*laughs* Well maybe so, but I prefer British humor to anything else. I much prefer it most of the time, american humor is obnoxious to me personally. Perhaps the world will never know?
|
You hear it everyday, so it probably is obnoxious to you. The one think I love about America is the word 'pants'. The first time I heard an American say it, I thought they meant underwear XD
|
Well true I guess but I still think from a fairly objective view that it's not based so much on intelligence and is more physical or potty humor. Shows from other countries, (though not always) are sometimes more intelligent.
|
Yeah, we tend to have potty humour and immaturity to spare over here. Its all fun though, well most of the time. It can get a little annoying at times.
|
Well in that potty humor vein of british stuff, I find it amusing simply because it's new and different-ish. But I have yet to find an intelligent, well written, american show besides pushing daisies. (Oh god I just remembered it comes back on soon....)
|
Its good up until a certain point, then it just gets annoying. I like shows like Family Guy and American Dad purely because the guys are so dumb its actually funny. Pushing daisies? Never heard of it. Dads Army is one of my favourite sitcoms I think, ever seen it?
|
As with a lot of things. *nods* Too much of a good thing... as the saying goes. I've never heard of Dad's army.
Pushing Daisies is so good though, it's filmed in such a way that it's almost surreal This guy can bring anything back to life by touching it, but if he doesnt touch it within 30 seconds (thus killing it again) something ELSE equivalent has to die. But he brought back the girl he loves and let her live, but they can never ever touch or she'll die. Then there are two other main characters and his dog (which he also cant touch for the same reason) and they have various strange adventures. |
Thats true. You've never heard of it? =O Its set during the second world war. A group of misfits from town form the home guard to protect their home from Hitler and have some funny adventures.
Well it sounds like an interesting programme, I'll have to look it up sometime xD |
Haha that sounds really fun! Maybe Ill see if I can find it.
Yeah the first season got messed up by the american writers strike I think (though it still ran for most of the season) and the second comes out soon. |
You should do ^.^
Ah, so many things got messed up due to the many writers strikes. I'll look out for it, things like that generally play on certain channels. |
^o^ Okaaaay.
Yeah it annoyed me actually. D: < I barely even watch tv at all, really only Top Gear, Doctor Who Futurama, some movies and maybe a few random things if Im really bored. |
Heh, there isn't much on tv anymore. Too much reality stuff.
Ooh! Another good programme to watch is Gladiators! I love that show! |
So true. ;o; So true.
Oh also never heard of it. xD;; |
=O |
*laughs* Like I said I dont watch very much tv. I guess Ill have to check out some photos of that one.... *isnt sure its worth the time to actually watch* :P
|
Well, no pressure from me. Though I think you should try and check out some pics sometime, some of the Gladiators from the old series were pretty cool - especially the Wolf man. |
*laughs* Sounds amusing. I was just laughing really hard the other night at Top Gear. (Do you know it?) They entered a racecar in a race but didnt have sponsors. So they made up sponsors. Peniston and Larsens buscuits. But when you open just the car doors you get:

I know Top Gear, who doesn't? Jeremy Clarkson is just.. the best xD He's polluting the planet and couldn't care less. Not to mention he admitted hitting a fox on live tv, and got told off for it XD |
Haha well just wanted to make sure. No one here knows it (duh) but it makes sense for you. OH nice. xDD I only recently got coerced into watching it because I was out of recorded doctor whos *o* I watched the one where they raced a boat, a bike, a car, and public transit across london. That was amusing.
Oh Im SURE they did it on purpose. Theres no way they didnt. Oh really? Go top gear guys. It was probab;y the mid southwest ^^; unfortunately where I live. It's full of these weird christians who harass everyone and try to force their religion on everyone then are all hypocritical about it. I mean I dont mind what people believe, that's cool. But PLEASE dont be dickwads about it. |
If you go onto the BBC website you can watch the latest episode of Doctor Who for free ^.^ Its what I do on a Sunday, since I work Saturdays and miss the episode when its on tv. Really? I don't remember seeing that one, though I haven't watched Top Gear in a very long time. Last episode I remember watching was the one where they tried to grow their own fuel. |
Ah ha well I record them from two different channels on my DVR. (The box that records live tv, its basically like tevo.) But I was just out. :3
Hahaha yeah who knows. Maybe it was a new one. Oh ho ho ho I see. :3 Yeah I bet people were like O_O;; Yeah that's pretty nice for you. |
Ah, cool. I think my parents have that downstairs. Lucky, least you get to watch them when you want to now. |
Haha yeah it's wonderful skipping ads and watching whatever whenever.
Ahhh yeah I dunno. The US is probably behind. I do <333 the stig. He's the funniest thing. I wouldn't doubt it... >.<;; some people are NUTS. Awwww ok. Sleep well. Again :3 |
Does sound fun ^.^ |
Haha yeah, everywhere is behind on shows from everywhere else. xD
Hmm yeah maybe he looks awful. My guess though is they keep him with the helmet to take away the "human" character portion. He's the tame race car driver, not a "person" on the show. Aww okay sleep well again. *laughs* |
