Looking for a fellow history buff for a Victorian or Restoration RPG. I like to create a plot with the characters in mind, so hit me with your best shot. I'll play anything guy girl, romance is ok. I'm kinda hardcore into the history thing though, so if the closest you've got to Victorian stuff is watching From Hell, we might not get along so well ^^()
I prefer England or France for settings.
Here's a starter:
Marcus sighed, removing his spectacles and placing them on the desk next to the ledger. His father having never been particularly organized in life had, if was possible, become even less so in death. The estate accounts were filled in haphazardly, the investments, those of which there were records, seemed to have no rhyme or reason. His father seemed to have opened several bank accounts and promptly forgotten them, it would take ages to track and consolidate all the funds. All in all a complete shambles.
He closed the ledger with a resolute motion, and stood up loosening his cravat. He walked over to the sideboard and poured himself a splash of brandy. He sighed as his eyes drifted over the pealing paint and layer of dust. The estate was falling apart and he had no idea how he was going save it.
That's kinda the drift.

From the female perspective:
Prudence quietly slipped in behind a potted fern making her way cautiously towards the edge of the ballroom. Just a few more feet and she'd be scott free, down the hall and into the library and... "Oh Prrrrruuuuu!" Prudence winced. Georgina. Oh gods. "Why ever are you lurking over there? Have you spotted something scandalous? I heard Lady Margery saying that Lord Havensten was pay far to much attention to.... " Prudence resisted the urge to bolt for the corridor knowing full well that Georgina would simply follow her, nattering all the while.Georgina leaned over placing her arm through Prudence's and lowering her voice"You know I would never go into the garden with..." Dear lords the woman still hadn't stopped. You would think the lack of ANY noise on the part of her companion would slow her down, but no she was still going breakneck. She must have the most prodigious set of lungs in all of England to talk for so long in a corset that tight, she was nigh spilling out of that thing for goodness sakes and... "And here's someone you simply must meet my dear.." Prudence's head snapped up. While she had been woolgathering Georgina had managed to drag her halfway across the ballroom and into a group of dandies whom had clearly been into the brandy this evening if the smell and their complete inability to focus on anything that wasn't a bussom was any indication. Escape had been so close....

Hello I have to say I'm glad to see someone else who loves history. I tried to start a victorian rp once when I first joined; sadly my partner left menewsha.
I love history movies, and yes I know when they change history just to fit the story. I will say I love Johnathan Rhys Myers as King Henry Vlll over the true King from history, but could you blame a girl lol.
Anyway I love Tutor life, Victorian era with the corsets and fashion , Elizabethan era with the globe theater.
I'm really up for any plot, we can make something up or twist things around with fact and fiction. I do post as much as my partner and sometimes more when I'm really into a rp.
So please PM with anything you have in mind, or we can think of something together. Ialso love the starter for your male character.

Romance is always fun, but what sort of mystery did you have in mind?

I love reading books that are placed in the 19th Century, like The mermaid in the Basement by Gilbert Morris. Its a mystery thats set back in 19th century London.
I must admit I'm not a history Buff, or anything of the sort. But I do love to do roleplays set in the victorian times.

Hidden artifacts which hold family secrets...ones which someone will kill to posses? Very Penny Dreadful. I don't mind doing a three or more way if that works for you guys.

Eee, I would love to roleplay with you. I love the Victorian Era. Not sure if I would be up to your standards, however.
Are you still looking?

Hey ya! I would love to role play something historic. I started a Regency one, but my partner disappeared and I was so distraught! I'm sure I'd be just as good with an Victorian one!
If you are still interested that is!
