Do you play multiple characters?

If so, then I am looking for you.

That's right my beautiful ladies and gentlemen. I am looking for role players who not only double or triple, but can actually play several characters in one role play. Let's face it. Two characters don't make up the world we're going to be playing in (or I hope we're going to play in). There are other people there. Friends of your character, friends of my character, families, strangers who want to cop a feel, or even a stalker that wants to break up any relationship my and your character has. It's diversity at its finest!

...

Right. Moving on. If you can play more than two characters and move the plot along, I'm looking for you. I also want someone who can give me more than one sentence or dialogue to reply to. Move your character! Interact with mine! Give me lots of somethings to reply to so it doesn't feel like a chore to role play with you.

As said before, I can play multiple characters and they aren't limited to one gender and one sexual preference. I can play both men and women, both straight and gay (I've never played a lesbian before though but I'm willing to give it a try).

I give fast replies. I kid you not. I log in everyday and more often than not, once I read your post, I'll give a reply right away. That said, sometimes I just don't feel like replying for a while. Wait for a couple of days before PMing me about my post because I'm either busy, being lazy, or just generally not inspired. If a week pasts and I still haven't posted something, then I will usually contact you about it. If not, feel free to give me a tug through PMs. If you don't reply for a week, expect me to come knocking on your e-door asking why.

This last bit is as important as the multiple characters bit. I WANT A PERSON WHO HAS A VERY GOOD GRASP OF THE ENGLISH GRAMMAR. I want someone who can transform a basic 'she said with a shrug' to something as picturesque as 'she nonchalantly mentioned. She even shrugged her slender shoulders just to emphasize how unimportant the information was to her'. I know about typos and missing words. I won't eat your head for those because I make them too.

For post length, I usually mirror you and what I write depends on what I'm given but for the record I can do several well-thought out paragraphs. They usually range from four (lowest) to fifteen (that's right. FIFTEEN) in number. I can do more if I feel really inspired by your post or by our role play.

As for who starts, I'll make you a deal. I have an account in gaia and they have this nifty random number thingy. Choose a number between one and two. I'll put it in a random number generator and whoever gets chosen will start the role play. I only do thread role plays by the way. I'm broke you see and I would very much like to earn some Mene currency while I role play. It's an incentive for me.

If you're all this and more, then I would really love to role play with you. Below is a hurriedly compiled list of what I do. It isn't everything I do but well...everyone's got to have a basic list. In any case, if what you want isn't there then just give me a holler. The worst I can do is say no.

Please post here for inquiries.

-comes in- :D I can play up to...six? characters at one time. Do I win?

Pacific Islander 10-14-2010 07:14 AM

Indeed you do! Welcome! Is there any particular role play you have in mind?

Arcturus Sinclair 10-14-2010 07:19 AM

Hm. I've had the yearning to do something where my main character is a transsexual. So maybe an all-whatever gender we pick- college and my character, not fully transitioned, sneaks in?

Pacific Islander 10-14-2010 07:22 AM

It's good. I'm getting some ideas from it. What do you mean by not fully transitioned though?

Arcturus Sinclair 10-14-2010 07:26 AM

They haven't had the surgery yet, but are on the hormones.

Pacific Islander 10-14-2010 07:32 AM

Ah. Well why not? Let's give it a try. I'd like to have a more stable plot though than to just base it around the characters. Would it be alright if we brainstormed a bit more?

Arcturus Sinclair 10-14-2010 07:34 AM

Of course, plot is good.

Pacific Islander 10-14-2010 07:35 AM

I'll get the ball rolling then. Hmm...how about something relating to fraternities?

Arcturus Sinclair 10-14-2010 07:39 AM

Like, one of our characters is forced to do something really horrid to the other to get accepted into said fraternity and instead the first character befriends them? -tilts head-

Pacific Islander 10-14-2010 07:45 AM

Well there's an idea. xD We can add that if you want.

I was thinking more in the lines of a war between two frats and somehow, a couple of our characters are pulled in to the middle of it?

Arcturus Sinclair 10-14-2010 07:47 AM

Maybe in the war is where the prank happens? :D

Pacific Islander 10-14-2010 07:53 AM

Why not? It'll prove an ample distraction. Hmn...anything else? I think we need one more base plot to make it solid.

Arcturus Sinclair 10-14-2010 07:56 AM

Hm. The only thing that's coming to me is that your character finds out about mine's trans-ness and could use it against them, but doesn't. ...I dunno. D: I'm shocked my brain has given me anything at almost four am.

