That would be best, probably, and would add an interesting twist...The Guardians might start distrusting each, thinking that one among them has turned and taken young Kamui with them.

Arubeil would have killed two birds with one stone that way:
#1. He'd gain a powerful and deadly weapon (Kamui) that can't be turned on his minions.
#2. The Guardians would be divided, weakening them.


But who (or what) would force the Guardians to reunite with each other, and overcome their distrust of each other? That needs thinking too. Assuming we all want the good guys to win this battle, of course.

Yup, any creature that includes people. Once infected, drinking that water again when you lose your crystal won't take affect anymore. What exactly would separate them and what would bring them back?

The only problem is that as the shapeshifter he'd have to be smart enough about it to take on the appearance of say, one of the Guardians, only when he's sure that they're not going to show up to ruin his act. :D

The one who helps them back together would be Shigo, after all, Shigo does have a conscience which is rare for Undying Remnants.

Shigo sounds like he's part wolf, the way he's going on about Rion's scent on Izumu (is that even spelled right?). xD

It's Izumi, and no, Shigo's not part wolf though his senses are stronger than regular Terrans.
