Sorry if that was too confusing. Basically, they found the 4000 year old ruins of a ship. 4000 years of decay has destroyed most of the ship, thus rendering it inoperatable. However, some parts are still intact, and other can be restored using the technology humanity is using by the time they get to Titan. This includes a Faster-then-light Drive, an Artificial Gravity System, and a sub-light engine.
In basic terms, the technology to get to different star systems within a human's life time, to move around as though still on Earth while in the ship, and the abbility to cross a system (like our own) in about an hour. Using these devices, and a weapon from the ship that still worked, humanity used local building materials (you know, like Titanium) to build a new ship, and then installed the old ship's equipment into the new one. If that's still a little too confusing, we can try a different idea. |

Yes. Well, in the story, they already found it. We would start the RPG as it began its voyage, probably as the bridge crew. So, anything else, or should we get started and see where it goes?

Well, considering that a normal ship on the water has a crew of over 1000, we can have as few or as many characters as we want. (with plenty of NPCs to throw around.) I think I'll make the thread, since I think I know what we need. I'll go make it asap (unless you have any other questions)

I apologize for my absence, Anan.
I had a group project to deliver, a presentation to do, and now I've got a paper due Monday...and a stupid meeting with my professor on Tuesday. I'd really appreciate it if you would create the thread because I simply don't have the time at the moment. All of these things sort of got dumped on me in the last week, and I'm struggling to keep my head above water. I'll check back on and off all this weekend and Monday/Tuesday, and hopefully my schedule will get a little less insane after that. |
