and she's crazy bigoted. So I think she would fit this idea of "elite soldier for dictator"
And I think I could always come up with extras as we need them. :3

I'm fine with one each for now unless you want to take on more right away. As things progress I will probably take more on.

Cool cool. I've got a necromancer (he uses blood magic, I've got all that planned out) who believes wholeheartedly that the emperor is in the right. I'll let you start/make the thread, if you'd like?

Sounds good. I'm using a Sun mage, uses light and heat. I'll go set up the RP. :3

She is not really that friendly. Cold, hard extierior, serious, kinda twisted in her techniques.
Has great predjudice against the unatural races (demons, abberations, weres, etc)
It takes a while to gain her trust, there aren't many she does trust. She's not quite sure about the Emperor's motives but she trusts the rebels even less.

Cool, I will either reply after work, or on my day off, depends how knackered I am when I get home in 12 hours...

Wears mail covered leather pants and jerkin to prevent being bitten by awry spells, thick leather gloves and boots are also necessary
Pale, drawn face, looks quite ill a lot of the time
Dark skinned
Strong, trained as a soldier, not just as a mage
Uses necromancy to keep order through fear

Sounds like they'll be quite the pair. I'd hate to be against them. o.O

This is one of my Dnd characters and my favorite spell combo with her was "hold person" + "heat metal" Gives you an idea of what she was like.

Yep. A pretty good idea. Jeez. And yeah, I'll probably reply tomorrow, I don't really get home from work until 10:30 at night, and then I just crash.

That's fine I have no problem with gaps between replies. I am guilty of that too.
I have a sinus infection and haven't been able to look at a screen/focus/not fall down for the past few days. It might be a while longer before I can post my reply.

sorry for the further delays. My eyes have been hurting me lately; swollen, sore, red, puffy, light sensitive etc etc.
