Woo! I'm back! ^^ And hopefully I'll be on for a while yet.
Obviously, I'm seeking a role-playing buddy { I accidentally abandoned my old ones because I'm a horrible slacker-type who doesn't deserve their awesomeness D: } of the Literate or 'Advanced' persuasion. If you can type out at least 5 or 6 sentences per post, I'll take you. :3 There are other guidelines, of course: Romance and Violence are almost always necessary to keep things interesting (nothing to gory or anything, obviously). Sorry, but I'm solely a hetero when it comes to couplings. I can play either male or female characters, though! Oh, and this will be over the Mene boards, m'kay? ^^ Here be the genres: Movies/Books/TV shows: - Phantom of the Opera - Master and Commander - Harry Potter (Marauders' Era, ONLY) - Avatar: The Last Airbender Vague: - Fantasy (Medieval) - Dragon-Rider type stuff (specifically xD) - Elementals Historic: - Ancient Egypt - Colonial (America) - Civil War - World War II Uh...feel free to ask about anything you don't see above. To save you trouble, though, I'll just tell you now: I DON'T DO Anime, Twilight, Vampires/Werewolves, or 'strange pairings'. I wouldn't mind doing a Phantom of the Opera RP, or a Fantasy RP. I usually do werewolves and vampires, but I can go with not doing them. It would be nice to have a change.

Good evening. I came across this and well, even if you are gone, I still would love to roleplay with you. From what you have listed, I would be interested in either Phantom of the Opera, a Fantasy RP, or even something from ancient Egypt.

So...Phantom of the Opera or Fantasy for both of you? I'd really like it if you would choose between the two yourself. That is why I posted the list, after all; I can't very well decide such things on my own. xD But to help you decide, I just want you to note: Firstly, in my usual Phantom of the Opera plays, I play Erik (more because my partners prefer to play female characters then anything else; I'm open to playing anyone, honestly ^^). And when I play Erik, he is very, VERY far from the Phantom in the 2004 movie. While Gerard Butler is an excellent actor in the other movies I've seen him in, he completely and utterly butchered Erik's role (in my humble opinion). My Erik is somewhat darker and quite a bit less "Please feel sorry for me because I'm ugly and alone and was abused as a child blahblahblahnehnehneh..' and quite a bit more--..well, psychotic. He often will talk to himself and in third person when upset and won't hesitate to lasso someone he doesn't like. :3 As far as Fantasy goes, I prefer Medieval. My choice of characters really depends on the plot, setting, gender of YOUR characters, etc. Take your pic. ^^ |
Well, those sound like good ideas for both. I personally would like to play a Phantom of the Opera roleplay, but if Sera wants it, then I will do fantasy. I'm up for almost anything.

Summer, I have no problem taking the Fantasy if you would like the Phantom of the Opera. While I truly love story, I can already tell you would enjoy it quite a bit.
So, just as a note, I typically play a female character. If needed, side characters of either gender can be brought in. Medieval is perfect. Whenever someone mentions Fantasy, it is the first thing my mind goes to. |
You may both play female characters if you desire. And when I said that you must choose between the genres, I meant that you each individually must choose; I am perfectly capable of playing two Medieval Fantasy role-plays or two Phantom of the Opera role-plays at once. xD
While I'm here, I just wanted to make sure: you both are alright with keeping these role-plays on Mene, correct? As in, on the Private Boards? |

Hm...How about this? We say that the Shapeshifter civilizations and the Elemental-Human/Elf/Things have been at odds (nothing too serious, yet) for generations and generations. In an attempt to promote peace between their peoples, two prominant families (one each from the two races in question) plan to create ties by marrying an Elemental-Human/Elf/Thing 'princess' to a Shapeshifter Nobleman's son. The wedding is planned and, for a time, all seems to be calm between the two races.. Until the wedding day, of course. Rebellions break-out on both sides and an all-out war arises in the very moment the bride-to-be begins to walk down the aisle (it is the first time either the groom or the bride have seen each other). In an effort to salvage any hope of peace-times, the Nobleman and the Princess escape the onslaught and go into hiding where, over the course of weeks (or even months) they foster friendship and, perhaps, even fall into true love. .. The End. xD @Lt. Summers: You may play whomever you wish, m'dear. ^^ I've even seen some folks play a sort of Phantom/Meg combination, though I have to say that I am rather partial to the Phantom/Made-up plots. ;3 |
Honest response: I love it!
For some reason, arranged marriage plots always catch my eyes either because of the idea of forced love or the hope of forming true, lasting love. If you would be so kind, I would be honored to turn that plot into an RP with you. For the race, are you open for anything? Also, would you like a character profile before or just jump into a story and let it form over time? I am slightly partial to the latter but whatever you wish. |
Certainly. ^^ I was simply using those two races as examples (though my character probably will be a Shapeshifter).
We can simply skip the list profiles and go straight to the written introductions if you wish, yes. Would you mind starting, puh-leeze. I can generally meet any post in size and detail, so don't worry about that. ;3 Write to your heart's content, darling.
As for the initial setting...how about just before the wedding is to begin? As in, when both the bride and groom are getting ready (getting pep-talks from their parents, being made fun of by syblings, etc.). |