Pacific Islander 10-14-2010 08:03 AM

Oh don't worry. You're not the only one who's shocked their brain is capable of squeezing out some form of plot. I haven't slept in two days. I can't believe I even thought about frats. @[email protected]

And okay. We'll use that yeah? But I think introduction posts will have to be saved for when we've both gotten some sleep. xD

Which number by the way? One or two?

Xurxo 10-14-2010 08:06 AM

I have a habit of enjoying playing many characters in a single setting since it gives it a bit more ...substance, I guess you could say.

Also, I really like fantasy settings, and am open to a variety of characters. What sort of fantasy do you enjoy, though?

High fantasy...modern fantasy? Just so I get a grip on what sort of things to start...presenting you with. I like either of the genres. I'm more experienced with modern fantasy currently, but used to write a lot of High Fantasy. x)

Arcturus Sinclair 10-14-2010 08:08 AM

One or two? Huh? I'm sorry. -points at sleepy brain- And yeah, I think saving them would be good. XD

Pacific Islander 10-14-2010 08:11 AM

Hello Xurxo and welcome!

Too true. I usually find myself randomly inserting a character here and there during interactions between the main characters...just to spice things up.

I enjoy both types of sub fantasy genres. I have no preference as to which one but if you'd like, we could do the modern one and brainstorm from there? I'm not a fan of vampires though so if it involves those night creatures, it has to have a very good solid plot. ^-^;

Arc: Seventh paragraph of the first post deary. I need you to choose between the numbers one and two. ^-^

Xurxo 10-14-2010 08:17 AM

Hello to you, too ^^;

Vampires are pretty much toss away characters for me. Only inserted if necessary. And modern fantasy is easy to work with and a lot of fun because we can use familiar landscapes and take them to fun places xD. Maybe a place where being unique like such isn't necessarily such a terrible stigma, but they're still sort of feared. They're basically the every day people - the business owners, students things like that. It's fun to have people discover others like them.

Yeah...I like to develop the setting to help figure out what exactly is going on and bringing the others together. It kind of helps the plot create itself. /weird, maybe at 4am.

Arcturus Sinclair 10-14-2010 08:19 AM

Oh. Okay. ^^ Two. (Yay for my even numbers OCD)

Pacific Islander 10-14-2010 08:26 AM

I only play vampires when they're nasty sons of _____ and can't have intercourse. I mean...they're corpses. @[email protected]

Oh so it'll be a place where people who have their third eyes open and such are somewhat already accepted? Not completely as there might be some die hard people (activists?) who fear the unique characters? It'll be fun to role play one of the activists...heh.... xD

Developing a setting is always good. Often the plot itself revolves around the setting like you said. Usually, once the setting is established, I can get a good visual on what kinds of characters would be available to play there.

Arc: Looks like I'm starting then. I just rolled a random number and it came up to one. xD I'll work on the introduction post tomorrow and send you a link to the thread.

Arcturus Sinclair 10-14-2010 08:28 AM

Yay! Okay. ^^ I'll be here, hopefully less sleepy. XD Oh, and gender? I forgot to ask that. XD

Xurxo 10-14-2010 08:33 AM

Ahahaha, that is great. And I agree. They are dead. They have no bloodflow. :3

Exactly what I was thinking. There's going to be hatred, as there always is with something new. And unique people with unique abilities or....you know, not people. So maybe we should focus on the struggle of the activists who dislike it and the accepting group. And then also the ones who are those who are unique, and create their own world that they feel free in~ like...hidden and underground places. We can kind of touch on both parts separated and together.

Pacific Islander 10-14-2010 08:43 AM

Arc: Oh right! Ahaaha! XD I think I'll have a go at females this time. I've been playing males non-stop since I came to this site. So all-girls university then?

Xur: Way I see it, vampires are just evolved zombies.

Oh nice! That's a great interpretation to their world. There will be three groups and there's going to be three types of point of views with characters. As for hidden places, how about we make it a bit like the Court of Miracles in Disney's Quazzimodo (sp?)? You'd have to go through a couple of questionable places to get there I mean?

I feel like there's still something missing though...I wonder if we can start it with a big movement from the activist group. Oh wow. I just got a good idea for an activist character. My mind wanders far too much. xD

Xurxo 10-14-2010 08:51 AM

Yep. Exactly what I'm thinking, too. On the questionable places, thing.

And I think we do need to find something that's missing. Maybe when it starts there's a huge movement going on. Maybe they're wanting to force something upon the unique. Obvious identification. Orrrrr....some sort of special registry that's kind of like the sex offenders registry that people can view online (lmfao -- odd comparison) if it passes. Maybe that's what they're trying to pass or get presented into law locally since there's such a concentration of those sorts there?
