Whoop I made it~

Sweet! Just so you know, I'm at work for the next 5 hours, if I become a little unresponsive that's why.

So what kind of a dynamic do we want for our characters?

What is your gender preference?

Any basic plot you have in mind?

I like to bounce ideas back and forth so if there's anything you don't like just let me know, I'll do the same for you ^_^

I am actually totally open for anything. Rivalries, or some form of a deep hatred /grudge, a long-time friendship, childhood friends, a broken love relationship, classmates, distant relatives etc.

I don't prefer any gender, though I often play males dunno why 0-0 You wanna do FxM, FxF or MxM? I am up for anything! I always like to try out new things~ Or wait, you said you only do straight pairings right?

Actually let's narrow the wide possibilities of the magical genre. You prefer a school kind of roleplay, adventure or perhaps rather limit the plot within a single area? And what kind of magical world should it be? The modern earth, future earth or a complete different universe?

I do only like straight pairings for romance. If we do like a rivalry that makes them become friends, I don't mind both characters being F or M. Same with relations and friendship, don't mind them being the same gender.

I've done a lot of RPs where the characters didn't know each other, I'd like our 2 characters to know each other in some way.

One idea I had is that they were both classmates, and they were assigned to work together by the guild/company/school for graduated magic users. They are assigned to do menial tasks and then work up to something epic asked by some leader.

Future earth with magic users? I've actually never RP'd anything like that. You should tell me more about this idea, it sounds intriguing ^_^

Agreed! They should have some sort of a relationship beforehand.

That they're from the same company/ guild sounds more attractive than from a school to me. And then about the menial tasks, like quests or the like perhaps? Then there goes with adventure where spontaneous imagination will lead us to some place. Actually it'd be kinda cool for some NPCs existing, or secondary characters that prevent the mains to reach the goal. Like, we play each two characters or so? Oh, and what's your preferred gender you roleplay?

Ahh about that. Well, I was thinking about somekind of steampunk going in with it, sci-fi, futuristic things, competing with magic. Like technology/ alchemy going against magical power or something, making magicians from day to day more and more powerless.

I definitely like the idea of an alternate universe, that has bits of magic, alchemy, and technology.

So the world used to have abundant amounts of magic. Now, researchers have discovered that magic is not an abundant source that comes from within us, but also comes from the world, and we've noticed the effects the magic depletion has had on the environment. Some people are much more wasteful while using magic, so instead the rulers have decided to mandate only the best of the best can use magic. Everyone else must turn to technology and alchemy. The magic users still incorporate technology and alchemy to keep the world balanced.

Maybe now that the technology is better and more efficient, many people believe there is no need for magic. Or people are revolting against the use of magic because it is taking what the environment needs to heal itself.

So there's my idea so far ^_^

Cool, I like the idea of them being rivals. Maybe the 2 characters went to school together, not knowing they applied for the same guild, and on introduction day (which is the day that we could start the RP on) they see each other. Later, the guild has decided that they should team up for the first couple months during missions and such.

I like playing a girl. My first side character will probably be a guy though.

What age range do you prefer our characters to be?

Wanna do like somekind of a rank system? That magicians are looked down upon, where on the other side the researchers, profs, technology centered jobs are highly praised and craved? Which on the other hand makes the guild one of the few still standing and doing business. Perhaps they're also in charge doing some dirty work for companies or the like? Of course, without the normal cirizen's knowledge who majority despised magicians. Making there roughly exist these two fractions.

I do like to add the government here though. How can they participate in this? Perhaps illegal weaponries are being created?

Honestly, there are so many possibilities. I think we should just start roleplaying from the point you suggested. I love surprises and it's more fun I personally think, or would you prefer to discuss it in more detail?

I feel like we have discussed enough about the plot and the background. Now we just need a name for the country our characters are in, the school they just graduated from, and what age for our characters.

I'll start seeing up the thread tonight or tomorrow. ^_^

Ahhh names. I really, really such at that haha. Only to get some decent character names I go search in google for baby names.

I am up for in the twenties if you don't have anything against it.

Also, I like to keep track of my NPC's that I make so that's why I have another section for them. I plan on adding Age, personality and background to my character's profile when I have the time, but I just wanted to fill in the space right now.

Sorry, things have been a little crazy the past couple days. On the 12th my friend had surgery, and I didn't plan on staying the night with her afterwards but it seemed like the right thing to do.

Also, I hung out with friends all of yesterday. And inbetween that I've been scrambling to get everything together for the thread I'm cohosting in the user run event forum.

You should come and hangout in some of the threads, a lot of them will have numerous prizes you can receive!

You don't survive in a swimsuit, you relax in one! xD

I guess so xD Though for me, swimsuits mean swimming, and swimming is a tiring sport =="
Relaxing is only when it's in a beach, other than that... a big scary man is standing beside the pool and orders you to do your laps. D=

Hahaha. I actually don't know how to swim... Well, ok, I learned a little a couple years ago, but I haven't mastered how to stay a float in one spot. I know how to swim on top of the water though xD

Really? Well then you can swim lol.
It's getting rarer for me to go swimming, simply because either I don't have much or I am simply lazy and wanna slack off doing nothing (and that happens often lol how lazy I am). And look when you try learning how to float on water...

You'll be mistaken as a dead person >=( With other words: Swimming isn't required to master! Not for someone (like me) who lives far away from water lol.

Haha, at least I can do that! Now being upright in the water is a whole different story!

So I'm finally catching up on all the replies I've been needing to make for the RPs I'm in. I'm working on our stuff now (well next, since I'm about to go to work). I'll probably make a short background and then start with a post.
