Basic Information:Set in a kingdom like medieval Europe, but with magic- possibly steam-punk as well. Basic plot is an Empire has taken over the kingdom by killing the previous monarches- the Kingdom is now run by a 'tyrannical' Duke. Surviving Royal is mustering forces to retake the Kingdom.

Sideplots 1: Duke's family is kept hostage by Emperor. The Emperor has guaranteed their safety if the Duke can utterly control the Kingdom, and kill off the last Royal.

Sideplot 2: The Royals [and a large part of the Kingdom's population] are not native to the Kingdom- in fact, they were refugees from centuries/millenia ago that fled from the fledgling Empire. The natives [called the Cescani] of the Kingdom have their own ideas about the future of the Kingdom, with an age-old prophecy coming to fruition about their return to power...

Preset Characters:

• Duke
  Royal
  Native (female) Oracle
  Native royal

Other possible roles involve Captains to foot-soldiers of either side of the rebellion and of the Natives, various spies, bounty-hunters, mercenaries.

Magic: Magic in the Kingdom consists of the elements: Fire, Earth, Water, Wind, Light and Dark. Sorceries come in 'Levels', with 1 being the lowest, and 4 the highest known. Spells can only be wielded if the user has sufficient Mana, or if they have an external source (mana given/taken from someone else, or a container such as a Philosopher's Stone (not related to eternal life)). Casting involves drawing runes in the air and calling the spell (specialized equipment can let you bypass runes, subvocalising can work).

I got rid of most of the clunk, hope more people will be interested.

Native Royal... Can they beee.... Japanese? >3 Samuraaaaaai! I'd so hit that if I'm allowed... xD

I hadn't decided- but I was thinking that the Citizens of the Kingdom are Caucasian (Except only Royals can have the red hair/purple eyes combo), and the natives being non-Caucasian. I guess the natives could be 'Asian'- but they're not like samurai, more like tribes/sects scattered in the wilderness/living in slums because they get treated so badly by Citizens. (Like, think the Trickster series by Tamora Pierce.)

Hmmm... Never seen the Trickster series, sorry xD But bounty hunter/mercenary is pretty open ended so I think I'll try to make a unique character... xD

What about 'revolution'? "__ Revolution", where we use the crest/animal of the royal family as the name?

I think it's a great idea! I'd definitely be interested in joining. I'm not a huge fan of presets, but in the right context they can work out quite nicely.

I guess it's more the idea of the character. I'm not dedicated enough to come up with all the characters [and if I did, I might as well write it as a story :P] But I thought it'd help the plot if we had certain characters existing instead of everyone being mercenaries or mages or something.

what do you mean by a native oracle? that is probably a really dumb question.
