Hi, you can just call me by my username (or a shortened variation). This is my RP request thread and these are my personal guidelines. If you don't like to read, then you're in the wrong place!

I'm only interested in literate role-plays, so only post if you're willing to give proper grammar and spelling some effort. I do not expect perfection; we all make errors. However, there is a difference between honest mistakes and laziness.

This is a story and I expect it to be written as such. Complete sentences, description, flow, and detail are important things to keep in mind. This is not, however, a contest to see who can take up the most space with one post. Write what fits best for the moment! Don't think that you must extend an answer to a "yes or no" question into five paragraphs--and unless it suits the character, please don't. Likewise, don't bore me with bland one-liners every single post that don't really give me anything but the most basic understanding of what your character's doing. I can't work with nothing and I do enjoy posts with substance. One-sentence responses are useful sometimes, but please know the difference!

This also means that I will not be doing/accepting "bios" and character profiles. If you want to tell me a little about your character or show me a picture in the OOC thread, great--and feel free to discuss other details there, as well. However, please don't use these things as a creativity crutch. I expect every necessary detail about your character to be described/explained/unveiled at some point in the story.

I do not do fan-fiction. Do not come to me with characters, plots, or settings that are fandom-based or simply not created by you at all. It's one thing to be inspired by a copyrighted creation, quite another to use it outright. The latter does not interest me at all.

I'm also not interested in making solely romance-based RPs, so I'd rather not hear about "pairings", either. If characters are compatible and the story allows for it, then it may happen, but I do not like forced romance/relationships in a story. I want something to happen besides people falling in love.

As for plot/genre, I have a wide variety of interests. However, everyday "real life" stories tend to bore me. That's not to say I can't find realistic plots interesting if I think they're done well; it's just unlikely as far as RP goes. I almost always enjoy having at least one element of sci-fi or fantasy thrown into a story. However, I do not like "fantasy overload" in which people feel the need to throw in all manner of magical nonsense just because one character happened to have some strange condition. I don't want to see two or more different types of fantastic elements in one story unless the plot and setting allow for it to make sense. If we're in magic-land where everybody's one of a million different races of spell-casting furry aliens, great. Go nuts. If we're not, though, then don't make John secretly a werewolf just because Sally is secretly a vampire.

My rules are simple: Aside from everything mentioned above, please follow the site's rules/TOS and be sure to let me know if you feel you are going to quit or be gone for an extended period of time (a week or more). In addition, I would prefer that large signatures or post styles/images be turned off. Small signatures are OK, but I would prefer no images within posts at all.

With all that out of the way, anyone who is interested is welcome to present me with ideas or ask me about any I may have. Right now, I am not leaning toward any specific plot type, so I'm very open to suggestions.

I am not sure what I am in the mood at the moment...if you Like we can just brain storm? Until we Fancy the same thing, I agree with your entire post about romance. I like to have romance, but its so.....cliche. Maybe there is just lust (Pg-13 for reasons I don't need to explain) Anyways, I am open to everything but "Pairings" and "Fan based" I also, really hate that, where is the fun if the story AND the characters have been created? Anyways, I am interested if you are.

The only thing that's really been sticking in my mind lately is something animal-related. Would you mind working around that? It could go in pretty much any direction you want to take it. (I tend to get vague ideas and build on them first, rather than just starting off with a plot. I hope it doesn't make things difficult.)

hm.... the God/demons thing sounds really interesting and so does the enchanted/evil/ land or whatever. i've also wanted to try a vampire rp, but i really dont want it to be like twilight. well there are my thoughts. what do you think?

I never cared for Twilight... When it comes to vampire stuff, I usually have my own take on things, though it's a versatile concept that can be taken a lot of different ways depending on how you want the story to go. Mine are usually regular people with a condition, but it's fun to make them something magical or even monstrous, too.
As for the god thing, I've only done one RP like that so far (though I've done several different stories with that theme, too). That's another one you can do a lot of different ways, depending on what the goal of that deity is. In the RP I did, he was a nature god who used his powers to take over a small country.
If we did do something with the god/demon concept, it could easily be tied into an enchanted land thing, as well--though that one would also be fun by itself. Or you could fill it with vampires... XD So many ways to twist things!
The forest idea is the newest; I haven't actually tried anything with that yet, so I'd be really interested in seeing how it plays out. You can mix one or both of those other ideas into it, or not. What would you prefer?

hm, well i think the whole forest thing is really cool, maybe throw a god or demon in there that made it that way? I dont know, just brain storming. Or the forest could just be full of strange beings and creature like vampires and stuff?

I'm pretty much up for anything. so if you have an idea we can go with it or we can brainstorm some more.

I kind of like the idea of the forest just by itself, being full of creatures and things. :3 It's different from most of the stuff I've been RPing/writing lately.

Hmmm, I do enjoy your style of writing, however I cannot find any common ground for a roleplay. I do like realistic based roleplays with some twists, but I'm not particularly fond of vampires, werewolves, etc. because they are so cliche and are all over the place. Eh, I just feel that if you're playing with vampires, it'll get dull after a while. And, to spark life, that's when people start distorting characters and making them realize they have magical hidden powers.

Need less to say, I guess I will have to get back to you on a story and plot. If you happen to think of something that seems suitable, please don't hesitate to share. I will warn you though, I've participated in many roleplays and it just seems as if originality is dead these days.

It would definitely be nice to have at least one character who lives in the forest, which I wouldn't mind doing myself. You can have a character there, too, if you like. There's no limit on how many people/things are in the story.
As for how the other character(s) enter(s) the forest, I'm not sure what I like best. There's the old "looking for X and get trapped by the forest, which is trying to protect X..." Or we could go the route of them just looking for the forest itself. Then again, maybe they weren't looking for anything and just stumbled into it. Any of those would be fine with me, though I'm a little more interested in them looking for something that is protected by the forest. It would allow for more substance and twists/turns later on.

Wavikz: I don't have any other plot ideas by themselves right now unless you'd be willing to discuss older plots I've worked with in past RPs or stories. Lately, I've been wanting to create new ideas together with my RP partners. I'm in no hurry, so if you are interested or have something you'd like to brainstorm with me specifically, feel free to come back and post at any point. While I don't care much for completely realistic plots, as I've said, I'm quite versatile.

oooo i like your idea of trying to find something protected by the forest. I think i will just stick to a character thats doing the searching. well now thats we have got that down, how are we going to start this?

I figure maybe an introduction of the item and the creatures in the forest/why they're protecting it, followed by a post introducing the character's quest to find said item. Do you have an idea in mind for what that item would be, or would you rather me just make something up and start it?

Okay, so after much consideration I want a roleplay that starts off with a pizza being delivered to a party. We can then make stuff go down from there. Ha ha. I know, it's really vague, but I've been craving a roleplay that starts with a hot pizza delivery guy.
