Hello everyone! This is my roleplay-seeking thread. You might notice I'm not typing how I do in chattering threads-- this is because roleplaying is serious business for me. I started roleplaying in middle school at a small pokemon roleplay forum, and since then have improved greatly from being a godmodding illiterate. Currently, my level ranges from educated semilit (short but with proper structure) to literate (proper structure, up to four paragraphs).
So, here's a list of what I expect.
I expect...
weeaboo roleplayers to apply elsewhere. I don't do roleplays based in Japan, because weeaboo stuff ruined that for me. Keep the anime in videos and out of my thread please.
proper grammar and spelling to the best of your abilities with the aid of spellcheck.
creativity in ideas and characters. By this I mean premises that remind me of books and anime? No thank you.
reading comprehension equal to high school or above. This includes reading and understanding my entire messages, even in here.
at least one paragraph of at least four sentences. I'm trying to improve, not stagnate.
the ability to avoid taking things personally.
a reply at least every other day unless you let me know you'll be slow or gone.
friendship, that means talking in OOC and continuing to chatter in here after we're done planning.
a person to come here with at least some preferences and ideas. Don't make me do all of the thinking.
nobody to steal art for the sake of character sheets if they're used. Use either your own art, or art from someone you commissioned, or art that was given to you.
nobody to steal any character I introduce, be it animal or sapient, regardless of whether or not you think it's minor. I might have ideas involving them that just go poof the moment said character is stolen.

Feel free to suggest things. I really like the unusual though... As in, things that I haven't seen in just about every thread. These pairings can be romance, but at the same time they don't have to be. Items that are italicized are the roles I would like to play, but if you can convince me and have proven yourself skilled, I might let you have the italicized role.
Also, it has to be said-- I don't do fandom roleplays anymore. I grew out of being interested in them.

These ideas can be mixed and matched, but keep in mind that what they say might not imply the same thing as what I have in mind. Ideas I want to try very much will be marked with a heart, for lack of a place I can copy and paste in something more original. Italics indicate preference of role.

They detest metal and its use, though the occasional rogue will use it as long as he is promised that no other goblins will find out.
Frederica "Freddy" Miles - 26 - Human
.....This young woman is covered in freckles. When she smiles, her mouth is nearly always open unless it's forced. She has light brown hair, green eyes with little intelligence behind them, and a boyish body, save for large breasts contained only by a back bra and a shirt that is missing a button or two. She wears short shorts and flip flops unless she is at work, where she wears the required pants, shoes, and jacket.
.....Born to a middle class family, Frederica decided she was going to be called Freddy. When she was five, she found a baby bird on the side of the road that was halfway smooshed. Despite her best efforts, she could do nothing and it died in her hands. Since then, she decided she would be a veterinarian. During college, she spent her rent money on a cargo van and moved into that so that she could get things done rather than putz around with an apartment. Despite her appearance of being a ditzy dumbass, she graduated with honors from both levels of college. Currently, she lives in her van and works for a grouchy veterinarian because she can't save up enough for her own office because of a need for food.
Mickey Smith - 19 - Human
.....Mickey is a plain girl-- short and slightly chubby with c-cup breasts and pale skin. Her hair is black and she has brown eyes. There is a faint scar on her belly from when a dog bit her as a child. Her outfits vary day by day, though they tend to be described as modestly fashionable.
.....Throughout her life, her parents have been supportive of most of her choices in life. During her brief phase of wanting to be a tattoo'd punk, they bought her henna supplies and hair dye, telling her that if she continued wanting this for over a year, they would pay for her first real tattoo. That stage didn't last. When she was sixteen, she declared herself a lesbian after her first date, calling all guys bastards. Her mom set her up with a nice girl, and they had good times until Mickey discovered that while she liked breasts, there was something under the pants she wanted that her girlfriend didn't have. The two parted on good terms and remain good friends. Throughout school and even in college, her grades have never slacked, especially once she started being active online. Her first year of college was horrible on her nerves, especially since her parents died. Since then, she has yet to screw up anything and is even tutoring students. Mickey is not aware that one of her online friends manipulated her into this studying machine.

.....Jethro is muscular and of average height for his age. His eyes are brown, and he has no hair on his entire body, though he does have quite a few scars. He wears a loin cloth in the style of a wrap and a white tunic with the emblem of the templars embroidered on the front.
.....As the second son of a noble, he was sent to the church to become either a soldier of the church or a scholar. He chose the life of a soldier and became a templar. Through hard work and conditioning, as well as blessings from his teachers, he became able to create his own energy, so long as he ate impossibly large servings. He rarely sleeps and tends to be polite unless a person insults the church. Jethro did not complete his dungeon run normally, but was frozen in place for five years, emerging to his memorial service once he finished. He owns all the pieces of the sword gained from completing certain quests, but because he is sentenced to death by purging fire, he cannot have the pieces smithed together.
