Alright I know I already have a RP thread, but I'm very very into Harry Potter.

I'm interested in creating this thread, but only if I know there are other peoples interested in joining it. I was thinking as the same with my pirates Thread there would be special rewards.

I was thinking either when rewards are given to member of certain Houses that they will be added to a fund and by the end of the "school year" the house that has the most points win the house cup and also will win the points (gold) and it will be distributed as evenly possible between the members of the house

Now for this to be done I will be the only one allowed to award points to members of a household. I will pm the Professor or person who who is going to award the points and tlel them how much to award a certain student.

Now points will not be given out so easily since this will be my own gold I will be giving out.

I will of course need at least four people to play Professors to each house and I'm just trying to figure out when this RP should start. I'm thinking when Harry first arrived at Hogwarts because I do not know what will happen int he last book and I do not want to start so far off into the story since I do not know how it will end.

I find having my own character is much more fun because I don't want to pretend I'd know how Harry or Hermoine would act in certain situations when I know that I have no idea

Special Abilities: Odette is very good at charms, potions, and divination. Although with divination its so easy >.> But the thing she is best at is potions. Even though she is not in his house, even Snape has to admit she is the best in his class. There were rumors she tried to make a love potion to use on one of the Weasley boys, but I'd like to see any of you prove it.
Pet: A Black and White cat, named Oreo.
Appearance: Odette is a very lovely looking young lady. She has natural grace and poise, except when it comes to flying. Her hair is a dark shade of black with two white streaks in her bangs, they turned white after she drank a failed potion and even the strongest hairdye won't change them back to their natural color. She has emerald green eyes that are shaped like almonds that give her a cat eye effect. Odette is of average height, 5'4", and is trim.
Bio/Personality: Odette grew up in a well off wizard family and knew it was only time before she got her letter to Hogwarts. Her mother has been teaching her all about charms ever since she could talk and her father would often read her potion books to pass the time. Being an only child, Odette is slightly spoiled and sometimes has difficulty thinking of others before herself. Odette spent much of her teenage years reading up on "the boy who lived" and was fascinated by this tale. What peaked her interest was that finally in her third year it was rumored he was going to be joining the school. It seemed this year was going to be a very interesting year for her and the rest of the Hogwarts.

She is all about making good grades, so you will often find her in the library. Both of her parents are muggles so she is just now finding out about the magic world.

Pet: She has a Raven named Trente, Who she has the uncanny ability to know exactly what Trente wants without saying a word.
Appearance: Kiara has long dark raven hair that falls to just above her but with Vibrant lavender eyes. When not in her black robes for school she tends to wear black anyways but usually intertwined with deep deep purple.
Bio/Personality: Kiara is the mysterious stranger to everyone. The student that most people tend to forget about. She learned at a young age never to let anyone get to close to her, but that does not mean she is unkind.

Kiara grew up with her Mother in a small cottage away from the people in the town. Her mother was a werewolf, and her father had abbandoned them when it was stated. However it was after Kiara was born that the mother was bitten so Kiara is just you're everyday human.

It came to be her responsibility to care for her mother. Take care of her when she was ill both before and after the full moon and to make sure that she was saftly locked away on the full moon.

When her letter to hogwarts arrived she almost refused to go but under the mothers insistance that she better her education she reluctantly agree to go to hogwarts. Though she still returns home once a month through floo powder to take care of her mother durning the full moon. Dumbledore knows of this.

Appearance: He's tall for fifteen years of age, he has raven black hair that flows down to his shoulders framing a slightly pale face with wide set eyes the color of Onyx, high cheek bones a clear and young complexion and mouth with a full lower lip and is easy to smile. He enjoys wearing black and crimson colored clothes though he doesn't mind green.
Bio/Personality: Jat is slightly possessesive and is known when he takes a liking to someone he'll cling to them hand and foot. His family are fairly rich and he's one of the few pure bloods left but unlike the others he doesn't hold a proud heir of being better than anyone else. He enjoys potions and DADA, and enjoys being a wizard.

