The Midnight Hour

The night is dark and there is nothing more than the soft breeze drifting through the trees that surround you. Not far off you can hear the sounds of the forest. All is peaceful. In the heat of the moment, you run off into the darkness; the unknown. There are many creatures that creep in the darkness. Some are not what they may seem. Even the small rabbit that darts from your path may become something else in the blink of an eye. This is the mystery of the Midnight hour; a time when nothing is truly certain.

This will be an RP that will outline the lives of the creatures that lurk in the night. Most are not bad at all and just want to keep their secret in a world where so many people are shunned from society on the little things that make them different from the majority.

This is an OOC thread for this new Role play to begin. Also we’ll be looking for other characters. At the moment our characters are all in one crazy mixed up pack of shifters/lycanthropes/were____. Any one is welcome to make a character. All we ask is that you follow a few rules/guidelines that we’ll list later in this thread. All new characters that are not created by us must be rp’ed into the pack if we choose to do so. This could change but we’ll stick with this for a while.

We both have the majority of the characters with 4 each. Some may be fazed out at later date and some are here to stay. People may recognize some of these characters from other RPs that we’ve moved them here or changed them a little bit to fit into the realm of this RP.

With that said I’ll have to tell you the bad news. We both have busy lives. Sometimes it may possibly be a couple days until we’re able to post. This is rare but it does happen. It’s the cruel truth of things and we’d be lying if we said anything other than this. If you don’t like it don’t bother to apply. Complain and we’ll ask you to leave.

Tera:

Race: Werewolf (gold/orange)
General Personality: Tera is the kind of person that must always have a plan and is very afraid of her feelings for other due to things in her past that have shown her that the ties she makes with people, no matter how strong, can be broken in an instant. She has a love for Mateus that she doesn't understand. If asked she'll respond she loves him as a brother. She won't even admit the love as something more to herself. When Tera becomes angry everyone better look out. There are few that she won't lash out at. When she attacks someone in anger it will most likely be with teeth and claws/fist. (Many have scars that match her bite marks...Lycan.
Other:Adapted from my character, Amaterasu, from Devil’s Playground and Changing Times.

Riley:
Appearance: Human form Wolf form
Gender:female
Age:22 yrs
Race:Half Werewolf and Half Vampire [white/gray wolf form no anthro due to vampire blood]
General Personality:Though Riley isn't the oldest of the little pack she is the one that acts as a mother figure. Though she's fighting a loosing battle she tries her hardest to keep the others from hurting herself too badly. When others threaten anyone she cares about they are in for a very rude awakening. She may be small but they will definitely regret whatever they had done.
One sad things is that because he her hybrid status she can never have children. Riley also had a twin brother that she had gotten separated from after they were both exiled from their pack.
Other: Riley has always been very pale because of her Vampire half. Sunscreen is this girl's friend.

Kade:

Keiyi:
Appearance: Keiyi's human formPale skin and light features with eyes that are always red no matter her form. It can be very unnerving and most will not look her in the eye for more than a few moments. On the back of her neck just under her hairline is a patch of white scales that trail down her spine to a point right between her shoulder blades. It's a side effect of being in her snake form too long and often.

Race:White Were-Cobra (has only human and snake form.)
General Personality:Keiyi can be considered a typical teenager. She is normally fun loving and loves to joke around and flirt shamelessly. There are times when can be very emotional as well. Beware if you really piss her off though because in her cobra form her venom is just as poisonous as the real thing. One of her favorite past times is dancing. She has been compared to a charmed snake while in a dance induced trance. While doing everyday things Keiyi often makes every movement look like a graceful dance as well.
Other: Because her other half is a cold blooded creature her body temp is always very low when compared to a normal humans'. She will often cuddle with others when she's feeling particularly chilly. It falls into her being very flirtatious.

MATEUS MOURA:
Appearance: Human Form Wolf Form Lycan Form
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Race: Werewolf
General Personality: He is madly in love with Tera and will show it at any chance he can get. He nows she loves him too but it still saddens him to hear her deny it, so he tries to remind her of it when he can. Because of his past he is afraid if he does not take the chances given to him to tell her he will loose them and in turn loose her. He is actually shy though and tends to keep to himself and Tera only. He does however feel a little comfier around the rest of the 'pack'. He also has a very bad temper, which shows the most when anyone comes near Tera.

LYCAN ALIHANDREW FALCON:
Appearance: Human Form Rabbit Form Lycan Form
His Lycan form is a wolf and his animal form is a rabbit. He is very short due to the Dwarf rabbit in him.

Age: 21
Race: Wererabbit(dwarf rabbit)/Werewolf
General Personality: He is a very 'affectionate' person, and enjoys showing it. He will flirt with anyone he likes girl or guy. It is just his personality. He knows some of them are off limit but because of his personality he still ends up flirting with them. He gets in trouble a lot. He can hold his own though. Thanks to his wolf part Lycan is very strong, although his looks would make you think differently.

CATANZI:
Appearance: Human Form Cat Form Lycan Form
Gender: Female
Age: 21
Race: Werecat
General Personality: She lives up to the sayings about blonds. She is very spacey and spazes out a lot. She enjoys chasing fluffy/dangling things...like tails. She thinks Lycan is cute and likes to flirt around with him, but at the same time she loves to chase his tail and tends to scare him off. She is Jermayan's little sister.

Race: Horse Shifter (has only human and horse form)

Xanthe:
Appearance: Human Form Bird Form
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Race: Bird Shifter (has only human and bird form)
General Personality: He is very mature and well learned. He is still very child like in he loves to be free though. It has a lot to do with him being a bird shifter too. He is valuable to the pack though as he is the perfect little spy for anyone and everyone, yes he often gets used! He is not one to run off and get in trouble though, in fact Lycan causes more trouble then him. Followed Chantel to the pack.

JESARAY:
Appearance: Human Form Lynx Form Lycan Form
Gender: Female
Age: 21
Race: Werelynx (Eurasian lynx)
General Personality: She is a little more out going then her brother in that she will talk to others but she refuses to get close to anyone because it was her ex boyfriend whom changed her. because of this fact she is skiddish around boys, including her own brother.
Defining traits/abilities: Does not look like her self in her animal form.
Other things/ notes: Is in her first year of the 'disease', but is further along then her brother. Was not bit by the same person as her brother. Is Jaspers twin sister

JASPER:
Appearance: Human Form Lynx Form Lycan Form
Gender: Male
Age: 21
Race: Werelynx (Canadian lynx)
General Personality: Likes to hide his true feelings from the others. The only real emotion he shows is his shyness toward others, even his own sister. He feels that he is no longer the same person he was and is scared to find out who he is now, so he hides away inside his self.
Defining traits/abilities: Does not look like his self in his animal form.
Other things/ notes: Is in his first year of the 'disease'. Was not bit by the same person as his sister. Is Jesarays twin brother

General Personality: Rose has only been a Lycan for a few months. After the trauma of being bitten the already shy girl, has retreated more into her shell. She is embarressed very easily and It constantly causes a problem for her because though she has started to be able to control it, she still transforms. Rose is generally a kind sweet person who likes to just be with friends. She is fighting to understand what is going on and tends to like to pretend like theres nothing wrong, that she really dosent at times turn into a big wolf or werewolf

Appearance:As a changeling, in his natural form, Xolin has a humanoid shape. His facial features are smoothed over, as if muted by biology. He normally wears dark clothing as is consistent w/ his people. Xolin's most developed character is a young human male about 5'10" in height. He sports middle length brown hair w/ brown eyes. He wears his traditional garb and travels by the name of Leonard.

General Personality:Xolin's attitude and demeanor can best be equated to the Robin Hood archetype. He knows right from wrong and knows that corruption runs deep everywhere. He doesn't fear the law by any means, preferring to help those who would normally be taken advantage of by the powerful. His one driving goal aside from helping the exploited is to perfect his art as a shapeshifter and reach past the limits of the humanoid form and into that of the animal kingdom.
Defining traits/abilities: As a changeling, Xolin has the ability to take on the appearnce of several different humanoids ranging in height from 3 1/2 feet clear up to 7 feet. Any more or less and Xolin runs the risk of straining his control and revealing his true nature as a shapeshifter.
Other things/ notes:Other things/notes:Xolin has training and applied practice in basic martial arts, though his form resembles something closer to a brawler. He is also an avid user of small blades. Lastly, he has a variety of non-combat skills, his highest being his knowledge of computers, picking pockets, and mechanical intuition.

She has bright blue eyes and wavy white hair the runs down about mid-back. She's fairly flat chested and if she has to wear clothes, she puts on a long brown shirt she changed into a dress.

General Personality: A very quiet and intelligent person, highly unconfrontational and comes off as almost motherly towards younger animals. She keeps to herself mostly, except for Christian.

Setting:
We seem to have forgotten that when we invite other people we sorta have to tell them about what exactly our rp is. We're sorry to those that are completely thrown for a loop with our rambunctious oddities. Hopefully this will clear some things up.

In short it's just how the non humans of the world would live in a human world. Edana's and my charcters are all living in an old hotel. Each has their own room that they selected by simply choosing a key from behind the reception desk. They all share the kitchens that are in the first floor. Use the elevator at your own risk. Though our little pack is kind of established you can bring your characters in if you'd like. Beware that some may not make you feel very welcome. You can chose to insinuate your characters in, in anyway you please. A pack that wants to take over their little home for their own, fellow employees, friends from outside the pack are all positions you're welcome to take. This is where other creatures like vampires and humans is you'd like to be come into our scenario.

If anyone doesn't really understand or you have an idea that you're not sure fits in our rp all you need to do is ask. We don't bite. That's just our more violent characters. Tera: I'm not violent. I'm just very irritable.

I was wandering, do i have to be a were-whatever? I was hoping I could be a changeling (race descended from dopplegangers and humans). They aren't particularly powerful like normal dopplegangers. I can pm you my characters profile if you want.

well u know, I feel the need to specify since a changeling can be a kind of doppleganger while others can be faeries. Just trying to avoid any confusion.
