Ugh, toothache/headache from hell, doc says nothing but tylenol because of the blood thinner meds I'm on, and my dentist appt isn't until Nov 1, so I'm going to be suffering a lot between now and then, unless this pain decides to recede on it's own, which it has done before so I'm praying I get lucky and it goes away again, hehe. Too much sleeping the last two days has my back killing me on top of everything else, but the only time I'm not in pain is when I'm asleep. |

Well, I had a reprieve from my toothache/headache today...they started up again this evening, but not as severe as they have been the past several days, so I'm glad about that at least, hehe. Let's get this RP rolling again, shall we? :P

I couldn't quite make out your question. I'm guessing by the words that I do know, that you are asking if any of us are from the Netherlands? I'm from the US, Pennsylvania. I know very little German, and what I do know, I learned either from my Grandparents, or from the German class I took with my mother when we were living overseas in Spain. |
That would be because it isn't German. ^^
(And I used a dialect so that some of it wouldn't translate with online translators. xD) It's Dutch, the language that is spoken in three countries, including The Netherlands and Belgium, where I come from. If I had been speaking Dutch, the question would have been 'Sprechen Sie Deutsch?' Do you know Spanish? :o I'm learning it, but I haven't gotten too far. >.< |
I should have learned more Spanish than I did when we lived in Spain, but I was at that age that I really didn't care if I learned it or not. I understand more Spanish than I speak.
I was only interested in learning German because my grandparent's were from Germany, and I thought it would be neat to learn their native language. I know they speak Dutch in the Netherlands, but the language is very similar to German, so I figured the translator would still have translated the words. Well, it did, but the English words it came up with I knew were too off the wall to be the correct translation for whatever it was you were asking, hehe. Any German I have Franz speaking, is literal translations from the online German/English dictionary I'm using, so they are most likely not in the correct sentence structure they should be, and they are unlikely to be grammatically correct. |
Well there are a lot of similarities between Dutch and German, but don't say that to someone Belgian/Dutch to their face, or they'll get all evil-eye on you. I personally think that German sucks. I hate it, it's an ugly language, and so forth. :D

Anyways, we are definitely moving tomorrow. The internet is already on over there, so it's just a matter of when we get the puters set back up, but knowing my daughter's boyfriend, it could end up being a day or so. Hopefully they decide to set them up tomorrow, though, as I'd really like to be here at least long enough to get the last event item :P |