Special Abilities: Aidan is quick-witted, but prefers drawing and doodling to debating. She is particularly gifted in Potions, finding it abnormally simple and having her own reasons for studying hard, but excels equally in Care of Magical Creatures.
Pet: Young albino rabbit, named Pinkie. [Irony from her name, ehh?]
Appearance: Aidan is a little short for her age, but not far from average. Her hair is a light, light red-- almost blonde-- and falls to the nape of her neck with the exception of 'ear-tails', or longer pieces of hair just behind or in front of her ears, although hers are tucked behind and fall to just past her shoulders. Long bangs shield her eyes most of the time. Oh, did I mention? She perma-dyed her bangs and the tips of her ear-tails bright, neon green without her mother's consent.
Her eyes are a bright, striking green and her face is mostly unblemished by freckles, only a few pale ones across the bridge of her nose, which she is very glad of considering her half-Irish heritage. She finds them mostly unattractive.
She is thin in build, looking very frail to most people, and her skin is mostly pale. She burns easily, and tries to keep out of the sun if at all possible, and enjoys sitting in the shade of a tree on warm, sunny days and drawing.
Bio/Personality: Aidan is a strange pre-teen girl-- one day she will be the happiest or most talkative girl in her class, and the next will be quiet and withdrawn. She is quick to make friends, but reserves the secret of her bi-polar disorder for only her closest companions. She has many medications, but feels compelled to think that she doesn't need them, and purposefully 'forgets' them quite often. Also, she feels that if she is found out at Hogwarts, she will be considered a freak and never, ever make friends.
She isn't an only child in her family, having one older brother who graduated from Hogwarts the year before she is due to start, and a younger sister who hasn't yet shown magical abilities. But this could be because she is only 4 years old. Her mother is pure-blood Irish, hence her Irish name, but her father is American. When she was only 2 years old, the family packed up and moved to London, because of her brother exhibiting magical qualities inherited from Aidan's mother's side of the family and the woman's insistence that he go to Hogwarts and nowhere else.
Aidan isn't an 'angsty' child; her family is well-off and she has both parents functioning just fine. Her disability came out of the blue and took the whole family by surprise. As of yet, there haven't been any suicide attempts or self-mutilation episodes, but the Hogwarts staff has been forewarned to keep an eye on her without her knowledge. She finds solace in both her Potions and Care of Magical Creatures classes, thinking that with her Potions skills, she could possibly formulate a cure for her disability, and she seems to drift away from herself when caring for another being besides herself, or sees that even non-humans have problems of their own. She especially loves to sneak Pinkie, her albino rabbit, around with her and pet him and hug him for comfort. She can also be found frequently doodling or writing poems in the leather-bound notebook that she carries with her at all times. Often, they are surprisingly dark, or strangely happy with a nearly un-noticeable, dark undertone.

Appearance: Clicky (looks better zoomed in) or if it takes too long to load she has long, badly brushed, golden blond hair and sharp, green eyes.
Bio/Personality: Mina is a shy and rather pretty (but scruffy looking) orphan. Her legal gardian is Serverus Snape. He home tutored her in making potions before she was selected for Hogwarts and introduced her to the Malfoys (I checked this was alright with Kale). She's not very spiteful yet idolises Draco. She doesn't get along very well with other girls and tends to favour the company of boys. Because of this, Mina's a bit of a tomboy and not afraid to get dirty.

House: Hufflepuff
Year: Third
Wand: Mahoghany, dragon heartstring
Special Abilities: One of the best in his year in Care of Magical Creatures, he also does well in Herbology and Charms. A good flier, Ross served as Hufflepuff's reserve keeper in his second year and has made the main team in his third.
Pet: Red Female Scops Owl named Rouge
Appearance: Already about 5'8'' and definitely still growing. He's of average build, neither skinny nor overweight, and doesn't ever seem to put on weight no matter what he eats. Ross has short, neatly trimmed light reddish brown hair and soft green eyes with a bit of gray in them. He also has a pale complexion that speaks of his heritage.
Bio/Personality: Always seems to be smiling. Ross is a particularly laid-back, though not slothful, and friendly young man. It takes a lot to stress him out. He's also quite loyal, and would do anything for his close friends. His family is of the working middle class variety, not particularly well off but not poor either. His mother is a muggle, his father is a wizard, and both of his older brothers have graduated from Hogwarts recently. He came to be a particularly good keeper as his two older brothers would always make him play the position while they acted as chasers. Ross dreams of playing for the Irish National Quidditch team and/or working with dragons when he leaves school, his parents think he's crazy to think about either of the two pursuits.

Special Abilities: Can grow plants at an alarming rate with little effort. Would like to focus her studies specifically around plants since this is where she is most comfortable and her knowledge of plants is quite vast.

Appearance: Cheyenne is about 5'7" since she hit a growth spurt early and seems to have topped out. She hasn't gotten taller in about two years. She has long legs and a very small waist. She has begun to blossom and this mortifies her. She has strawberry blond hair and green eyes and is considered pretty but not overly beautiful. Her skin is a creamy peach color and she surprisingly enough has no freckles at all.
She wears skirts that are a little above the knee and always has on her black jean jacket and black and white scarf, no matter what the weather. She uses the scarf to hide behind and considers it her shield against the world.
Bio/Personality: Cheyenne is a mudblood. Her parents are regular muggles and the way she can get plants, any plants, to grow made her stick out from the rest of the crowd. Being an only child she often sought refuge from her family in the woods near her house and would make up games and talk to herself, although she insists the woods were talking to her, specifically the trees. She is awkward in social situations and is very quiet most of the time. She does have a bit of a temper and she can be biting and cruel if provoked.

Would the proffessors manage to get the gold if they're in that house as well or just the people who play the students?

I believe it would be fair to give the proffessors a share to. I need of course at least four and they are going to be ones from the book. Like I said I just cannot decide where to start, but I really thinkt eh first year would be the best way to start. That way it can all be a fresh start for everyone.

