Roleplay Thread

The basic premise of the book is that the story follows a flock of kids that were the subjects of experiments which left them 98% human and 2% avian. That two percent had huge impact. This gave them both wings, speed, strength, and impeccable eyesight. Unfortunately, they were originally part of a secret facility called "School". The kids were basically lab rats and made to do experiments. There were also Erasers, human-wolf hybrids that acted as bodyguards and trackers. They made sure that no one knew about the human-avians.

In this story, the premise is pretty much the same in a lot of aspects. "There are others out there. Join the flock." In case you're wondering, yes this was based off of the site. Of course when there are mutants on the loose there will be Erasers there to catch these things, and white-coats ready to dissect them. How long can you last out there?

[Just So You Know]
-I've only read the first book and I'm going to try and read the rest as soon as possible, so if anything in the cannon contradicts this stuff PM me.
-Human-Avians also sometimes have supernatural powers, so then I will allow you to have a maximum of two, or one that you gain, either way.
-One thing is that I'm not going to allow things like :Controlling shadows, shooting fire, or balls of light and energy. Electricity however, is theoretically possible
-Your wings can be any color as long as it is physically possible
-If you are an Eraser, then keep in mind that even if you happen to be nice, there's still a bloodthirsty side to you
-You are not bulletproof in any way. You are also not Superman. Don't be flying over 123234234 miles per hour.
-You can hide your wings under a windbreaker or whatever, and keep in mind that your wingspan affects your flight
-Mutants have massive appetites as flying burns many calories
-School is a facility in California where they keep the mutants, Erasers, and any other genetic experiments
-Experiments are kept in cages
-The lifespan of an Eraser is about four years
-When experiments die, it is usually because their DNA ends up imploding
-Erasers as described as super models with angelic voices, until they morph

Bio:Her oldest memory was when she woke up, about five years old in a cage. Her parents are unknown, and she personally doesn't want to know them. From childhood until she escaped, she was used as a lab rat, with many different experiments done on her. She is very hostile towards scientists, and dogs because of this as well. Something interesting is that she still thinks of herself as partially human and tries to stay on land as much as possible. She ran away from the school at the age of ten and as been living elsewhere for years. One technique she uses is expanding her wings and hovering a bit to increase her running speed.
Power(s)[if a mutant]: She can run incredibly fast, being able to keep pace with Erasers

Personality: Roundabout is a slightly quirky person, since she sometimes zones out and thinks in a different way. Of course she doesn't really care what others will think. She is also sarcastic and argumentative. In terms of fighting she personally prefers fighting without weapons, but will if the other has guns. She finds that Erasers are a fun challenge, but would rather beat up a white-coat. She also has a tendency to walk or run instead of flying because she loves to play around and climb despite her wings. Around little kids she is more of a caring person, but won't hesitate to slap one if they are being annoying. She has a small concept of right and wrong, but can contort them to fit her needs as well. She is a social person, but will not get close to anyone she doesn't trust, and that's a lot of people. Her name "Roundabout" comes from how she likes to do flips and circles in the sky and on the ground

Bio: Ten years ago, just before Key turned five, she was taking a walk with her mother. Key had wandered off just out of sight of her mother, when a group of men, seemingly jumping out of nowhere, attacked her. Obviously, the first thing an almost-five-year-old is going to do when attacked is going to be to shout for help. Hearing her calls, Key's mother ran to help, but by the time she got there, Key was already gone.
The men, who had blindfolded Key, carried her for a long time. It seemed like months, though it may have only been a week. Finaly they set her down and took the blindfold off. What happened after that, Key doesn't remember anymore, just that one day she was slying on the floor of a big, dark, room. She had wings, her body was emitting a strange glow.
The next thing she remembers is waking up in a field. The glow that had surrounded her body was still there, but not as bright as it had been before. In the day-light, it was barely visible. The wings were also still there, so Key had decided to try them out, and found that she could use them with ease, but afterward was extremly tired and hungry.

Powers: Key can 'camouflage' her body, so that she will blend in with the background. Che can hear and see better than the nomal human, and can pick things up and move them through the air.
