Yeah, I agree. I tend to not like both bios and personalities. I'd rather just start playing and see how I end up making them be in the end just by instinct. Usually I have to have a base personality, but then just let it build up over time as I play...

Sounds like you've been playing a lot of hunter characters lately. xDD I have mostly demons and vampires at the moment. o_O For some reason, the people I find seem to prefer to play opposite of them rather than play them.

So I'm cool with the Contractor sent to assassinate. I'm even already getting an idea of what he should be like! xD Though I don't have any ideas for his Contract yet, either. >_>;;

Elves are awesome, I agree~ Though mine are probably not very Tolkien-like. I did read... er... The Hobbit, LotR, and Silmarillion. But I'm far, far more influenced by various Dungeons & Dragons campaign settings. xDD

Forgotten: Ah, yeah... I never played Dungeons and Dragons so I don't know much about that world. Guess I'm a little young for that anyways. Wasn't it popular back in the '90s? I didn't get out on the internet until like 2003 or so. Then my mom wouldn't let us do those sorts of games. xD I'm not so much for those sorts of games anyway. I prefer RPing and forums and avatars.
Ah, yeah... I've read all Tolkien's stuff I can get my paws on. Which means Lord of the Rings, the Silmarillion, the Hobbit, the Children of Hurin, Unfinished Tales, and I'm currently reading Tales from the Perilous Realms (which is just poems and short-stories that aren't really connected to the world of Middle Earth). I'm a rather big nerd when it comes to Tolkien. ;3

Yeah, it's popularity peak was probably then, but I'm not sure. xDD I first picked it up from video games, actually. But, although I played pen&paper D&D as well, that's actually not my favorite thing about it. D&D has multiple 'campaigns' or 'settings' under its tutelage, which basically means... worlds. Like Middle Earth is Tolkien's world. xD Each of them comes with its specifics and the likes. My avatar here is actually named after my favorite D&D-based campaign setting, rofl. And, sure, it has video games and tabletop stuff and what have you, but... most of its canon material consists of novels.

That's definitely more than what I've read. xD I see Tolkien's other books in stores here all the time, too, but for some reasons I've never gotten motivated to read more than what I already have. ._. I probably should. xDD

A really interesting race you'll find in D&D (in my opinion! xD) are the Dark Elves / Drow. Since we were talking about elves and such. xDD But, yeah, I definitely know what you're talking about. Alright then~ I'll get some sleep because it's 3 in the afternoon in here and I still haven't slept, like the time-waster I am, rofl. And then I'll get working on a starter post. ^^

Yeah! That's one of the main ones I looked at. Dark Elves and Drows are my favorite fantasy creatures next to Elves, and my all-time top favorite, Avariels. I don't remember what Avariels are from. It might have been D&D actually. I don't remember though. Anyway. I've made my own race in my world-in-my-head as you might have seen on the first page there. It's the only one that's really REALLY stuck and that I've developed a lot. They're similar to Dark Elves/Drows. It was inspired by the thought; it's sort of dumb how most enemies are, well, dumb and easy to defeat. Like orcs. They have a lot in number, but they're not particularly smart or agile or anything. Goblins. Same thing. So I wanted to make a race that was a real challenge for a race like Elves. Not just an ordinary Drow, but something specialized. Then, once I really started to develop it, I decided to make little sub-species of them and all; some that live in water, some in forests, some in deserts... etc.

Whew, that was a ramble.

Age- Looks 19 but is really 21, for he died at the age of 19
Bio- He was once a mighty hero, until his defeat in the final battle against the evil plaguing his home killed his body, since he was also successful in defeating the evil the guardian gods in the heavens above let him stay in the world of the living in his slowly decaying body. Due to his embarrassment and loss of pride, he left his home, Hyrule, behind him, without a goodbye to his loved ones who now think he is dead. He now wanders and explores the Earth with his best friend Midna, helping out anyone or any place that is in danger until the day the god's powers that keep him in the living world, the Triforce of Courage, is needed once more. It will be taken from him and his immortal soul will be put to eternal rest.
Personality- He is rather cold and uncaring due to what happened to him in the past, but he eventually shows his inner kindness the more time he spends with others. He usually forgets about all his own problems and his heroic instincts take over him whenever there is someone in danger, he'll bravely step in and fight off the threat though some look at him as if he is a foolish man whenever he does it.
Occupation- His job is to destroy any evil, no matter what it is or how difficult the mission.
Weapons- He carries all of his weapons in a magic item bag on his side belt, they shrink down to be placed in the bag and return to normal size when you remove them to be used properly. He carries his daggers and his own custom sword also on his side belt.
