As for the plot:
We can make the male a demon prince, and well he falls in love with a human. The two admit that, and the male also tells her about being a prince, and then something collides in their relationship that causes them to break off and like I'm not sure what happens next cause I just got this off the top of my head. xP

Ok. I'll go do that now. And that sounds like a great idea.

Maybe, when he tells her about being a prince, she breaks it off because he should have told her earlier, and then he gets betrothed to someone else, but he doesn't want to because he's still in love with her. [That was off the top of my head, too.]
