My idea involves a young man [played by you] and a little girl.

The young man sends paperwork in for government aid for additional income. Over a year goes by, and there's no answer. Out of the blue, a man comes and inspects his home, then says he's been accepted. A month later,the same man brings a little girl, a packet of papers, and the promise that pay will come soon. Does this appeal? =)

A runaway, after a week on the run, accidentally steps into a strange portal, and it transports him/her to a world of Demons. A leader of a brigand of Demon thieves takes him/her in. ((I will be the Demon. The other person can be anything but a Demon.))

should i put that on it? or should i slightly reword it?

Jake: You should probably reword it a little so it fits your character and how you want the storyline to go. :D
