You can just skip over it like I did the dinner. Just say something along the lines of

"The shareholder got up on the stage, smooth talking, trying to explain the situation away as one they could not wait on for the safety of the military."

Then switch to how Ambrosia feels about it, or give your other military guy a chance to talk.
