New and Looking to RP
 

I'm quite frankly have been itching to RP lately, and my usual 'sources' have seem to become dry for the Christmas season, so I figure I might as well try here. As I said, I'm new and hence not too accustomed to how things work here, so pardon me if I unintentionally perform a misdemeanor.

For my experience, I've been an RPer for around four years, though not all of them were good years. It's only been in the past year or so that I've tried improving and flexing my style and creativity, respectively. I have been told I tend to take too long on some things and other things are too short. But as they say, practice makes perfect, which is why I'm here.

To the point:

To start things off easy for me, I was thinking of having a simple 1v1 battle. Of course, I'd want it to be plot-driven based on whatever genre is chosen, perhaps with a bit of lead-in and lead-out, not just an-out-of-the-blue fight. As for the genre, I'm not too concerned; I'm fine with more or less anything, be it fantasy, futuristic, or otherwise. Though I'd prefer melee combat, be it fists or weapons, over that of ranged battling.
