Hmm o.o good question lol. I would say being half nightmare yes, but it would beat at a slower pace. It would not have to sustain him as much as a normal heart would. If it is ok, I want to go with Shiki type vampires. I do not know if you have seen Shiki though lol. Vampires can only be made naturally if they have been bitten by one, or by vampire parents. I would say that vampires have venom that they can control and choose to use to change someone or not. The venom would in turn change the blood and end up stopping the heart. Which helps to explain why they would need other blood, in order to re-energize their own. Stakes and such to the heart would be able to kill them, but wounds elsewhere on their bodies, drugs, alcohol, poisons and such would not be enough to fully kill them. They could be killed by being burned as well.

As for sunlight, I would not think it would kill them x.x if that is ok. As for Akio, being half Nightmare, he does have a heart but like I said, it does not have to beat as often to sustain him. He can be hurt more easily than a full blood vampire of course.

I will hatch up more of an idea on this and get back to you lol, to see if you approve owo. If you want to do one for her being an elf to go ahead. Or if you want to work on some other species one might see in this world to. So we know we are on the same page.

So long as he doesn't sparkle (except where bursting into flames is followed soon after), you're golden xD

As for her, she's basically an elf, so she has her flexibility, agility, sharp eyes, sharp ears, overall good senses, she can live a long long looong time, but that doesn't make her immortal, shot to the heart, the head, blood loss, she's pretty much as frail as any human.

Her powers as a Dreamwalker are not unique to elves, but by the standards of the elves she's from; being able to enter a person's dreams and affect them the way she does is considered a dark gift and is unwelcome.
