Into the abysmal snows
 

The earth has been reduced to perpetual winter, only a select few survivors have gathered at Refuge, a fort in Missouri that is still in one piece, they are a rebel faction that is hiding from the remnants of the American government who have become opressive and cruel, many of the survivors at Refuge are taking up arms to fight back and scavenge for anything useful among the abysmal snowcaked lands.
