I'm fans of most types of fantasy. And I wouldn't mind at all doing something Chinese mythology-style, but I would want to read up a bit on it first before I started RPing. What are you plot ideas for the pirate and the ancient culture ones?

For pirates, it would be kind of fun to have rival captains that end up having to wrok together to escape the law and being hanged and all that. :3 And as for ancient cultures, I'm thinking some kind of Amazonian matriarchal culture that goes to war with a patricarchal culture, and perhaps some of the members of one side friend friends with some people from the other.

I can dream up some plot ideas for fairies and sea nymphs and gargoyles if you'd like. :>

I really like the sound of the pirate plot :3
We could have them start out in prison and stories could be floating around them about each other and come to find out their cells are near each other - and with them being so close, they strike up the truce and then they go off and their crews are mixed (about half from each crew is all that remains due to something happening at sea while the captains were in prison) and so the RP can then lead into the problems they have in who is captain of the ship and so on and so forth~
what do you think?

Ones like those in Vampirates or space pirates?
Also, would you mind if my captain is female?

I wouldn't mind your captain being female, I already have a female pirate captain OC as well. XD And I love for them to be fantasy/mythical pirates, mine are. :3
As for the sort of pirates they'd be, why not just whatever? My captain is a human sorceress, but the main members of her crew are composed of two humans, a human/sea nymph, two cats, a vampire, a demon, and sort of some sea nymphs that just follow them around all the time. I can, of course, change them all to a specific thing if you'd prefer.
And I was thinking along the lines of regular ocean-going old-school 1600's style pirates! But I can do space pirates or whatever else. :3

My OC has this thing where she can alter her appearance to look like any person she's ever seen and she can manipulate her voice to sound like any voice she's ever heard -- the only thing that doesn't change is her eye color~
And she has a fox-squirrel as her pet :3
as for her crew, I've never really decided it since I've never used her before xD
I think they'd probably just be regular common human pirates - though one might have a demon ancestry or something so could be a half-demon or whatever -- I'll figure that out at some point xDD

I like the 1600s ocean-going old-school pirates best myself :3
I just wanted to make sure we were on teh same page in that part so I'm not expecting that while you're expecting space or whatever xD

Some, yes. So Chinese Mythological Creatures... hrmmm. Current time or ages gone by? Do you have a setting in mind? Like forest or in a city?

Where the hangings of the two captains (because they're so famous) is being written about with a brief history of each captain below their pictures - do you have any artwork of your captain?

I love that for a title! But what about "The Captains' Truce | A Private Pirate Roleplay"? I was feeling like the word pirate in that first half there was a little much for the main title. But it's still great, either way! Once again: YOU ARE SO CREATIVE. :gonk:
