Menewsha Avatar Community - I've got a cravin for some wild west love

I love historical romance, so I've been wanting to do an American Wild West story. You know, gunslingers, saloons, horses and whiskey. All that good stuff. I've even got a character ready to go and a first post so... please say you will!

Here's a sample. It focuses on the character's brother though, when I will be focusing more on Kate. That isn't to say Rafe, or any number of characters, won't come into the story. I like playing multiple characters.:

Rafe strolled along the dusty main street of Last Stop. "Howdy." He tipped his hat at a lady who hurried past him. In either direction, the end of the street and the edge of town was visible. Definitely not a big, bustling city but he claimed it as home. Even the people here had gotten used to Indians living in Last Stop. His white buckskin clothes did stand out amongst the more fashionably dressed citizens, but Rafe did that on purpose as if to challenge anyone to say something about it. He stopped by the station depot to check the mail and exchange a few words with the station master. Unlike the town, the tracks stretched back east as far as he could see and then some.