I can't wait for the seventh and final book and since I don't know what happens I don't want to start off anywhere near that one. Plus I like playing a young kid. I'm usually a older person in RPs and sometimes its fun to just get back to your roots and be a kid again.

So we'll need four proffessors to begin with and I think that should be all we'll honestly need. I don't want to have like a bunch of proffessors and no one to pretend they are in class.

Also teachers are allowed to have a student character. I think this'll be more fun for people who chose to play teachers since teachers are not always necessaryily around and needed at times.

I'd like to play Severus Snape... as long as you're open to me giving him my own character twist.. cold to those on the outside and actually confusingly a bit caring but doesn't wish to show.. That's my portrayal of Sevvy anyways since JK Rowling doesn't play into his psychie.

Sounds great! And I agree with you I think deep down Severus is actually a bit caring on the inside. I just can't wait for it to tend and I read what you said in the other threads and I actually love how dark the books are getting, but then again I'm just an evil little woman lol

I do hate though how Jack basically got eatten in POTC >.> I know he's comming back, but I still think thats blows he got eatten by the damn thing/.

Side not: If you have a student/teacher characters or two student characters you are roleplaying this does not qualify you for more gold. Also if you wish to have multiples characters then you may, but they must be in the same house and you are limited to two. I do not want people having four charcters and one in each house just so they can guarntee themselves some gold :P

I will play Sevy and I'm glad you agree with me. I'm bad at writing up uncaring posts for the most part and it's part of my fanfic reasonings. I despised the sixth book though for many reasons but I agree that I love the fact the books are growing dark.. just never liked the sixth because of how Rowling handled it.. that and we'd probably hear little of poor Sevy who was forced to kill Dumbly...

I'm considering another char... don't want to play any that are in the book because then it'd be confusing of how to handle them depending on their relationship with Sevy in the books. Like I know you're limiting it to being in the same house.. but say I chose to play Harry and Sev.. I'd fall into my phase of trying to get them in a relationship.. >.> My obsession really... or if I play Malfoy the same thing on Malfoy's end.. so I shall continue to think on it.. I'll probably do so... I have a OC in mind that I'd use... who reminds me a lot of Sev just a bit more caring than him..

Made up characters are of course allowed :3 I actually prefer them, but if I can find someone willing to give it a go at playing one of the characters from the book then I figure why not let them try.

Yeah I agree it pains me when I read about Dumbledore and then I think about Severus because I think he really is a friend and was forced to do that because of the situation. Damn Malfoy >.>

I don't think Sev ever was a real friend to Dumbledore... but I know he wouldn't have wanted to do it himself but because of the situation it was either kill Dumbly or die himself. I don't blame him for doing it.. it just would have served better if Rowling didn't rush through everything.

I will make a student. He's one of my original Characters I had for a while, sorta looks like Sev.. or rather can be a younger version of Sev since we don't know what Sev looked like when he was younger and a student at Hogwarts... well don't know all that much other than the small glimpses Harry had gotten from the pensieve.

I went ahead and made the thread and I will link it on the first page in the first post.

I made only five classes available to really take because I figure its all we really need for now since alot of the RP won't be spent too much in the classrooms.

I may or may not have quidditch teams, but if I decide that will make it difficult because of course everyone will want their team to win.

One solution is placing all the teams players in a hat and drawing from them and whoever I draw first their team wins. Then you can discuss your win or loss with everyone else. I don't know of another way we could really settle this matter if we were to have quidditch.

Prof. Snape is Already taken and I would be Prof. McGonagall, but she is in a different house and I want to be treated just like the other players so I may play Albus Dumbledore if no one wishes to play him.

The story will begin when we have a good handful of people interested in playing and we will start on the Hogwarts Express. I will have us RP on there for at least a day or so. That will give us time to set up everything necessary that I think we should have established for when school actually begins.

Remeber we are starting from the first book so this is where he-who-must-not-be-named is posessing Prof. Quirrell and tries to steal the Sorcerer's Stone.

I'l looking for anyone interested to play some of the books characters, but as I stated before this is not necessary to have, but it would be interesting.

Gods I never thought I'd have the amount of people complementing me.. I just throw thinggs together... I haven't used my PMs this much at all and now everyone's PMing me about my avi and we end up talking about anything and everything. It's fun.

I've noticed that sometimes when an Avi is just tossed together it can often look better then one that is thought through. Its nice to plan things, but if you can just toss on whatever you got and see how it works together.


I have work in an hour and ahalf and I must be going in about half an hour. So far there is myself you and Crinkled that is interested and I may ahve people from my pirate RP thread interested as well. I'm a pirate at heart, but I dabble in the magical world every now and again. I like the idea of waving a wand and turning a rat into a goblet <333

*giggles* yeah.. I like pirates but.. I dabble more into the magical feild.. Though Jack is the hottest pirat out there. I just realized I hadn't replied to your comment before about how Jack shouldn't have been eaten.. that's totally true...
