It's for our class final. My group just decided we were all gonna dress up. We have someone dressing up as an old man, a girl in a chicken suit, another girl in a sweater that looks like DNA, and I dunno about the rest. The entire class is making a Japanese version of "A Christmas Carol" and we're gonna watch it on the last day of class.

RP would preferably take place post-game. Probably starting with some Squinoa drama.

Hm...I'll have to get back to you on that since I can't think off the top of my head while studying. I know for sure I don't want *incredibly long* posts because it's just hell to go through with a billion other roleplays. 1-2 paragraphs per post is fine. Seriously. I don't know why people end up writing novels.

How about Squall's still the Commander or whatever his title was for Balamb Garden, and Quistis moved to someplace else...doesn't really matter which place it is. Years have passed, they've moved on, and Garden has made its temporary location wherever Quistis is for a while, since she's not quite "Instructor" anymore.

I don't usually type so vaguely like this but again, I'm just fraught for ideas right now while studying at the same time.

While I'm trying to brainstorm up a plot for me and Ouca's RP, I want to know: is there anyone out there interested in historical RPs? I'm talking Regency or Victorian era, preferably with fictional but historical accuracy.

But I would be very interested in doing a roleplay with you. I'm not particular about which, so long as it is cohesive to both parties interests.

Holy crap, do you really talk that formal normally? I read your Requests thread and well, I like Twilight, but I wouldn't want to RP it (been there, done that, turned out horribly wrong) so I don't know how we'd get along. I don't know if I would be acceptable for your standards, as it takes me forever to eke out a good reply. Really, it takes me a long time to think about things. However, now is a good time for me to roleplay because school's out and my attention can be focused more on the Internet, I guess.

Maybe that's not so much of a good thing.

Do you need any samples of mine? As for the Twilight thing...I don't think we'd be able to get along because we're probably going to hate each other primarily. However, if you're willing to bypass all that, I would be more than happy to do an historical RP with you.

I am not a speed poster, and I don't need a novel each time that you post. I merely ask that it isn't a grammatical nightmare. And that there is some cohesion and intelligible focus of each post.

I am not so petty as to belittle you for liking Twilight. What you read is your business, and if you enjoy it, more power to you. I would never hold that against someone. I just don't want it in my roleplays. Nor do I enjoy it when people try and base sparkling vampires from a non fanbased roleplay into inappropriate universes. That's my only peeve. xD

I'm assuming that we'll be playing Ladies and Gentleman of the ton or perhaps there might be a few lowly servants in the mix. I'm not sure, I suppose it depends on the plot.

I'm leaning more onto the side of Regency because the Victorian England dialect (a la Sweeney Todd) isn't something I'm used to typing. Besides that, I read too many romance novels and they primarily take place in the Regency Era (the ones I read anyway).

Sub themes...intrigues, masquerades, creepy jealous ladies who are trying to snag the bachelor of the year while the heroine plays indifferent?

No, we do need a good plot to play off on. Mystery, thriller, someone getting trapped somewhere (although it would be interesting if the crazy ladies of the ton trapped the bachelor somewhere and the heroine ends up rescuing him). And the guy's probably not into wife-hunting but prefers having fun while he still can. Maybe he's part of the Royal Military, or something.

Okay, I just remembered I put up the link for "The Big List of RPG plots" on the front of the thread, so I'm scouring it for ideas. Perhaps the girl is like a thief, and she stole something from the guy, and he wants to get it back. Or he can find something to blackmail her with.

Oh my gawd, I'd never write in dialect. Its way too annoying to constantly edit things and spell check hates it. lol!

OMG...you read romance novels too!? HOLY SHIT! And dialect is crazy. I've got like...around eighty books on top of my computer shelf though. I primarily read Brenda Joyce (she is my absolute favorite), a bit of Sherrilyn Kenyon (met her this year at Comic Con & she signed all my books, yay!), Kat Martin, Gaelen Foley, Larissa Ione, Cathy Maxwell, Sabrina Jeffries...let's just say there's a lot. :D What about you? Like, who's your favorite author & favorite book? Mine's Brenda Joyce's The Masquerade. It was my first romance novel I'd read and it holds a very special place in my heart.

We do need to narrow the list down, but we can pretty much combine the "steal/blackmail" part so far.

I'll be gone for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day because I'll be off to Disneyland. Just a heads up to everyone.

I just fixed the front page so it's less cluttered. Thankfully I noticed that I had two other posts I could edit so I used those as reserves and ended up moving some parts of the first post downwards. Ward, ah, I have more, I've honestly read a lot of regency, but the authors are escaping me right now, probably because I read them in just one day and pick up another one. They don't take me very long. xDD I will give you a bigger list when I'm near my collection~!

My idea is, that a rich gentleman acquires a very nice piece of jewelry or artwork, something seriously expensive and a high end thief has been tracking this item. She briefly enters high society and enters his home one night while they're having a ball, and scopes out his home. They meet and like each other and he invites her over for tea and starts to court her. and I'm sure you see where I'm going with this? :3

Hello Maurgerite. My name is Talitha. I am very interested in doing a role play with one of the historical timelines in it.
1) Greek
I am a huge fan of the gods and goddesses. I love doing role plays based on them.
2) Egyptian
I know its not listed in your role play lists but looking at them I thought you might like to try it. Once again its gods and goddesses or a prince and princess/forbidden love angle. I love that.
3) Medieval
I love this theme because it lets you do a prince and a princess thing or something similar. I love knights and dragons and such.
4) Victorian
I do love balls and fancy dresses. This is always a fun idea.

Now I beilive you asked for a role play example so here goes.

Lina wandered around aimlessly. She was in the wooded area behind her house. It was comfortable and cool. The sun was setting. She listened to the animals settling down in there homes. It was getting dark and with a sigh she headed towards her home. She stayed out later than usual knowing that it would keep her occupied for a while. Her parents were fighting when she left and she wanted to make sure she got home after they went to bed. She looked up at the dark sky and the trees overhead. It was a little creepy but it did not bother her afterall she never saw anyone when she was around here.

Victor happily lived in a small villiage. He had a huge palace that he loved to rule over. He had many servants and slaves. As a demon he ate a human once a month or so. He had to make sure that he kept himself fed or else he would die. He treated his servants and slaves well. Even the ones he ate were treated very well and most were quite willing to die for him. They knew what there master was and were more than willing to serve him until their lives ended. Victor was bored now. He had heard of an angel running around the villiage and he was curious about her. He had seen her a couple of times but had not the nerve to speak to her. He planned on meeting her for the first time tonight. He was just trying to figure out how their first meeting should be.
