i thought of an interesting rp character, but i am afraid he might be too powerful. i have put appropriate weaknesses, but then, the weaknesses would only really be useful to someone who would have had reason to research him to learn them.

Name: Glitch
Powers: able to open gateways leading into the internet, the area inside appearing identical to the real world exept that data is readily available near computer terminals. he can reprogram data and create objects mentally from inside of this world.
Weakness: magnetic fields dependant on the strength can go from slowing him down to completely crashing his system, leaving his body defenceless
appearance: a pale skinned boy, appearing 14 years of age, he wears all white.
personality: passive, he does not take action unless required, about the only thing he does insist on is that his age is considerably greater than 14.


i havent gotten too detailed because his power may be just too much, since not everyone has an elecromagnet on hand >.>

To be honest, I'd probably never accept it myself xD, Rework it a little you'll probably find a better medium after a while.

Dunno. The powers and such are pretty poorly-explained, but it sounds interesting from what I can gather.

I would definitely say he needs more than the basics that you have already. It sounds very Lawnmower Man to me or possibly Matrix as Alegretto mentioned.

Would he be susceptible to viruses while in the internet world? Would changes in the way information is transferred across the internet affect him? Quite honestly there are a lot of possibilities here.

Well, i havent wanted to get /too/ detailed yet in case his power was simply too powerful to be plausable.

with viruses, since he's made up of code, it'd make sence for them to effect him, though its hard to precisely do that on my own, someone else would have to design viruses to send at him to be fair.

I have no idea what lawnmower man is.

another thought i had would be for part of his background would be that he has a flesh body, but 'he' is made of code, and is unstable due to that flesh does not hold data very well. causing images to float in his aura reflecting major things that are on his mind (not like if he thinks of a flower a flower is reflected, but like events and places that have significance to him will appear periodically)
