it could be that Xemnas has returned, now looking for the aspect of Hope, Love, and Dreams, since that's truly what the Heartless and the Nobodies are missing. To contain the essences of the 3 aspects, would be to made whole again.

Example: In KH1 where Sora turns into a Heartless and Kairi hugs him and he becomes Sora again. (IE, she's the aspect of Love, but you've got to have all 3 if you're already a Heartless / Nobody) [At least the way my Idea goes LOL ]

SHIELD thinks that there's a relic somewhere in the old Mayan Temples and we're sent to retrieve it.

At the temple, I find a secret room and that's where I meet Loki. (for RP / drama purposes, I'm the only one that can get inside the room, for whatever reason)

And it turns out that the relic isn't there, but I managed to find another clue to it's location, and we can go from there.
