Hello, I enjoy RPing on a simple level with some humor mixed in. I would love to find a smallish group to join. Perhaps a tavern type setting. Not too involved of a plot, fun, light.

I like fantasy, medieval, etc. Not into romance RPs.

I tried looking at the different RPs going on, but it's hard to find something to just "jump" into. :lol:

Or I don't mind creating one if someone would like to brainstorm with me.

I'd prefer some type of modern/modern-fantasy setting, but fantasy/medieval-fantasy is ok, too :]

Basically I am up for most anything, modern, medieval fantasy, ect. But I just want it to be not too complicated and fun! I have enough stuff in RL to think about. :lol:

So, I was thinking a hang out kind of spot. Like a tavern, night club, or something. I'll have to check the TOS about bars/alcohol..anyone know?

So if we did Fantasy it could be a Medieval tavern where regulars come and go. If we did a horror theme, it could be the same idea too, but a spot for monsters/vamps/undead etc and we could serve up some interesting things! The odd human could pop in too.
Or modern could work also.
This kind of idea also leaves it open for occasional players.

Those are just thoughts. I am up for suggestions!

I don't think it's against the TOS to have alcohol involved. I'm fairly sure I've seen my share of threads with alcoholic beverages.

A mansion would be interesting. Then we would have more to do than drink and do whatever it is people do at a tavern.

Iunno >> Something with room, an entertainment room, a ballroom or something, a library, an inn.. pretty much anything that we could use for a simple rp in combination so the rp doesn't die down too quickly.

I think modern-fantasy would be good :] I think it'd be easier to rp. We wouldn't have to think too hard on things like "is player1 an orc or an elf?" or "Are they a mage or a knight?"

I would love to join a modern Fantasy, I'm up for anything! I'm actually very bored, so Roleplaying would be very great for my mind, I'm up for anything, I'm kind of tired of romance!

ok, bear with me while I throw out some thoughts. Please add your ideas.

Setting: Modern fantasy, a Gothic mansion hotel and resort with an old and haunted feel. Open to regulars, which can be family, staff, regular guests, regular drop ins.

Without getting too complicated, a mansion should have several areas.

Areas/rooms and descriptions

- lounge and front desk, offices/conf rooms in behind, main entrance is here, desk for help/info or reservations. Offices for family/staff. Conference rooms available.

- dinning room, open to guests of the mansion as well as dinners who drop in.

- bar, open to guests of the mansion as well as drop ins.

- ball room, open to guests of the mansion for events and gatherings and can be reserved.

- spa/gym/pool

- rooms, for reserved overnight/vacationing guests.

- games room - billiards, darts, etc

- staff and family quarters

- patio/deck

- beach

Could I join in on the fun?
It's hard finding open, active roleplays.

Maybe the old mansion is supposedly haunted and a group of friends go to check it out, or a few inteerested people decide to stay and investigate.

Popcorn Gun's idea gave me an idea. How about a haunted mansion, and people can play both the ghosts/haunters/whatnot and the people who stay there :]

That has humorous possibilities. Can you expand on that bit? A simple outline- who lives in the mansion or what is it used for, etc.

Perhaps the mansion used to belong to a practicer of dark magicks, and that person attempted to summon something, or do something of equal dark purpose, but it backfired and kill him. The spell wasn't completed due to his death, but a handful of spirits still managed to get pulled through?

A victorian-gothic style mansion seems eerie enough to fit the genre..

Bedrooms, library, study, kitchen, etc. Things normally found in a mansion, I suppose.

In my mind I'm thinking of something horror/humor modern fantasy. Something with (a) spirit(s), vampire(s), zombie(s), etc. They could live in something of a harmony, perhaps; the living and the dead.

Well, you have a good start there.

I had another brainstorm for a simple RP. Rping our character's life in Menewsha.

Hrm...I must say, I like the idea of a haunted mansion. I tried playing a ghost/spirit in an rp of that sort once before. I found it to be quite humorous.

I know I'm just jumping in out of nowhere here, but I'm at a loss for finding a good rp lately, and the idea sounds fun. ^.^
