The Story

mu·sic –noun
1.An art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony, and color.
2.The tones or sounds employed, occurring in single line (melody) or multiple lines (harmony), and sounded or to be sounded by one or more voices or instruments, or both.

Just a textbook definition, something that industries milk out of the economy by cranking out generic singers and computerized discs. At least for this band they won’t be lip-syncing to songs and doing things for the money. They’ll get famous their own way. Consisting of several odd members from all over the musical spectrum, the band: Lost in the Music is trying to make a name for their self.

Locally in the city of New York, Lost in the Music is just like any other successful garage band. They can only go up. Of course when climbing up the charts one needs to deal with the tabloids, celebrities, drugs, and their ever-growing liege of stalkers. After all we’ve seen it all: Band break ups, going solo, going “emo” cause people like it. Can these kids make it? Well, they need some members first off and a good manager doesn’t hurt either.

1.Please follow TOS.
2.No cybering. It goes against rules and this is a public forum. No one wants to read it..seriously
3.Romance is allowed, but not necessary.
4.No controlling another character
5.No Mary-Sues/Gary-Stus
6.You can play up to two characters
7.This is a Semi-lit to literate roleplay. I tolerate mistakes, but make sure that the post doesn't have any chatspeak or 1337. Save that for chats.
8.Do not use * or - for actions. Type this like a book and remember that it needs to be in third person point of view.
9.PM profiles to me or post them here. If you PM them have the subject "Rock My World" on there
10. Somewhere on your PM state that you have read the rules, same with posting profiles
11.If you play two characters, they can't be both in the band
12.Cussing is fine, but please do not bring out the F-bombs

Bio:As young as she could remember, Claire has always listened to music. She was in band in high school, but never really got into classical music. She used to play the saxophone and still can, but guitar is what she really wants to play. Straight out of high school, she and a few other friends formed a band. She wants to make it big
Personality: She lives and breathes music. Other than that though, she is also an avid lover of chocolate and all things shiny. She is sometimes sarcastic and might say before she thinks, but her witty comments usually stay in her head.
Appearance: She has straight, mid-back length black hair and eyes that are almost always covered by sun glasses. She stands at a short 5'3" and hates when you make fun of it. Claire has slightly tanned skin from her various jobs.
Other: She loves doing covers and almost always carries an mp3 player, unless she is playing

Name Marigold Maria Levin (She prefers to be called Mari, Marigold, or Maria)
Age 19
Occupation(outside of band): She has a part time job as a waitress at a restauarant. She also goes to college in the morning (work in the afternoon and band at night).
Instrument: Voice, she is the lead singer and also plays guitar sometimes. She also likes making up songs and contributes to their songs.
Bio:[at least a few sentences] She has loved music since she was a baby. Her parents never really understood it because she mostly loved hip hop, rock and rap songs and she was the best student in her grade. They didn’t like the idea of her being in a garage band and thought she was throwing away everything. They were happy that she was going to NYU since it’s a really good college and let her go to New York with her band as long as she was the best in her class.
Personality: She is very sweet and kind. She is also very caring and understanding. She is easy to like, charms everyone, and has no enemies so far. She is also great at getting the crowd excited and can make a party into a real party.
Appearance:[can be a detailed description or a picture] She has light golden-ish skin from living in California. She also has light orange/golden-ish hair. It contrasts very well with her skin. She has beautiful, calm, light green eyes and very light eyebrows and eyelashes. She likes to wear jeans and a polo shirt or a fun crazy shirt. When she is performing she likes to wear black jeans and a short/cut top (I may change this depdning on what genre of muysic they play). She also likes wearing long gloves that sometimes cover her hands or just her wrist or most of her arm when she is performing because she likes the effect it has on her outfit.

Bio: Having had a love for music since he could remember Sevaric would at first try anything that could make music. He wasn't very successful in most of his ventures. However one day he decided to try the bass and found that he came to like its sound and learned to play it well. When his friends (is hoping that the garage band started with a group of friends)) asked about starting a band he agreed right away. This would be his chance to do what he loved for others.[at least a few sentences]
Personality:He tends to keep to himself and seems to be discomforted when alot of people try to talk to him at once. He realizes as he is in a band it will happen and figures he needs to get over that anyways. He is kind and caring to those he meets unless he has reason to belive they are cruel.
Appearance:His skin is light toupe and his blonde hair is currently a buzz cut sorta style. about a 1/2 inch of hair sticking up. His light blue eyes tend to draw most people in. He stands at about 5' 6" and weighing about 135 lbs. He has a toned build.[can be a detailed description or a picture]

Bio:[at least a few sentences] When Samantha was 15 years old her brother died in a car crash. They were driving home from school when a drunk driver hit them. Samantha was only injured badly. Samantha hasnt been the same seen that day , and she diecided to join a band. Samantha is sometimes quiet cause she doesnt deel like talking but she goofs around alot.
Personality: Samantha is sometimes quiet , but she plays phranks on alot of people and she has a big sense of humor. She loves kids , but mainly cause sometimes she acts like one herself sometimes.
Appearance:[can be a detailed description or a picture] Samantha has long black , soft , hair and she is very tan. Her eye color is baby blue and its kinda like getting lost in a sea when you look down into them. She is very tall and is taller than most boys but sometimes they are taller than her. She is also very skinny and wears tomboy clothes most of the time , she doesnt wear dresses or skirts.

Bio:Trained in classical Piano, Violin, flute, Clarinet, and grew up with an acoustic guitar, she has broken from the 4.o GPA student mold and become less of an ass. She was always told that she was better than everone else when she was growing therefore a perfect kid with her nose up in the air. But her perfect world crashed all around her when her parents got a divorce at the age of 11. Even though she still get a 4.o in her classes now she's normal... kind of.
Personality:Down to earth, she knows how it feels to go though a bad situation and can relate to most people.

Bio: Despite being so young, Marcel is a premier at his management agency, due to his aggressiveness when it comes to getting his clients to the top of their genre. Because he was born and raised all over Europe, he has a lot of connections in the industry (it is speculated that he used to be in a band himself), and he exploits them at every given opportunity.
Personality: Easily annoyed and sometimes rude, though with a very mother-like, nurturing quality underneath. Outwardly narcissistic, driven, and a bit harsh. Secretly a really nice guy. Tends to curse in French when overly annoyed.
Appearance:Fair skin, light green eyes, and ever changing hair colors and styles. He cuts it often, though he generally tends to keep it on the short side, and his most used colors are white, green, and orange (orange actually being his natural hair color). Average height and build. Wears glasses.
