I'm looking for a male character to play with my Persian dancer-slave Aryan. Here's his profile:

Name: Aryan Cyrus
Sex: Male
Age: 17
Nationality: Persian
Appearance: Small and lithe, he has the body of a dancer, lean but strong and very flexible muscles. His black hair is cut to around ear-length and is soft and siken when it is looked after. Although most Persians have dark brown eyes, Aryan's are a deep, dark blue and by far his best feature. He is not stunningly good looking, but he is far from ugly, rather a quiet beauty of sorts.
Personality: Aryan is skilled at reading people and he tends to adjust the way he acts to the way those around him are acting. His natural personality is confident and often somewhat stubborn and his tongue usually has a habit of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time when he is at ease. However when he senses that his master is in a foul mood he can act very meek and obeying. He loves his dancing, it is his very soul and he could not live without it. He also has a need to be around people, if he is left alone for too long, he can be driven mad with loneliness, especially if he is somehow kept from his dancing.
History: Aryan was born to a poor Persian family that had a lot of children. He had an older brother, older sister, twin brother and a baby sister but his family couldn't afford to feed all of them so they sold him, his twin brother and his older sister were sold into slavery when the boys were five and the sister ten. He never saw his sister again.
The boys were bought as part of a dancing troup and it was here that Aryan discovered his increadible talent and love of dancing. His brother was equally as good but he was a lot more quiet and less confident than Aryan and his dancing suffered because of it.
Not long after their seventh birthday, a terrible accident befell Iman, the twin brother, and he was killed as a result of it. This so affected Aryan that he has since surpressed the details of the memory of it.
Since then he has been sold here and there as a dancer-slave.

It doesn't have to be a slave/master roleplay even if he starts out that way, your character could buy him and set him free if you like, infact that could be quite interesting since I've never taken this character in that direction before. If it is going to be a slave/master I would prefer it to be a male master, probably prefer it either way actually so you would have to be good at playing male characters regardless of whether you are male yourself or not. And I would prefer it if it wasn't a supernatural roleplay unless you did a good job in convincing me. I have a few ideas to turn him into someone with magic so to speak but it's over-the-top supernatural characters I am seeking to avoid like the plague.

I do insist on a minimum of two paragraphs per post, with each post leaving something for the other to do because otherwise the roleplay dies far too quickly. The only exception is if there is generally not a lot to write, as though they are in the middle of conversation, but if your character is left alone that's usually a reason to write more, not less.

To let others know, I live in Australia so my time is generally a most of a day ahead of America (since that's where the majority of people come from here) so during the afternoon/evening (depending on your time zone) is when I would be mostly online for your time period. I still post at least once a day, more if we're both online at the same time, and would like the same where possible. Naturally I'm understanding of family or life commitments though, we all have them :)

Finally I don't have any kind of over-arcing storyline or plot for this roleplay because that's not how I operate. I tend to just make it up as I go along, make little plot plans as I go, maybe tell you maybe not, and see where it leads. Of course you're welcome to do the same, would love it if you would, and if you think you can steer the story in that direction feel free to keep them secret if you like, or if you need to let me know to stay away from something that could destroy your idea just IM me and I'll do the best to do just that.

Now after reading all that, if you still want to roleplay with me post a little about yourself and your style, a character profile and whether you prefer to be contacted by msn or aim or not (otherwise I'll likely add you once we get going just for convenience) and we'll see where we can take this baby.

Are you strictly set on a Male OC for your dear Aryan?
For some reason he has sparked and idea in my brain, the down side is the OC that has appeared is female. Not saying that she couldn't become a he (she was very androgynous to start with) but I was wondering if perhaps it would be ok? If not I think I can rework my RP proposal, cause I don't think this idea will leave me alone.

No, sorry, I think male is definately what really clicks with Aryan. I've tried it with a female and... I don't know I just couldn't get into it the same way. I'm glad someone seems interested though :)

Unfortunately though I've never yet had a successful roleplay with a slave trader... they are normally just a minor character

Hi, I'm pretty interested. :) "Aryan" just kind of got me interested since that name means "noble and highborn" in whatever language. ^^

Aryan is a Persian name and I chose it more because I liked the sound and its look on the page than for its meaning... though likely when I was creating the character I had some reason for the meaning too that I have long since forgotten.

I don't mind that you're new to yaoi roleplays, I'm more concerned with people's ability to roleplay in general. It's so disappointing when trying to get back into roleplaying and you're continuously stuck with people who don't at least spell check their posts, don't leave something to respond to in posts or are plain lazy and don't describe things.

Mkay HW has had my soul so forgive me if this is rough. I haven't really played a male OC aside from minor characters, but I think it could work out.

Now this is some thing that strikes me as a possibly good RP. Can't say I am very into the whole slave master thing but I have a feeling you are a good story teller so it could work out. As for me I have been RPing for a bit, and as a fair warning I have a few issues of grammar. I don’t really use any sort of IM, but I respond pretty fast to PMs. Most of the time I am on later in the USA Central time, but that can vary depending on what school asks of my time.

I have a few ideas to start out with if you don't mind. Batu, long time slave turned servant of his older master has been sent out to find some thing new and interesting for the man.

Nationality: Mongolian/ Russian
Appearance: Batu is about 5’8” dark hair with a mix of European and Asian features. he has a more androgynous look, leaning more towards the look of a young boy. His hair is cut short, about his ears. His ears are pierced a few times with different bands of metal. Batu's eyes are a deep brown with a black band on the outer edge of the iris. His clothing is simple with dark colored garments trimmed in the house colors.

Personality: Batu is reserved in all his actions, he seems rather apathetic and simple mined to most out side of the inner circles of his master’s family. Preferring to speak little he lets his actions indicate what he wants from others. His moods have recently shifted to a more depressed and dark out look.

History: Batu was born in to slavery and at five years of age acted as a playmate for many wealthy families who also had him as a whipping boy for their children. By age 15 he had outgrown his job and was sold further south. After a few mix-ups of papers declaring him as a singing girl instead of a boy, he was bought and given to his current master as a playmate for his bed ridden son. Whom had demanded some one to sing to him. From 15 until 20 he became the boys nanny and primary caregiver. At his death, his soft qualities won the attention of the boy’s father and his unwavering loyalty won him his freedom a short time later. He currently has a vow never to sing again.

I always put a lot of meaning into the naming of my characters. xD That usually takes me the longest.

That's understandable, of course. It is a little irritating, some of the people I'm roleplaying with on Gaia / Roliana will just post one-liners and then when I ask them to lengthen their posts, they ditch me. :/

Don't worry tomboi those are my standards, not mene's :P I don't normally look for new people to roleplay with, because so many disappointments are involved with it, but my current rp buddies are busy with life for the most part at the moment so I'm craving something to do >.< Having just finished university myself though I know how homework can sap up time, so I'm understanding of that of course. So long as you let me know with a quick pm or something, just so I'm not checking back every half hour when I'm not at work or something. Even long breaks, if I love the roleplay I'll normally get back into it, got one going that has been going off and on for... wow, over two years now but has been put on hiatus from time to time because of me travelling and my friends with collage or whatever.

Kerrifox your character and idea sound great. Do you prefer to post roleplays in forums or to pm them? Personally I prefer posting them, both so they are easier to read over past posts and for the gold of course ^^ but if you prefer pms that's fine too.
